Setting up a sacred space in your new home must have felt so comforting! I got the feeling it marked the acceptance of this transitional phase in your life, it welcomed your new beginning, and in a sense planted your flag. Continuing to wish you well on this journey. ❤
It was definitely comforting, you're right! That's a good word to use for it. 💖 Things are settling down now, I think, and I'm really glad I have this space to go to again. Thank you for being here with me!
I had moved into a new place in a new state a little over a year ago. It was close to 6 mos before I could finally unpack and set up my altar area once again. I had missed it so much! And I love just looking at it as I go about my day doing other things. I only have the one altar and do all my work there. Eventually I want to dedicate an area for a self love altar and one for the Goddess Hestia for hearth and home 😁
Coming from 20 years in the Military Lifestyle, with hubby retired in 2022, packing and unpacking. Alot of my witchy stuff were in a small chest for 12 years and from 13 to 17 years add a moving box with the chest. Yes on going through your stuff and seeing what's more important while you unpack. Hope your home becomes special place for you and your family!
It’s a pretty shelf. I’m glad you’re using it. As a Texan, I’ve always thought basements were cool, but I never thought about it being cold. It’s very emotional to watch you set up your altar for some reason. I had to cleanse my altar today due to my icky energy floating all around it as I sat, and tried to just breathe and calm down. I’m glad to see you’re slowly settling in, Megan. I’m excited to see where this journey takes you.
Thank you 💖 Basements are kinda cool lol but they're a bit strange. It does get cold down there! Thank you for watching and being here with me. I'm sorry to hear you had to cleanse your altar but at least now I hope it feels better.
We have one of those! I believe it's a microwave table (at least that's what ours was supposed to be). Our house is 124 years old. The one we're still trying to move into (I'm a 🐌) isn't as old, but it's so perfect for witchy people (hidden rooms we're opening back up, closet with shelves that's now the apothecary). Hoping you like your new dwelling and get to settle in.
oh wow, that sounds like the perfect house! I haven't found any hidden rooms here, just random misc. stuff left in the basement 😅 we're getting settled, mostly. The previous owners didn't take great care of the house (and we kind of had to settle for it?) so there's a lot that needs to be done. Thank you!!
@@RoundtheCauldron We all think it had something to do with fuel rationing (coal heating, etc) during the War. It had been done to other houses in our town during that era.
Megan, just a comment the shelf looks like a microwave cart we had previously it was on castors, it had the same roll top bottom shelf. In case you happened to notice holes in the bottom. I want to say it was probably from about 1980 or so. Good luck in the new space. Hopefully, the previous owners left you some other neat finds, in addition to a lot of work to do. Take Care
Ohh hmm... I don't think I saw any holes on the bottom but that's cool. I didn't know that! There are some other pretty interesting things in my basement 😂 maybe one day I'll do a video about some of them. Thank you for being here!

It's really exhausting moving around like that - I hope you've been able to find stability and don't have to pack and unpack anymore! 💖 Thank you!
