God delivered me from alcoholism, he will deliver you too. Praise the Lord. I prayed so long for deliverence from it. He had mercy and grace on me. Don't give up . Pray,Pray, Pray. I'm so thankful .
I remember watching soap operas (influence) as a little girl,the decanters were so pretty,and people looked to enjoy it so much. I thought it must be the best tasting drink in the world. We are bombarded with evil influences (Satan) from the time we are born. He knows our weaknesses.
It was not through my own strength,that I was delivered,it was God's strength . He has done a mighty work in my life. God's infinite mercy, heard my prayers.
By God's grace through my faith in Jesus's precious blood, I am saved.
Don't give up.

Wow! I’m very surprised at above comment. Scripture is perfect for counseling, etc..., but not all Christians are able to rightly apply to individual situations.
I can’t imagine a worse piece of advice than what is above . “Get beat to a bloody Godly pulp”! Doesn’t sound like God to me.
I’m so sorry for your predicament. Please seek out counseling for guidance. God does not approve of abuse. And so many things need consideration. Children? Life threatening? Emotional oppression and abuse can be equally damaging.
Counseling can help! Christian counseling should be best but even professional Christians fail as they don t study Scripture. Please, keep yourself safe...even if that means leaving immediately.please find support system..people who like..love you!
I certainly hope the pastor of this preaching replies to comments on here.I will be praying for you. Again, please stay safe. Abusive situations can escalate in the mind of the abuser, even while you sleep.

I can only hope that you are indeed young and have not yet seen or had enough life experiences.
My guess is...you have never been hospitalized on life support at the hand of another...who “loves you”. Truly, I praise God for that! And I pray you never will!
No one is to be abused. It is not from God. Even if the husband is also a Christian, if he doesn’t take care of his family, he is to be treated as an infidel.
Common Sense, dictates that, also.
Ex...Be safe! Get help! Get help for children if involved! Call in support people, he’s drunk so wife must leave the house,....etc...
Christian or non Christian, all abusive situations need help!.. not neglect..never ignoring.
Your response of ..”No weapon formed against you.....”....you misused. You were spiritualizing a physical situation.
Staying with the physical. with domestic violence, are you familiar with the weapon of a fist?..a gun?....a bat?...and worse? Even enduring hateful words, being physically controlled, ex..of dangerous situations.
Christian love ....I am using as an example of the love an abused Christian wife has for her husband....is best found in Romans....Let your love be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Proverbs gives the list of six, no seven, things the Lord hates, ..so we can be aligned to God’s way of thinking.
What I’m trying to say, it is not loving for a wife to endure from anyone, even her husband, what the Lord hates.
As secondary concern, how do children know how to properly love as God loves, ...love themselves and love others ..when they learn from witnessing
abuse?...when their young minds think abuse is love?..do they grow up to be the abused?..or the abuser?
Please, speak with a mature Christian women who may better help you understand how to navigate through Godly advice... than I, an old woman, and a stranger on a comment board.
Please consider, until you have a better handle on things, be as Job’s friends...at the beginning.
Marge I was in an abusive relationship. Greatful to be alive. Get out no one should be getting abused. My husband was an alcoholic the more he drank the more abusive he was. Battered wife syndrome is real. I'm still struggling looking over my shoulder praying he never comes back. Please get help before it's to late.

Then that's how he returns. Yeshua is Hebrew, and Jesus is derived from the Greek. It's like calling a car a vehicle. It's the same thing and in this case person.

The name Jesus Christ means (savior,the chosen one)
