Great that the Coros armband is working for you so far, Chloe! I got my first HRM over 20 years ago and I've used different brands and styles. None of them have worked flawlessly but they were all useful to me and it seems like the technology keeps improving. I like Dr. Stephen Seiler's idea of the "Holy Trinity" of training: tracking external work, internal stress, and perception. Any one can be off on a given day, but if I know distance and pace, heart rate, and how I felt doing it, I can check one against the others. I hope it serves you well and I'm sure Garmin understands.😄

Oh that's a great concept! I think it will be useful to have more accurate HR data than what my watch reads, just another tool in the toolkit to help me optimise my training (and ensure I don't run my easy runs too fast haha)

This is great. I bought a Coros watch last month and I love it. But the wrist based HR is poor. I wear a chest strap but this armband looks great.

I've worn it for every run since getting it and I completely forget that it's around my arm! When I need a new watch I'll definitely look at what Coros has to offer

I use this band with my Apple Watch and I love it. Chest straps would cause chafing for me so this was a much better solution

It doesn’t work with my Garmin Forerunner 45S, I click on add and my garmin doesn’t detect it while it is on my arm, I don’t understand 😅

Oh no! I think there is a list of Garmin devices that are compatible, maybe yours isn't unfortunately!

@@ChloeHamardYeah I contacted them and they said mine was ANT+ technology but it needed bluetooth, I thought mine had bluetooth, anyway it happens

How do you get the data from the monitor if you haven’t got a Coros watch?

Hi, any paired watch will read the data, it doesn't need to be a Coros

Once you pair an external monitor your can't see your watch HR anymore, but comparing to previous runs at similar pace, the Coros reading seemed more accurate, as in my HR reflected my perceived level of effort and it was less jumpy
