That's, a very desirable unit . Drop top ,4spd . She's in need of the right guy for the make over . Think she found him !👌.. look forward to seeing progress on her .
Yeah, that's definitely worth doing. Have you ever tried that Eastwood interior frame coating? You blow out the frame with compressed air and then this stuff comes in a can with a long tube and sprays in multidirections to kill rust on the inside of the frame if there is any.
I've seen that, we'll see how things look when it's opened up. Before that product from Eastwood I used to put paint in a weed sprayer and paint the inside of frames with it...kind of crude bur effective
I was mistaken it appears to have a horn on both sides. It will be a neat driver. A 428 with a roller cam, CJ heads and an Rpm Air Gap would make it a driver. I believe there is an adapter for a T-56 6 speed manual. There is a guy on here who did a 700 hp 427 with a T-56 that had the first 4 dog ringed so you could shift without the clutch and 5-6 with the clutch, both OD. It is a 64 Galaxie grey and dressed out as a road racer. I think it was Auto Topia. A good 428 CJ 6 speed would be a neat driver.
That is one of my dream cars. Why did someone fall to intervene before it got so out of hand? Did the SCJ 428 come with it? I may be mistaken but it appears that it had the oil cooler in place of the horn. I s it what it appears to you?

G'day Dave,
Look forward to seeing this beauty come back to life.
You just know it is in the right hands with the right person.
Cheers

Definitely worthy of restoration. Very easy compared to restoring a Galaxie.
Any Shelby Mustang should be saved. And you are the right man to do it!

It will be interesting to see how you support the body when the floor structure is R&R'd
I've always used 4x4 wood blocks with slots cut into them to drop the rocker lip into on all 4 corners.

Piece of cake. It's a car, not a spaceship. Fix it or sell it to me.
It might be a spaceship🤔lol...thanks for watching
