This is fantastic. I'm going to use this to update all my research notes footnotes. The $20/year is a minimal expense. I spend more getting a copy of a single death certificate.
Wow, this is awesome! Thank you so much for this information! Citations have always been a battle for me and when I am struggling with them I just stop working on my documentation out of frustration. Very reasonably priced for premium as well.
We appreciate you not having alot of product sales on your channel. But this really helps us follow your teachings. The chore of “proper” citations can be cumbersome. Something we might procrastinate on finishing. But this seems to make it easier. Agree that macros can do the job, but are fragile, and can stop functioning. This platform makes it effortless, and I love that repetitive tasks are simplified. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Just subscribed to the Cite website. I really like how well built this is and I really love supporting the entrepreneurial spirit of a small business. The passion shows. Well done!
Thank you Jenny for this amazing website and thank you Connie for bringing awareness of this tool to those of us that had no idea it existed! Very grateful for the discount code and signed up immediately. 👏🏼
Evidence Explained is not the gold standard. You’re correct that you can spend days searching through it to find how to cite just one source. There’s a new book called “Simple Citations for Genealogical Sources.” It is very easy to use and I now am able to cite everything very easily.
This looks a very helpful resource. I've already started using Zotero because I want citations in a central place where I can update/edit them and also change the output format dynamically. That works so well I can't see myself switching to a copy/paste method but I can learn something from these template formats I'm sure
Zotero is geared mainly towards scientific/medical/academic research. Cite-Builder has a lot more genealogy-specific source types, but if Zotero works for you that's great. At least you ARE citing your sources! 🙂
Here is an interesting question, in regards to the premium feature, how'll you keep from crossing the haplogroups (bloodlines)? for example records indicate two different lines of decent for the same Surname in the same area like Northamptonshire, England. It is very easy to say this person is to that person when in fact he or she is not because of a different bloodline!

Oooh, that's a good point. Thanks for the perspective!

I rarely comment on videos, but this is actually really good! I'm so glad I followed the newsletters and found this gold nugget of information!
What a great site. Sourcing is something I struggle with and don't do well.

The thought honestly crossed my mind that, maybe the cat is ALWAYS there and I just havent noticed before...
I thought I saw a tail one time, but it was fleeting. More Miles!
Most of the time I kick him out of my office when recording. I guess I’ll leave the door open from now on.
@@GenealogyTV One of the UA-cam channels I follow shows the cat at the end of each video. He calls it the cat tax for his viewers.
Just order Evidence Explained. Thank you so much. There is something to be learned from each of your videos
Thanks for supporting the channel. I do appreciate it.

@@ajutooboz I cam from academic experience so that makes sense. I need to look into the more specific citation types for sure
Brilliant! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Thank you, it will be a valuable tool

Cite-Builder is used to build the citation for the source of your information. It doesn't process the information itself.
I LOVE CITE-BUILDER!
I literally came to watch this because of the look on your face in the thumbnail... 😎
LOL
this is amazing is find a grave cite builder on it?
Yes, Cite-Builder has a number of different rules defined for citing headstones/graves - including those found online.
I love your tuxedo kitty.
Me too.
Hi Miles! You are one handsome kitty!
Thank you so much 😀
Hi Miles!
Hi MILES
