I think I'll skip the 3rd point. I don't really care about the global launch limited banners( Seele and Jing Yuan). I just want Himeko from standard. I'll be rerolling for her until I get her and if I had to use my jades then gonna use them for her. The only limited char I want after I get Himeko is Kafka. I just hope she's right after the Seele banner
So, I'm a one day player in Genshin and I made a lot of mistakes at the beginning. After the third account everything was perfect. I think you should farm relics when you reach max level to get the golden relics, similar to genshin.
I am bent on resource-saving, so I'm not of a mind to spend fuel...but then again, I'd end up with 200+ condensed resin like in Genshin, so I'd love to hear more about what would be considered good spending practices. Like a reddit user once pointed out: "what are you guys saving so much food and resin up for? genshin impact 2?"

Idea for a video. A tier list for trace. You rate how important each trace is to lvl up. Start with the f2p characters and then all the other for whale. Just an idea 🤷♂️
@@kitsuchii6809 traces are a character's skills, there's no gacha involved in leveling them. eidolons are what you get for getting multiple copies of a character.
Obviously teammaking is going to be an important early video if (when) you have the chanxe. Ideally heavily focused on those with like 1 5* (or none) to build around, leading to “goal teams”.

I feel like once you've played a gotcha game, you start to understand which resources are usually the most important to wait to use. I remember my first got you game, that shit was confusing lol
just remember that the 300 to pick a standard 5 star CAN ONLY BE CLAIMED ONE TIME. once you hit the 300 you wont be able to try and hit 300 again you will just be stuck with 90 pity so if you hit the 300 you might want to save it to see if a new standard 5 star that you want gets added especially f2p players
We also have no idea if any new characters added to Standard would be applicable for the selector, considering it performs much like an S Rank Selector Egg from Honkai Impact 3rd (a set pool you can pick from and doesn't change with standard banner changes)

Unless you actively avoid the limited banner and only roll on standard banner (which is not recommended) your progress after this will be something like 6- rolls per month average (5 Monthly free ticket + assuming you get ticket reward from new character each release) based on Genshin and Honkai pattern So if right now you're standing at 100 marks and let's be extra generous and say we get average 8 normal ticket per month you need 200/8 = 25 months or just over 2 years. In the first place how tf you get 100 rolls in the first place. I already done with most content and I'm just over 70 rolls on my standard banner. Did you waste gems on standard banner or something?

I’m saving up for wanderer rerun in genshin, and the ability to pull on honkai star rail banner has relieved the itch for me to pull in genshin. Plus new game and everybody is learning is always fun.
first priority for me is secure mama Himeko no matter how many re-rolls i will have to do ^_^ and just enjoy the game slowly after words more or less the same pattern i did with Genshin initially it will be a slow progression game rushing will just burn me out fast if i do so

reserve trailblaze power is a godsend. not having access to your phone for whatever reason can be a blessing in disguise as it will give your RTP some time to regen. it regens 1 rtp every 18 minutes, so itll take 30 days to hit the max cap of 2400 rtp
Day 1 Genshin player, everything was overwhelming at first, but as I play more, I understand what to do/no to do, and then over time I get to 36* Spiral Abyss consistently with no fuss. I play Genshin on autopilot mode now. Kinda lazy to repeat the same process for Honkai Star Rail.. idk

For number 1 it’s pretty good tips but just like in genshin i guess it’s fine to waste some cause if you still don’t have 5 star relics and only have 4 stars it’s fine since you’ll still need early game damage to grow to late game stuffs

After watching this video, I feel even less motivated to play Honkai Star Rail. It seems like a lot of repetitive grind and time gating. Which is stuff I didn't like in the early days of Genshin and now here it is again. Every turn based gacha game I play seems to do this, and it takes a lot of the enjoyment out of the game for me. Do I really want to go through it all again? Like a mouse in a treadmill? I digress. --- Anyway, thank you for the informative video SipSipStefen!
It's okay to make mistake. This game is easy and offer big chance to bounce back from your mistake. It's not like Arknights or Girl's Frontline which f-ed you so bad if you messed up.
Simplifying, there are two "character" warps. They have the same soft (~75) and hard (90) pity system --But they have separate pity counts(!) One of them has all the 4 stars and all the STANDARD 5 star characters. It is completely random what you get with equal odds. The other has 3 specific and known 4 stars which have massively boosted rates (but you still have a chance to get any 4 star cause its just probability). This makes it a lot easier to get multiple copies for the up-to 6 "Eidolons" if you really like a 4 star on the warp and want them to have maximum buffs. MORE IMPORTANTLY: it also has a specific Non-Standard-Warp 5-star that you have a 50% chance of getting, and if you lose the 50-50 odds then you get one of the standard 5 stars same as the standard warp. That 5 star is then unobtainable until its next limited warp re-run in many months time. None of the standard 5 stars are time limited. Also; this calculation works because if you don't manage to pull enough to get a 5 star character on the limited time warp before it ends all the accumulated pity is transferred to the next time-limited character. Since the pity doesn't just vanish there is no downside really. Conclusion; you "can" spend your Jade on either warp but you shouldn't. You'll be getting 5 stars either way at the same frequency. But the point is that if you spend the Jade on Standard Warp tickets you are limiting your options and shutting yourself out of any New 5 stars which Hoyoverse is pushing. Whereas buying the limited warps gives you access to the limited new 5 star (and a 50% likelihood of who you are going to get) while still guaranteeing you a random one of the standard 5 stars in the other 50% likelihood each time. This difference in value is shown in the shop. A "Star Rail Special Pass" can be exchanged for much better stuff with less of them than the standard warp "Star Rail Pass". You'll also notice that only a tiny handful of the special passes are given to you while playing. You will receive several orders of magnitudes more of the standard passes than the special ones. Note; it "could" be worth it to buy a few standard passes in niche situations. Maybe you have no pity in the limited warp but already into soft pity with the standard banner and you desperately need/want another 5 star to enlarge your roster. But outside of being near the goal and being impatient there truly isn't much point.

As someone who played and loved Genshin early on but quit due to lack of meaningful end game content (nothing to do after story + clearing spiral abyss, huge lack of co-op/multiplayer features can't even do story co-op, no leaderboard rankings pve or pvp, no new end game content outside of limited time events. ect.) Is Honkai Star Rail looking to be a repeat of Genshins flaws with nothing of note being added other than new 'waifus' every month but nothing to actually work towards?

save them and once u can grind.. keep grinding using them to get like easy max characters (artifacts)
The cap for condensed resin is 5 so idk how in hell you got 200+(ik you're talking about fragile resin, but just wanted to joke about it)

For number 1 it’s pretty good tips but just like in genshin i guess it’s fine to waste some cause if you still don’t have 5 star relics and only have 4 stars it’s fine since you’ll still need early game damage to grow to late game stuffs

For me Genshin dose not work on my tiny phone but this game seems like it would also the reason I quit Genshin is bc it was not just like a pick up and play I quit when I was not that far in and pre Ridan fight

was good that no one knew anything about genshin it made it better. sometimes the strongest characters are the free ones. best to find out yourself the best teams and comps bc if you search the meta it can ruin the experience. shame we know how mihoyo are and i hope its not the same as genshins endgame bc there needs to be more contents at the game

After watching this video, I feel even less motivated to play Honkai Star Rail. It seems like a lot of repetitive grind and time gating. Which is stuff I didn't like in the early days of Genshin and now here it is again. Every turn based gacha game I play seems to do this, and it takes a lot of the enjoyment out of the game for me. Do I really want to go through it all again? Like a mouse in a treadmill? I digress.

It's okay to make mistake. This game is easy and offer big chance to bounce back from your mistake. It's not like Arknights or Girl's Frontline which f-ed you so bad if you messed up.
I'm new to this. Just to clarify, don't use jade on the 50/50 warp?
Simplifying, there are two "character" warps. They have the same soft (~75) and hard (90) pity system --But they have separate pity counts(!)
One of them has all the 4 stars and all the STANDARD 5 star characters. It is completely random what you get with equal odds.
The other has 3 specific and known 4 stars which have massively boosted rates (but you still have a chance to get any 4 star cause its just probability). This makes it a lot easier to get multiple copies for the up-to 6 "Eidolons" if you really like a 4 star on the warp and want them to have maximum buffs. MORE IMPORTANTLY: it also has a specific Non-Standard-Warp 5-star that you have a 50% chance of getting, and if you lose the 50-50 odds then you get one of the standard 5 stars same as the standard warp. That 5 star is then unobtainable until its next limited warp re-run in many months time. None of the standard 5 stars are time limited.
Also; this calculation works because if you don't manage to pull enough to get a 5 star character on the limited time warp before it ends all the accumulated pity is transferred to the next time-limited character. Since the pity doesn't just vanish there is no downside really.
Conclusion; you "can" spend your Jade on either warp but you shouldn't. You'll be getting 5 stars either way at the same frequency. But the point is that if you spend the Jade on Standard Warp tickets you are limiting your options and shutting yourself out of any New 5 stars which Hoyoverse is pushing. Whereas buying the limited warps gives you access to the limited new 5 star (and a 50% likelihood of who you are going to get) while still guaranteeing you a random one of the standard 5 stars in the other 50% likelihood each time.
This difference in value is shown in the shop. A "Star Rail Special Pass" can be exchanged for much better stuff with less of them than the standard warp "Star Rail Pass". You'll also notice that only a tiny handful of the special passes are given to you while playing. You will receive several orders of magnitudes more of the standard passes than the special ones.
Note; it "could" be worth it to buy a few standard passes in niche situations. Maybe you have no pity in the limited warp but already into soft pity with the standard banner and you desperately need/want another 5 star to enlarge your roster. But outside of being near the goal and being impatient there truly isn't much point.

2. The pity system is same like genshin but for the standard banner u can choose the 5 star character u like after first time of 50 pulls

As someone who played and loved Genshin early on but quit due to lack of meaningful end game content (nothing to do after story + clearing spiral abyss, huge lack of co-op/multiplayer features can't even do story co-op, no leaderboard rankings pve or pvp, no new end game content outside of limited time events. ect.)
