Hey man. You can get a bone nut blank that will be plenty large enough to shape a nut from. I use them for all of my builds and I build up to 8 string with them.
Get the dimarzio pickups especially dimarzio crunch lab(bridge) and dimarzio liquid fire (neck). Those pickups are really nice for prog. I used mine on my jp6 and my ephiphone les paul. thoo.
LOL because of you my wife has a $600 price tag to pay for whenever Christmas or my birthday comes up this year LOL I want the m7 kit so badly I honestly wish they made a bass version of it so I can be the first one to get my hands on it
holy crap $500!!! insane.. its like going to those restaurants where you pay to cook ur own food...crazy.. when i built my guitar i built it from scratch. shape, design everything.. even thoe i got lucky and got a really good deal on my exotic wood it still would of been way way way cheaper...
I know you are endorsed by Seymour Duncan, but I'd go a whole other direction. I'd either do Dimarzio Titans or D-Activarors. I personally have both, and for 7 strings I don't think there's two better sets out there.
Bummer we didn't get to see much of the actual kit, unboxing, assembly, was if sanded to 220+ out of the box? Why did you you choose a standard neck as most (many) 7 strings get the best of both baritone and 25.5 with a multiscale configuration which also compliments the step down tuning, I can't image that they would offer a multiscale option in a 7 string kit....?

Honestly...the kit is so over priced..they are other vendors also with good qualty who sell it for almost half the price...after you select all the options ..its like 800$!!! you get a new guitar with specs for that much!!

I'd say a nazgul or a jupiter paired with a sentient, I feel like pegasus isn't your thing

Building isnt the same as assembling. You are light years away from a real build.
