In todays video we breakdown and discuss the rangers squad looking at who we want and who we think will be here next season and who needs to be moved on if we are to turn our side into league champions and stop the bottle from crashing every single year, how many out of 25 should be here next season? lets have a look and discuss who should stay and who should go this summer at rangers..this is our thoughts on the rangers squad..whats yours?

Same. I can't take another season with the same FN losers. It is making my blood boil. I grew up with great Rangers teams and this lot are a shadow of that. We need new blood, new faces, and some hope to bring everyone on board. Not the same tired old losers. The stress of being as bad as this is making me feel depressed. The losing I don't like, but I can take it of we are goi g out being a good rival and giving our all, but year after year, we are losing in the same way and it needs to FN change. I would rather back the ups and downs of a youth side in progress under Clement in the league with a few experienced guys sprinkled on and not win anything for 2 to 3 years, but see progress year on year and then start winning than back another PR rebuild with loans and sicknotes/projects with a poor injury record.

Ridvan Yilmaz being only 23 years of age is a must keep for this up and coming new season for sure.
He'll be worth a good bit more cash if sold next season imo and imo a smashing young WB who could easilly be played as a wide left mid. With a cracking pre-season the wee fella will BE a lot stronger and will not then pick-up silly injuries neither again, imo. I reckon he himself has ALWAYS but always been trying TOO Hard to impress whenever he was ever getting starts.

He was injury prone before he signed. He has continued to be injury prone. If those at the club have anything between their ears they will sell back to Turkey, wipe their face with the deal level and put a sell on clause in to make something in future.

@@cjnovo992I honestly don't know why you don't put Sterling at RB for the final. Tav is in woeful form. Any other player in any other position would be dropped in current form. His age and lack of pace and defensive ability have caught up with him.
Yes, Tav and Goldson have been at the club for years but for me they'll always be associated with underachievement and a lack of trophies. Time to move them on.

Nobody wanted Goldson when he was available on a free, which is why he re-signed with us at the last minute. Now he's over 30, on 37k a week and will be coming off a knee injury. Dont see anybody taking him.

Every single manager or player of legend status has had to leave at some point from 1872 onwards. I mean REAL genuine legends. Not the imposters of today. I mean when Graeme Souness decided to leave, who on earth could fill his shoes & continue on that resurgence under his management...?? Well we all know who filled those shoes!
How on earth were we ever gonna replace the greatest goalscorer in Rangers history, Ally McCoist!..... where would the goals cone from... well Rod Wallace, Michael Mols & Billy Dodds came in and we won the treble that very next season.
Talking if that, how could we ever cope with all those 9iar legends leaving the club... including the captain who's boots tavernier couldn't lace, Richard Gough... how could be cope with that leadership gone. Well big Amoruso flourished that next season aswell as Barry Ferguson the future captain stepped up to the plate.
Hoe on earth could be cope without the genius of Brian Laudrup & Gazza.... well we win the treble & the double the following 2 seasons.
If you stand still you only stagnate and we are not even talking about anywhere near those levels. Only good can possibly come from moving on into a genuine new era from the same old dross who have had their chances and THEN SOME.

Nothing will change unless the old guard is gone and that’s the first step CJ. Doesn’t matter who we bring in, if any of them are still here next season it will be the same story and we all know it. Just hope Phil is brave enough to cut ties and move these boys on who are well passed it..

@@Symbiont_GamingYilmaz would go for me, he isn't available for large chunks of a season, thats no use. Sell him back to Turkey. Sima was an injury prone player before he arrived. That has continued again no point in that for the same reasons. Butland would be new captain next season for me. Cortes has no prior injury history. I would extend his loan to January to be sure.

If it was Clement's way then very few would still be there IMO. Butland, Sterling and Diomande. No other players have looked irreplaceable. Every player is up for sale and there needs to be a paradigm shift. Same as Gerrard, Clement needs a fresh start with the players at his disposable.

For me - no new deals for those out of contract. Obligated to buy Diomande, but unless you can extend Cortez's loan spell and get Sima on reasonable fee I ain't keeping any loan player. Butland and Sterling keep, and only sell for mega money. Actively look to sell/offload Lammers, Tav, Goldson and couple others. The rest I'm open to selling for any reasonable fee
Sima had a poor injury history before he came here. I wouldn't sign him. He is a wage vampire in waiting. Diomande will come good with better players around him and behind him next season. The worst part of the team is a actually our backline and wingers, who don't score or assist enough. We also need a pacey striker amd to add to our firepower. Celtic always have 3 or 4 good strikers for rotation. We need to do better there than just resting on one for most of any season. I agree on Cortes he isn't injury prone, based on his record bit I would extend until January to be sure. Excellent player though.

Who does start in the Cup final given the injury list? Balogun and Souttar might both miss out so we're struggling at the back to start with. Looks like Tav, Yilmaz,King and Davies. We need Sterling in central midfield probably with Diamonde. Then it's likely to be Silva,Cantwell, McCausland and Dressers. For me that sides short in terms of competing. Sterling could play centre back but Lunny would probably have to start in midfield.

We can talk until the cows come home but the bottom line is there are only 4 or 5 who are good enough to take us forward and the rest are pish. We need at least 4 new quality signings, but where is the money coming from?.
If the board think they can patch us off with weak, sickly loaners from the English Championship, they can think again. We need big, fast and aggressive.
At the end of the day we will just need to watch whoever the board/PC sanctions on the park next season, lol, fans have never nor will they ever have a say on who we sign or don't sign.
Exactly mate. I know fully we don't have Murray money to spend mega bucks. However, when you compare our position now, to Celtic in those days with a big support being our rivals, during our Murray years they were able to spend £3 to £5 million on a player and they would normally buy a few along with a couple of cheaper guys. Every season. We, should comfortably with the size of this club and money we generate be able to do that in comparable way today in the top flight. If we are shrewd with what we do spend we can win titles etc. The problem is in the running. If we go into next season full of loans and project buys with poor injury history before they arrive, like we have been doing we are in for another FN groundhog day in loserville at the end of the season. Its not just losing, it's the way we are losing, with the same bottlers that down tools and FN up in the same way year after year. It is rotten.

It’s time to close a chapter and move on. If Goldson & Tav are here next season, it’s already a write off. Tav especially. It’s been 9 years man, we can find someone else to take the penalties & set pieces. If we’re serious about change, those two are the first gone who aren’t already out of contract.

The problem with that logic is how do we fund such a rebuild … guys like souttar , tav , Lawrence , Matondo and cantwell will all most likely be a part of rangers squad next year .. even dessers will probably stay around as well … I’d like to see Cortes and sima get a full injury free season … as for silva I’ll give him a lift wherever he wants , the sad part is Fabio Silva will probably end up a solid player for a solid team in a top European league … like I wouldn’t be surprised if Fabio silva ended up a quality player at a Napoli , or Villarreal … something like that , but he doesn’t have the mentality to exist in Glasgows melting pot …

Manager has said the players need a solid pre-season. The injuries are also a result of the way Clement likes to play.

No wrong. The injuries date back to our useless leadership in the board signing off on injury prone players with poor injury records before they signed for us. They are not doing their due diligence and they should now view a poor injury record as a red flag to stay away.
Appreciate the time you take to make these videos mate. Agree with the majority and I think when the dust settles people will truly appreciate what Goldson and Tavernier have done throughout their Rangers careers. I think we see now, with Barasic, someone who has truly stayed too long but people are being far too toxic without acknowledging how he played in his ‘Rangers prime’. I think you’ll see if Tav and Goldson are truly ‘done’ next season as I can’t see them leaving just yet. You’ll never find another Right back that gives you anywhere near the number Tav has over the years without spending a boatload of cash that we don’t have.
P.S. I’d also like to see Tav pushed further up at the start of the season.

I’d like more competition in midfield … and I’d like to see a system where we rotate between sima and Cortes / mcausland and matondo .. on the wings … bring in another striker to play second fiddle or even challenge Danilo to the starting place … dessers can score 20 all he wants .. the goals he’s scored have been less important than the ones he missed

Check online Simas injury history. He is nondoffrrent with injury to Ridvan. Ridvan and Sima were injury prone before they signed, we should not sign Sima. No use in guys that can only play part of a season regularly. We have had enough wage thief's.

Ridvan I think is the best all round left back we have had since Arthur Newman CJ. He makes things happen and he's total class. I would punt Goldson while we can, you said it yourself, certain players like Morelos, Kent and Barasic stayed too long. I'd punt Tav too from a defensive perspective too. Dessers can't stay CJ he is taking the place of a true finisher.
His defensive tracking is dodgy, but does carry the ball out well.
He's been at rangers 2 seasons and had 7 injuries man just one of them you need to cash in on and get some reliability

Hes been available for more games than Sima, who you said in the video you want Rangers to sign. Sima has missed more games in his career so far through injury than Ridvan has. Sima will also miss up to a month every season when he trots off to the AFCON.

Cantwell. From a Celtic fan. Don't let all the critics get to you. Focus on your football career. You invited it but don't let the aftermath depress you. You are a good player. Focus man.
I would love if you did a video evaluating where we are from a fans perspective and questioning and debating whether we have returned to our pre 2012 SPFL levels. Also what would you do, to restore us to our true level as a club in terms of quality? I would like to know what you would change in the way the club is run if you could and do you think we need investment. We are always the real rangers in terms of history but will we ever get back to being the real rangers on the pitch? Thats the sort of questions I would like you to explore.
Absolutely no way we should keep Lundstram. I'd rather keep Tav or Goldson if we had to choose between those guys (even though we should prob get rid of them all). That game vs Celtic should be the last one for the club, and he's proved he doesn't have the bottle nor the legs to play in these matches and end on the winning side.
Tavernier needs competition at the very least. He adds a whole lot to our attack, but not enough if terms of defence. It can't go on like this if we want to win trophies consistantly.
Squad needs massive overhaul in the summer, Football Manager style. I'm excited for it. Not many I would keep...

I would try and cash in on Dessers though if possible. Should be able to get some money for him after the goals he's scored this season but his value will only go down with the age he's at.

Saw reports earlier today that Rangers are close to doing a deal with Motherwell and former Rangers goalie Liam Kelly btw. How true? Well who know's this early before the window opens. An interesting one though.
Get everybody moved on, "EVERYONE" and get as much money in as possible and start from scratch.
In Koppen & Clement, I trust to build an athletic and talented team to fight for the title next season. We'll need as much money in as possible to build that team and I'm sure we'll be wise enough to get some cheap talent through the door like Dujon. We'll need to be great in the free market too.
CJ, if tav and goldson are still here at the start of the season, then the league is already lost. Clement said the end of a cycle. It better be the usual suspects who control that dressing room, the losers that end the cycle by leaving. Tav was horrific when the pressure was on, especially when he was sleeping first minute against them at ibrox.
If they are here next season then Clement is not the man for me. Only an idiot who wants to do career suicide on the same hill as Gio and Beale would keep them.
Listening to the talk of all the injuries it does make me think how poor was the preseason training camp last summer. Half the squad looked exhausted before we even kicked a ball last summer. and the other half seems to have been injured for large periods this season.
i think a raskin, diomande and cantwell midfield 3 with cantwell as a 10 is mare than gid enough. some reinforcements needed aye but i think those 3 are our only glimmers of hope.
Would still be a very weak midfield unless they all put a stone or two muscle on during pre-season/summer like they done with Katic before stupidly moving the tank of a man on.

Jack's top notch, I'd hate to lose him. But realistically mate, if we got enough to buy 3 quality players from selling him, you have to look at it
The problem we’ve had is that this club just doesnt have the stomach to get rid of all the big players who got us 55 and to the UEL Final, even though they shouldn’t be here any longer, and because of that, we’ve struggled to evolve as a team, We need to move on from that stage, as its well in the past
What about Alex Lowry? 2 seasons ago I thought they'd build the team around him. I hear frequently, without any proof, that he has a bad attitude. Well, if they're not going to play him, get rid of him. 11 injuries in our last game and he didn't even get on as sub. I'd be offski if it was me.

Butland and Sterling should be handcuffed to the blue gates for the summer. McCausland, Cortes, Sima and maybe Yilmaz could be in the mix. Have not seen enough of Danilo but I suspect he won't cut it. A new Captain is an absolute must along with some steel in central defense and midfield. If JT is named skipper again I will be looking for a strong rope and a tall tree. Big Phil has some job on his mitts.

Right im no sure if i can do keep ajd sale but for me my must keeps are butland (not needing to be said out best player) yilmaz (our most consistent player when fit and id rather keep him then replace him with someone worse and don't tjink its worth the 5 mill we woyld get if lucky then pay 2-3 mill for a decent fb anyway so dont tgink its worth it) soutter or goldson ( i prefer goldson but soutter is scottish and is better for eroupe ) cantwell (don't you dare sell him. I can honestly say I don’t really care who leaves apart from butland (who I think will get sold) and Sterling who is also one of our biggest assets but hopefully he stays.
My biggest apprehension for next season is if we do sign some really good young prospects and there out on the pitch and they look up and see who's meant to be the example of the rangers way.
