I was going to comment how long those platforms are, but then i saw the train come in and i realised why they need to be that long. For a small station it does seem to be quite a large area. Good video, they could convert that office to a waiting room maybe?
There are two quite open waiting around a third of a way down the platform, but I agree that wouldn't be bad idea, especially after the waiting room repurpose at Westgate-on-sea. Thanks for watching.

All of the platforms from Ramsgate to Swanley take 12 carriages - ideal for morning commuter services!

Over 1,500 travellers a week from this station, if the Javelin (HS1) stopped at the station, would the numbers increase, not by much I suspect.
I think it stops once (or twice) in the rush hour, but I agree it may not increase the footfall too much as it's not very accessable.
