study from 2017 to 2023 done fi the night must pass thank you!
if you have time to gloss over some more, it could help!
I thought 15:39 was “c” because of the interior angle “30 degrees”
Number 57, question at 15:27
AB = hypotenuse = 40m
AC = adjacent side to angle A
BC = opposite side to angle A
cos A = adjacent / hypotenuse = AC / 40m
AC = 40 m times cos 30 degrees
but notice that is not a choice
you could use the cofunctions things mentioned in the video
or proceed like this:
so lets try angle B
AB = hypotenuse = 40m
AC = side opposite to angle B
BC = side adjacent to angle B
sine B = opposite / hypotenuse = AC / AB = AC / 40m
AC = 40 m sine B
but angle B measures 180 degrees - 90 degrees - 30 degrees = 60 degrees
so AC = 40m sine 60 degrees
Choice A

@@TwixMix you're welcome~
did you notice
in meters,
at first we calculated AC = 40 cos 30°
then we calculated AC = 40 sin 60°
which would have to mean that cos 30° = sin 60°
the co- in co-functions means complementary
and we see that 30° + 60° = 90°
so cos x° = sin (90° - x°)
also sin y° = cos (90° - y°)

Last time I check I taught question 60 was D or a switch dem switch it up?
dem switch it up mn
hey, check the comment with @JulieGeorge below
she also thought it was choice D, but I explain why it isn't there
in short, angle x isn't the repeated base angle
so you have something like x + y + y = 180
where angle R and angle Q correspond to the y measures
the base angles are opposite the congruent sides of the triangle
GL today!
I thought #14 was A.18.00
10% of 1800 means we just cross off one 0 at the end of the listed price
so it would be $180 for the discount
1% of 1800 means we would cross off two 0s at the end of the listed price
so that would be $18
1% is 1/100, so that's why we cross off 2 zeroes
but a 1% sale isn't much is it?!
10% would be more attractive to customers
10% is 0.1, so 10% of 1800 is 0.1 x 1800 = 180
1% is 0.01, so 1% of 1800 is 0.01 x 1800= 18
Why is it 4 hrs at 10:24 ?
lets say 23 : 00 h is 11 pm tonight
then 03 : 00 h is 3 am tomorrow
11 pm to midnight is +1 hour
midnight to 1 am is +1 hour
1 am to 2 am is +1 hour
2 am to 3 am is +1 hour
so altogether 4 hours has passed from the given times
@@csec-maths-chem-paper1s ooh ty!
Heyy, 60 is D
If 2 sides are equal and a triangle equals 180° (since its 2 equal sides and the value is unknown its x+x or 2x) so,
2x +y = 180
Therefore y= 180-2x
lets pretend x is 100 degrees, you're telling me there is a triangle with negative 20 degrees?
only one angle of the described triangle will have a measure of x degrees
it would be
x + y + y = 180
x + 2y = 180
2y = 180 - x
we're trying to find the y angles
so y = half of (180 - x)
angle R and angle Q measure y degrees
@@csec-maths-chem-paper1s in a isosceles triangle one of the equal sides cannot be 100° as that therefore means that you'll need to add it twice which will lead to 200° which is impossible sir/ma'am
the base angles are opposite the congruent sides
which are the two line segments meeting at vertex P forming angle x
For number 22, why wouldn't the denominator be squared? Why is it 'B' and not 'C'?
factor out the 1/x and call that X
so we now have X times (one half + one third)
there's no way x could be squared from this, even after we added the fractions
when adding fractions
we establish a common denominator
once we get that, then we just add numerator terms and put that over the common denominator
so (1/x)(1/2 + 1/3)
the common denominator is 6
which means you multiply the half part by 3 over 3
and you multiply the third part by 2 over 2
and so now we have (1/x)(3/6 + 2/6) = (1/x)(5/6)
and when we multiply fractions
we just multiply numerators to get 1 times 5, which is 5
and multiply denominators to get x times 6, which is 6x
so altogether we have 5 over 6x, final answer~
Do they repeat questions for maths multiple choice ???
yes, big time
just look at the questions from year to year
you'll see tons of repeating questions~
