Friendly reminder to any Imperial fans that they still lost The rebellion, despite having far fewer resources, made sure to strike targets that counted and destabilized the empire by simply existing. They took the best of gurillea warfare from our world and applied it to the galaxy at large. And whenever the empire oppressed people and clung to its power it’s simply no surprise that rebellion emerged. Blowing up Alderaan probably was the best recruiting tool for the empire, if they hadn’t been comically evil and had actually created stability, peace and prosperity then there would have been no rebellion. Their aesthetics are also a lot cooler than the empire’s. They have their soldiers in practical uniforms instead of stupid white armor. Their fighters were based off of hot rods (Lucas I believe discussed that once) and everything that they use feels a lot more natural then whatever the empire fought with
@@dankuser8303 the empire improved every system it touched, the republic was a republic with monarchs and royals that also couldnt defend its people effectively and caused lack of stability which was the whole reason why the CIS existed. there are no perfect galactic governments, only difference is the empire did better than every other regime that came before it.
Yeah the Empire is cool and all, but the Rebels and their uniforms did make them look like legitimate military. Wish we could've seen some more camouflaged stormtroopers in newer SW, but the white armor is just too iconic to be replaced tbh. Also nice ending there lmao
The thing i love about the rebellion is that even tho they are noway near the power as the empire they still have their own unique little things such as their blasters, uniforms, troopers, ships and bases.Similar to Half-life's combine vs lambda resistance you are always gonna support the bad guy because they look cooler while you fail to notice how equally cool the underdogs are.
Watching this again I like how it feel that the edit escalates after the destruction of Alderaan, before we mostly see fighters and small groups of soliders, but after that we see the rebel fleet for the first time. It’s a nice touch as the rebellion got a lot more powerful after Yavin, though it’s kinda understated in canon.
agreed in Star Wars: Legends the rebels had several fleets and their special forces had armor that resembles purge troopers in canon. The alliance felt like an actual military force that had several competent officers running it. Although I prefer the Andor vibe of the rebels being as brutal as the empire I hate how canon took away their power. There aren't even major battles in canon that didn't involve our main heroes as they did in legends such as the battle where the X-wings were introduced. They also took away rebel armor such as the T-series of tanks with only the T2-b tank being canonized and only because they didn't want to design a new one for the single comic it appeared in.
As an Imperial Fan, I like this, because the bigger reason the rebellion won is the larger presence of Competent Officers and leaders, better planning, and simple good, honestly, if it weren't for Palpatine, and Tarkin (Star Destroyers are cool and powerfull but flawed, and spammed) the Death Star (Super Weapons are nice but, when do you actually need them?) Tie Fighters (Flawed but a good chasis or cockpit for modifications or for newer models, like Interceptors a better Starfighter) and the whites of the armor of Stormtroopers (I mean Army troopers Exist, why not use them in endor.) Just look at Thrawn basically, even with the flawed assets, he still brought the New Republic to its knees, but still lost due to the famous ally of the Rebellion and the New Republic, the Force (aka Plot Armor)
Honestly the design of the star destroyer is pretty good but the thing is imperials are dumb enough not to bring screening and anti starfighter ships with them simply because the star destroyer is faster than them. The imperial navy was the best in the galaxy they had 25,000 star destroyers compared to the rebels 2175 mc80 cruisers and they had millions of support ships compared to the rebellions 70,000 the empire was good on paper but flawed because of Palpatine and tarkin.
@@Hallo13147 In legends it is stated in the essential guide to warfare that the Rebels had a total of 4 fleets ,the 1st being the home fleet, each fleet had 300 to 400 capital ships(big cruisers and destroyers) and at their height the rebel alliance navy was 7 percent the strength of the imperial navy which would give them 1750 capital ships. Canon nerfs the rebellion heavily meaning they only have 100-300 capital ships
Officers in the rebel alliance are mostly old because almost all of them came directly from the grand army of the republic which was 19 years before the rebels came into power
Friendly reminder to any Imperial fans that they still lost

shut up, long live the empire.
@@DanSobrevivente Lmfao how is the Empire going to live if they're already dead 😂
Yes the rebels won, but the New Republic is an awful government that can't run the galaxy the way that the empire did.
@@simplemanboba I fully agree that the New Republic sucked. I won’t defend it, though I think it had clear potential that was never realized

“So what do I sacrifice? Everything!”
Edits about the Rebellion are quite rare to see but this is very cool. Subscribed! Would love to see an edit for Tarkin or the CIS.
I made an edit on the death star, it has a lot of footage with Tarkin. I'll add both to the list, thanks!
The Rebels will always be one of my favorite fictional military forces.
edits like these remind me how much I love star wars
Im actualy Empire fan but damm, your edits about Rebellion is great
Ah you have posted! Great Video.
Down with the Empire! Down with tyranny!

rebels for life
As much as I love the Empire the rebel commando drip is impeccably good. The U-Wing too...such a beauty of a ship.
I am glad to be an inspiration, nice edit btw
Inspirational
Still to this day I would do anything for a Hoth Rebel Uniform or the Rebel Uniform from Rogue One
Same man they look so cool
For me it's the Alderaanian Consular Security/Rebel Navy trooper uniform. It's just ✨iconic✨

Sometimes I wish we got a clone wars style animation on the galactic civil war
