I like your vids, I have a rig based around an HX effects and love delay and verb but struggle not to over egg it! You’re understanding and explaining of dialling them in is really helpful
Antoine, Absolutely love your videos. Trying to get over using the pick and making it comfortable. I tend to gravitate more towards using the fingers. Would you be open to doing some fingerpicking ambient music guide videos?
Wow this is exactly what I’ve been working on for two days! I wrote a song called Storm of ‘61 about our fishing town loosing 17 of our men in a storm in 1961 and I have been trying with the Big Sky to find something that I like as a wash behind it that does it justice. The Detune wasn’t it .. the Ooooo preset was close so I tried adjusting it like you said here. Still not sure I like it .. any suggestions for the Big Sky? Thanks. I love your channel!!
The best one on the BigSky is the Cloud mode for me! You can do super long decay, and if you lower the mix knob like I teach in this lesson, you can get a huge wash and still keep the clarity of your dry signal on top. Try it!
@@AntoineMichaudGuitar yea I will.. question about the big sky.. so I just find any cloud preset ( it has to be a cloud preset to start with?)on there and change it to what I want and then save it?
Hello! I would love if you had a course that was more focused on how to play ambient with more overdrive. Slightly simpler chords, maybe based on triads + expand with scales to spear loops and riffs. Guitarists I like are John McGeoch (Siouxsie Banshees), The Edge (U2), Geordie Walker (Killing Joke), Billy Duffy (The Cult). Like bands like Sisters of Mercy, Fields of the Nephilim, The Misson. 80-goth style.
I like ambient music with distortion and fuzz. I go ambient with those guys! But it does get a little too shoegazey at times... But lowering the mix of the delay even more can help my noisy riffs to become a little clearer.
i'm into shoegazing too. I love Antonie's stuff, but I would love a corse in more rockstyle. I like to fins a style in between ambient and shoegaz/post-punk/goth/kraut. Based in minor triads and a bit överdrive and lot om modulation, reverb and delay.
amazing amazing amazing
could listen hours to that sound
Just in from practice. You’re one of my favs! Thanks for the post. Merci! Bon nuit!
This is a really good review of getting to the right settings. Thanks!

It's my pleasure 😊
Cool tutorial 👍🏻 Now, I must see if I can get a similar sound in iOS Garageband's reverb & delay settings 😃.
Thank you for always doing clear and wonderful lessons 🙏🏻
My pleasure 😊
Thank You. I Max out my mix....will try a lower mix setting

Oh I never would have thought to turn down the mix. Thanks for the helpful video.
