    Hi! Are you happy with the car? I have been in the market for one, saying goodbye to my W203 and was wondering what was your experience with this model?
    Also, after a service, can you reset the service interval manually from the car? Or do you need a diagnosis tool to do it?

      I’m not really satisfied with the car. I had a W212 before, much more refined car, that goes for engine, transmission and overall experience with the car. The W205 is made too cheap. Especially the transmission annoys me. Shift too early and sometimes too late. It’s hard to explain, but in the w212 you never noticed the transmission. That said the w205 is faster and the steering is a breeze. Would I recommend it? Not really, I would go for the E class instead, it’s just better build, more refined and…a class above!
      The service reset is possible in the car without any tester or computer. Just google service reset on a w205.

      @@carscloseup Thank you for such a detailed overview :D will consider your feedback. On the other note, how do you feel this OM654 comparing to the OM651? Should I keep myself to the 2.2, or is the 2.0 an ok'ish alternative?

      @@alpha-ne4fq You’re welcome! ☺️ The OM654 is more modern, efficient and has more power, but the OM651 is a better engine. It depends on what your needs are; A newer car/engine will statistically be more reliable than an older (OM651), but if it’s only occasionally driving I would stick to the older. On the other hand, if it’s for daily driving fx. to work I would go for the OM654.

    Can you write exact oil capacity, and is the oil capacity equal for 220d and 200d with same om 654.920 engine? Thanks.

    • @carscloseup
      @carscloseup  4 місяці тому +1

      The exact oil capacity varies. On my 220d it’s around 6.5 liter. On a 200d it should be the same. I started by adding 6 liters, it was enough to bring it just above minimum, the I added 0.5 liter and now it’s just below max.

    Hi have you experienced that the engine oil level dropped to min level once after replaced the fuel filter? No matter i did refilled 200ml of engine oil and the oil level persistently in min level. There is no dropping of oil level before the replacement of the fuel filter.
    Do you have any idea over what kind of issue is that?
    Thanks

      @@klkl5695 sorry I have no experience in that. Sounds really strange, though none of it are related. Remember to check the oil level while driving. Sounds crazy, but the level reading are the highest when driving with a hot engine

      It is really strange as even though I had driven over an hour on highway l, the engine oil level still in the min level. So after I refilled the 200ml engine oil, I don’t know what to do as I shouldn’t be keep refilling the engine oil.

      @@klkl5695 I don’t think you should refill. Does it ask for oil? Does it say low oil level? No matter what I would go to a shop to have it checked.

      Thank you sir thats very helpful, do you know how often the timing chain musst be change? And what about the gear oil by 9g tronic?

    • @carscloseup
      @carscloseup  3 місяці тому +2

      @@xangadixxxx6405 The timing chain shouldn't be changed unless it starts making noise. The noise will be at cold start and its a nasty clattering sound for a few seconds. The 9G-Tronic should have service every 100000 km. I had mine serviced recently, but I didn't do it myself, because I have no possibility to flush the transmission. The job was done at a Mercedes dealer, a little more expensive than your regular mechanic/shop, but worth it. Price was around 600 Euros.
