  • Whew! We finally made it to the last part of my stationery haul from Japan. What a journey we've had. I've laughed, you've cried, and hopefully it's been worth it. Special thanks to Japan for having the best stationery I've ever seen and selling be some very fancy fountain pens are bargain basements prices.

This series has been mental. Everything I'm seeing I want! 😆Oh dear. I really do need to plan me a trip to Japan. I ordered my Pilot Custom 823 to me in the UK from Japan and even with import costs here (stupid expense) it was still cheaper than getting one here. That's an epic collection of pens and all your other stuff. Enjoy it all 😄 but that Namiki Emperor 🤩fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

If you buy enough pens, the trip pays for itself! :)

Such a good haul! 823! KoP! An Emperor (Good gift, Panos!)! Inks! A great present for Turtle Mom! I hope you love the Maruzen inks. Can't wait to see what that yellowish one looks like.

The yellow went home with turtle mom, so she'll have to show you. :P

Thank you so much for this excellent haul video! Kakimori only sells pigment inks, which, unlike dye-based inks, are waterproof. Once they dry on the page they will not run if they get wet. They're also great for creating line and wash drawings (if that's your jam).

ooo thanks for the info! I like the idea of using a wash in drawings. Must investigate!

One of my best friends is now in Japan: Tokyo, Osaka and Nagasaki. He found the new green Safari with kanji nib for me at Itoya, but the green 'colors by Lamy' notebooks by Kokuyo and Daiso were sold out. Don't really want to trouble him further, so I'm glad to see this new haul episode!

I got mine at Loft, if he happens to stop by one of those. They have lots of fun things, not just stationery (but also great stationery). Still, if I were picking between the two, I'd get the field green safari over the Colors by Lamy thing :)

@@SugarTurtleStudio Thanks, I will message him about Loft. Oh btw, just read on the Maruzen Nihombashi website of their Tokyo shop that the ink bottle labels are being redesigned, so that may explain the limited number of bottles available.
