Picked up a pair of the Alta Mesa 500; so far so good after 30 miles. I’m a heavy runner at 220lbs and training for 1st ultra in June; currently alternating between NB 1080 for road miles and TNF Alta Mesa 500 for road to trail. I especially like having more big toe room and better shape on the outside for little toe(s); also, the 500 feels very stable. Not certain if they call it a stability shoe, yet i’m thinking it’ll be a good shoe for the trail after the fatigue kicks in…
good stuff.., have fun doing that ultra. you going 50K, or longer. I have only done 1 ultra in 2022, but doing an 11 hour ultra in the spring this year.
I purchased TNF Altamesa 500 recently after trying several new shoes from other brands (New Balance, Arcteryx...)... For me this new model from TNF is win-win... Great fit, comfort, design, protection... This is first time when TNF got me... I did not consider their shoes seriously for trail running until the release of this Altamesa 500. Now I am thinking about Altamesa 300 ))
First Like from Spain. Thanks Risa for this information about The North Face 2024. Have a great day.
I use these while trail walking with my dog. Excellent grip and support while being so comfortable. Best trainers they’ve made in years.

Looks good! Does this replace Enduris? Would this critical foam be softer than eva Enduris?
