The U.S. government policy regarding Taiwan is that, as a rule of thumb, products should be classified as either one level or two levels off when exporting to Taiwan. One-level off is about 10 to 15 years old combat technology.
The U.S. government is adept at modifying the 'interfering edition' to sell it to Taiwan, creating what is referred to as the so-called 'Taiwan low-end edition' by tailoring it accordingly.
The FPS-115 sold to Taiwan the code should be close to this format : "FPS-115-Ver-2012-TW".

Link-22 for Taiwan is ready ? It needs 10 to 12 years to complete the setup, configuration and integration, as indicated by the South Korea deployment information. South Korea's combat technology is ahead of Taiwan by at least 15-20 years, but it still needs 8 to 10 years to complete the Link-22 configuration and setup. If Taiwan can bring up Link-22 successfully , likely after year 2038.
The U.S. government has not confirmed the Bill of Materials for Taiwan's Link-22 requirements, likely waiting for a long time. Japan, Singapore, and Israel, as U.S. government 1st-tier Asia alliances, will not adopt Link-22 since there is no value for their countries, only expensive costs and extensive integration efforts required.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hanwha Systems will begin developing Link-22, tactical data links being introduced by North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) member countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom. Link-22 aims to respond to future network-centric warfare (NCW) and strengthen Korea-U.S. combined operation capabilities.
Hanwha Systems announced on Dec. 20 that it has signed a contract worth about 209.5 billion won with the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) to develop 16 types of combined maritime tactical data link (Link-22) vessels and land systems.
A maritime tactical data link is a digital communication network through which soldiers share and disseminate target information detected by surface ships, submarines and aircraft at sea, underwater and in the air in real time.
Hanwha Systems will develop a data link processor and network control software, which are the core components of Link-22. It will also install and configure allied encryption equipment, modems and communication equipment and integrate them with combat management systems of vessels and land command posts through Link-22.
The company will start the development of Link-22 for the Korean Naval Operation Command, the Korean Fleet Command and the Korean Naval Education & Training Command, escort ships, destroyers, submarines and support ships in 2023. It aims to complete mass production of tactical data links by 2029.
Hanwha Systems supplies all combat management systems (CMSs) for various surface and underwater ships such as high-speed battleships, large amphibious support ships, training ships, destroyers, frigates, and submarines of the Korean Navy and has excellent ship standardization and modular design capabilities.
