Do you know how to paste to the centre of a document. E.g. I copy artwork from one open window and drop it into the centre of a new open window. Select and copy the object/s Ctrl + 0 then Ctrl V. Was my way forward but... when I check with the Centre tools and align to artboard it nearly always moves. Other wise when you paste something it just seems to throw it in some random location. Any wisdom will help greatly.

Normally I can do a "Nudge Paste" where I use "cntl+nudge" to duplicate the object one nudge worth over. It's the easiest and quickest way to duplicate something because I can then, just nudge it back over into place. The problem is, I can't do this with a text box. Instead it increases or decreases the spacing between letters. Does anyone know of a work around?
