- The full country road and Autobahn drive with an all new 2013/2014 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 SDV8 (340hp, 700Nm) and 8-speed transmission. My special thanks go to the Torpedo Garage in Kaiserslautern (www.torpedo-garage.de) for letting me test and enyoy this super-luxurious car. The ride is super comfortable yet stable at the same time while the V8 Diesel produces a lot of torque and gains speed very quickly. The driving position makes you feel like you are in a fortress, very unique compared to Porsche Cayenne or Audi Q7. Especially this VOGUE model has very refined materials and a solid feel everywhere. Although the new Range Rover has lost almost half a tone compared to its predecessor is still feels heavier and more setteled than for example a VW Touareg. I'm wanting to hear your thoughts on this car and make sure to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE!

Thanks for the Feedback. I myself realized that especially this video shows this kind of lack where others run smoother. Do you have any idea how to avoid this? Because the rendered file that I have on my computer is alot better, only after uploading it sometimes shows this habbit. Thanks.

Great video, well done, congrats Automann! I am considering a SDV8. I currently have a 2011 Range Rover Autobiography V8 Supercharged with 510 PS. It drives very well but the new model looks so much better. So, I'm wondering if a SDV8 would be so much better than what I have now. Any experience or advice? 1600 Umdrehungen bei 130 km/h - fantastisch.
Absoluter klasse Wagen, hatte einmal die Gelegenheit in einem zu sitzen, allerdings einem V6 Diesel in HSE-Ausstattung. Beinahe unvorstellbar, dass es noch 2 höhere Ausstattungslinien gibt, war der helle Wahnsinn.
Warst du zufrieden mit dem Motor, tut es der V6 Diesel auch oder sollte man gleich auf den Putz hauen und den Kompressor-V8 nehmen?
I don't usually watch " Sight & Sound " videos but enjoyed this one. Must have been doing a lot of hard driving, 14 - 16 L/100Km.. isn't what I'd call economical.
For a V8 biturbo is quite good petrol version sips 20-25l /100km

The acceleration starts @ 3min 33 sec and reaching 100 km/h @ 3min 41 sec. As i get it right it takes about 8 secs to reach from 0 to 100 km/h.
Also ich denke vom Listenpreis her sollte man eigentlich nur den V6 Diesel oder dann gleich den V8 Kompressor nehmen, aber ich denke dass gerade dieser SDV8 die goldene Mitte ist. Er mehr Drehmoment als der Kompressor V8 und deutlich mehr Punch als der V6 Diesel. Wenn du viel Autobahn fährst oder Anhänger ziehen möchtest dann sollte man wohl den V8 Diesel nehmen. Aus meiner Sicht ist das ein absoluter Cruiser zudem der sportliche Benzi-V8 nicht so gut passt wie ein Diesel.

Good review but, I have one little bit of feedback.. The auto stabilisation makes the video very jumpy & stops it from being nice and smooth.
I would love one of these, the supercharged V8 sounds awesome!
Excuse my ignorance, but I do not understand the difference between SDV8 and TDV8 version, if somebody could explain me, i'll gratify.
SDV8 = Supercharged Diesel V8
TDV8 = Turbo Diesel V8

Actually, there is no TDV8 in the 4th generation Range Rover. The TDV8 on the 3rd gen car has been replaced by the SDV8 for gen 4, it's just slightly more powerful.

Because mpg ,easily achieves 30mpg , a petrol version will struggle 20.

To answer an earlier question, a TDV8 has one turbocharger, the SDV8 has two in order to provide a broader (over a greater rev range) spread of turbo boost.

Ein RR war und ist das Schlimmste Fahrzeug das es gibt, die neuen halten nicht mal mehr 70.000 und haben kapitale Motorschäden Alle RR haben das wieso
Es sind tolle Fahrzeuge, was die sonstige Qualität angeht. Was das Thema Motoren betrifft, hast du aber vollkommen recht. Unser Range Rover Sport hatte nach nur 17.000 Kilometern einen Motorschaden. Mittlerweile gibt es aber 5 Jahre Garantie auf das gesamte Fahrzeug oder 150.000 Kilometer, je nachdem, was zuerst eintritt.

@@eliseipop3058 the bmw diesel was 329ps. And no it's not a bmw engine. LR got rid of those in 2007, the car came in 2012
