I just didnt like the whole cup of reincarnation, it just felt like everything that had previously happened was pointless. Like instead of not killing of a single character they actually do, but just bring them all back in the end, which i didnt really like.
That's weird because in the storyline itself it talks about how that world has been created multiple times because it's been destroyed multiple times So I think this lines up really well with how the story portrayed itself
@@terelld.7456 I get what your saying but imagine if they took another direction. Like not bring them back you know and not erase everyone’s memory. It would’ve been predictable but still satisfying.
There is nothing weird about it. We have the strongest Monarch/ruler showing the others rules how you fucking use the cup of reincarnation. Difference between rulers and monarch when they go back in time is that they need time to go to earth. While Jin woo is already there with a Big part of his shadow army.
Ending was perfectly fine for me, as a non-LN reader. Sure the fight against the dragon monarch could have been better, but it wasn't terrible. Some maybe have an issue with the time travel, but I didn't mind it and found myself even happy for Sung to be able to live a life unbothered by monarchs or rulers. Especially that last panel was a great moment to end on
@@radomirt6001 dont get me wrong but the Manhwa ending was dissapointing and they rushed it quite a bit i expected more than that we never saw Jin-woo getting Married with Chae-hin having a Sun his sister getting Married with Jinho And Jin-woos Son having the Same Power his Father has with a even Higher Potential and seeing them Fighting Monster ect out in space
I found the entire last arc a bit rushed, but overall I got the sentiment and felt the ending was fine in context. I also didn't give a shit about Cha Hae-In and Jinwoo's romance so that's me.
Sounds like the Web Novel actually ended up with the most satisfying ending. It still has him healing the Chairmen, but then it closes on Jin Woo after returning to Earth reconnecting with Jinho at University, while we get Jinho's inner-monologue about how crazy this Jin Woo guy is, how Jin Woo is dating Hae-In, and it just kind of ends it with them talking. Simple, effective and satisfying. The whole Rulers thing feels entirely tacked on just for sequel-baiting.
But at the same time the LN actually goes further into the future, where jin woo actually marries Hae-in and had a child with beru being the absolute cutest godfather along with the rest of the shadows. Many cute stories afterwards. More things on ln but im lazy to type
It’s all in the web novel. He heals the chairman and the chairman still dies. Sjw becomes a detective. He get’s married. He has kids. Everything is still the same. They just end in different places. The web novel ends at the end because it’s the original. The manwah ends before the epilogue showing only a little bit of the epilogue stories.
@@depressedonion9080 im really exited cause the manga recently released an announcement stating that they would be doing some of, if not most of the epilogue chapters from the LN

Solo leveling ended, at the cup of reincarnation, and him diving into the tier, to finish everything. What we got after, is a small gift, an afterstory, that was there just because author new people wont be satisfied. Manga, ends at the same point, and the last last chapter coming after it, is just telling us there is slightly more content in the novel. Want to get the full thing, read it at the source... It's like watching the movie, and leaving just before the ending credits, and missing all the juicy things they add at the credit scenes XD
@@nerolost4347 there’s a leak, the guy who said we were getting a movie for black clover and was right said we were getting an anime, so I’ve got my hopes up

Because he might be focusing the next or final chapter which he might be tired of making another climatic battle and something missing...
And beru is became his son's godfather in a way It's so sweet just read last 10 to 15 chapters of the novel and you will cry especially when he sees iron after many years because he went back to being a human and not a shadow soldier
As a LN reader, I was also disappointed in many parts of the manga and how some fights were rewritten for the manga. Some examples: Thomas (Scavenger Guild Leader) vs Jinwoo, the fight in the city (from Thomas vs Beast Monarch all the way to SJW killing the Frost Monarch, so many things were changed, skipped, etc), and the final fight between Antares and Jinwoo. It took me some time, but I ended up understanding why they did it. A Light Novel, a manga, and an anime have different tempos, different requirements. In a LN, an epic fight can simply be: "Character A and Character B stared at each other for a few seconds. Out of nowhere, Character A blitzed past Character B before hitting him with a violent kick that sent him flying. The shock of smashing through the wall of the building killed him instantly." In the manga that would depict that scene, drawing that scene would be boring for the readers that haven't already read the source material which is generally the vast majority of the readers. In the manga, the fight that should've been basically 3 moments, 4 if you include the standoff preceding the fight: 1. A and B staring at each other. 2. A showing up next to B. 3. A kicking B. 4. B smashing through the wall. Mangas will usually prolong those fights to make it interesting to the manga readers, e.g. the fight between Thomas and SJW. In the LN, it was basically instant murder. In the Manhwa, the fight looked kinda balanced once Thomas activated his Reinforcement until SJW finally pounded him at the end. In the anime depicting the same scene, things will change again. First of all, in a LN or Manga, when you read what a character is saying, it's as if the action is frozen until you read what comes next. The speeches can be extremely long or extremely short, it doesn't matter. In an anime though, if a character is supposed to talk for a long time while covering a short distance, the scene will look really weird unless you only care about the moment itself and not about the realism of the moment. Example #1: Seven deadly sins, episode 1 when the Holy knight (Twigo I think?) walks from one side of the hole he just cut out towards Meliodas and Elizabeth. The hole is supposed to be roughly 10 steps wide, yet it takes him like 4x as long to just get half way because he's talking a lot. Example #2: Kuroko no Basuke: The Last Game (movie) near the end when Aomine runs to help Kagami. He's running from around the free throw line to the basket which would take anyone maybe 3-4 steps, yet he runs for a solid 10 seconds because again, he has a lot of text to say. So that's the first thing. The second thing is that, again, a short fight or one-cell moment in a manga might look cool, but animes work in fps, not "cells". They have to adapt those moments so that the anime watcher (majority of which doesn't know about other sources of the story) can enjoy the scene or moment. Example #1: Boruto (I forgot which episode) Naruto using Baryon mode against Otsutsuki Isshiki. In the manga, Baryon mode lasted for around 5-6 hits, which is equivalent to maybe 5-10 seconds. In the anime, it lasted a few minutes (and was much more epic imo), but this had consequences. Anime-only watchers started to complain about the ability because it "didn't make sense", "wasn't used before", etc which are somewhat valid questions if you base yourself only on the anime and not the original material. A mode that makes you stronger than a being stronger than gods for 5 minutes sounds incredibly OP until you realize that the real duration of the mode is around 5 *SECONDS* not 5 minutes. Example #2: Literally right after that previous fight ended against Isshiki, Momoshiki stabs Sasuke in the eye seemingly out of nowhere. In the manga, the scene clearly showed that Sasuke didn't even have time to process what was happening before his eye got stabbed. Iirc, it happened in 3 cells: 1. Buildup, we see a shadow coming fast. - 2. Sasuke feels a presence behind him and starts to turn his body. - 3. He gets stabbed in the eye. In the anime, the buildup happened over a few seconds which was fine. When it came time for Sasuke to slowly turn around, it made it look like Sasuke had plenty of time to see the menace and jump out of the way, which again, made aome of the fans mad. They're trading "suddenness" for "epicness". Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not.
Look up Asurascans or Reaper Scans. They specialize in "OP MC / system / isekai / tensei" sorts of series. You can find tons of similar ones to SL that are very good. The beginning after the end Player Who Returned 10,000 Years Later And plenty more :9 happy reading!

To be fair, the artist doing the webcomic was very sick and in fact passed away just as they finished the webcomic. So it could be possible that they wanted to do more, but because they were on a literal timer; they did what they could.

Although the ending felt a bit empty, at the very least the final fight felt like one and the end actually felt like an end. Anyone who read the "Sorcerer King" manhwa to the end knows that THAT ENDING is a hundred times worse than Solo Leveling's. When I read the last chapter, I went back to the final fight and the end to reread it to make sure wat I read was the actual end, that was how bad it was.
The way it ended I was like so is there gonna be another chapter because tf? The time skip in Sorcerer King annoyed me too the ending was very much rushed. But another one that annoyed me with a rushed ending was Love Shuttle(different genre same BS)

When he gets home he came to the conclusion that both consciousness was combined together during both the atk and his moment of death effectively making them both the same person in one body and he starts his climb back to the top. I love the ending to be honest, its beautiful how sung gives up all the glory and doesnt mind not being rewarded for doing what he did, just so everyone has a chance to live
I find this extremely amusing as when I was reading the comments for the LN ending, a lot of people were saying it's "Trash" or "Lazy, but now after the Webtoon ending they prefer this one lol. Instead of asking the Rules about the Cup to reverse the world back, He should have continued the life! Finding meaning in his life and digging deeper into "why Monsters are being programmed to kill humans". This would have been more interesting and fun to watch as Manhawa Because behind every Architect there is a Designer! He should have found who is the creator of all things or something.
He was already told why In ch 163 by ashborn. Rulers brought gates to earth so humans can get powers because the earth was destroyed many times from the battle between the rulers and monarchs
I read the LN, but stopped at 247 because that was supposed to be the end of the original story. All the following chapters were "extras," and most of them seemed to be retellings of events that had taken place already. Now I wonder if I should read more of those extras, though...
The interpretation that the UA-camr had of the web novel of SL ending was incorrect. It was not that earth did not have enough power to support the MC powers, but in fact that no one on earth could match up to his abilities because of the lack of mana on earth, so the power balance was out of whack. Other then that I agree with and enjoyed the video.
I just finished reading the manhwa version of Solo Leveling, and the ending shook me to the bone. Completely bamboozed me. I'm not happy with Sung decision, but that does not make the ending bad, in fact, it is one of the best endings I've ever seen. He gave up his humanity, his relationships, his hard work, he allowed everyone to forget about all he had done for them, just to save them. Imo, Sung is way too selfless for his own good. 1000000000/10 ending right there.
I feel both endings are amazing, it's just that the manwhas wrapped things up earlier and more peaceful. As a person who prefers the peace and quiet route, I think the Manwha's ending is still pretty good on it's own.
I wonder why noone mentioned so far that the here mentioned scene wirth the chairman (and other short stories) have been adapted into the Manhwa, chapter 180 and folowing up to 189 so far, afaik.
im still confused about the manhua ending. How did he end up in the dimensional crack in the first place? Why did the end come so fast? Why did we just skip fighting the other monarchs? It felt like we had another 15-20 chapters left but it was just cut off outta no where. Killed the series for me. I tried to go back and read the first chapter's again but i cant. The ending ruined the whole thing
I read the web novel, but never bothered finishing the Manhua. The moment you brought up a city of whatever, I immediately paused. Either the ending is vastly different, or I’ve just forgotten, either way, I’m finishing the Manhua.
So here's the problem with your analysis - what you described as the light novel's ending was actually the light novel's epilogue/side stories. The endings are almost identical, with the manhwa suggesting a romance between Jae-in and Jin-Woo, while the manhwa ends off with Jin-Woo saving Gun-Hee's life when he was sick. Other than that, everything is identical - what you said was the light novel ending was extra content and not the ending.
In manhwa, They didn't introduce chairman Gu Gunhee as the Brightest Fragment of the Brilliant Light, but one of the vessel of Rulers. In Light Novel actually, Gu Gun Hee is the reincarnation of the same ruler, and not a simply vessel. Out of 8 rulers, Chairman Gu Gun Hee is the sole ruler who incarnates as human to protect the Earth from Monarchs. Little we know about the real life of Chairman Gu Gunhee. Because Solo leveling manhwa artists, I think didn't read much the author works. I have debated my insights to my fellow readers of manhwa, but they don't believed it. Only Light Novel readers know that. And this is Sad about his ending. Because he chose to rest like Ashborn does.

I was skeptical at first (boruto scarred me for life), but the side stories managed to make the sequel and the new protagonist seem interesting and pretty cool.
The point of jinwoo doing what he did was so that nobody had to die in the first place, to completely destroy the need for people to get hurt, so only one person would need to carry the burden

@@radomirt6001 dont get me wrong but the Manhwa ending was dissapointing and they rushed it quite a bit i expected more than that we never saw Jin-woo getting Married with Chae-hin having a Sun his sister getting Married with Jinho
And Jin-woos Son having the Same Power his Father has with a even Higher Potential and seeing them Fighting Monster ect out in space
imo same here (didn't read LN too). He wanted to have no loss from the fight and he did it
As a non LN reader, I loved the ending too ngl

In a LN, an epic fight can simply be:
"Character A and Character B stared at each other for a few seconds. Out of nowhere, Character A blitzed past Character B before hitting him with a violent kick that sent him flying. The shock of smashing through the wall of the building killed him instantly."
In the manga that would depict that scene, drawing that scene would be boring for the readers that haven't already read the source material which is generally the vast majority of the readers. In the manga, the fight that should've been basically 3 moments, 4 if you include the standoff preceding the fight:
