These dev streams are perfect. I had absolutely 0 interest in these planes just from the aircraft list, but hearing the devs speak on it stopped me from being a curmudgeon. It's great to see so much thought and heart are going into these.
I'm so happy I bought MSFS 2020 on day one. Some bugs were frustrating, but, so are computers so........... It's just amazing to think back to Microsoft FS 1 on my TRS-80 in 1980 and Microsoft FS 1 on my first PC in 1982 and compare them with MSFS2020. I would not have wanted to miss a day. At 74, I thought I could wait to hear MSFS 2024 had a gold pass from the community before buying as really, 2020 is more than good enough for me. I've seen too many UA-cam videos on 2024 and together with this stream, I'm now just busting to go and pre-order and then count the days until release. Thank you all for your passion with MSFS 2024 and your projects - you make my life so, so much more enjoyable with so much to look forward to!
I really appreciate these kind of streams. I would probably miss out on some of the awesome aircraft in the Sim just out of habit of using those that I am familiar with. Some like those I have felt that I can’t fly them so this gives me more confidence that I can fly the aircraft.
you know these guys dont do helicopters. focus a moment on WHAT THEY ARE SHOWING, instead of always mentioning other things. that is completely unrealistic for people claiming and begging for realism and i can be certain you will anyway complain about helicopters on day 1 but at least get the devs right, that should be easy for someone "supposedly" claiming a desire for realism
General question: Will multi monitor support be improved? Homecockits with, for example, three 50 inch TVs are very difficult to set up in FS2020 because important settings for the individual screens/cameras are missing.
You can land in Los Volcanes Natural Park in the Canary Islands, where NASA did (and does) some training for moon and Mars mission related stuff. That's as close as you're going to get in this sim lol. Or try Craters of the Moon National Monument in the US.
I noticed 2-3 points that bug me and raise questions: You can buy your own plane when you have your own company, but; In career mode, can you fly like in freeroam with YOUR plane, instead of just "fast traveling" via the map to another airport to generate "local missions"? Example: In career mode: My main airport is in London. Can I literally leave the HQ without launching a mission first and just take my plane in my hangar and fly between London and Paris freely, and only then change my airport to Paris without paying for ? Another example: I am still in career mode, not in free flight mode of course where all the planes in the game are unlocked: Can I take off my personal plane from my main airport and land it somewhere in the middle of the fields for a stroll in fps mode? All in a career mod once again, just to take advantage of the wear and tear and the additional costs in "Between 2 missions I take my plane for a ride if I damage it I should repair it" mode (A bit like Beam NG or ETS 2 career mode) In the same vein, without selecting a mission via the map, is it possible to fly from my main airport to the location of a "local" mission for example "passenger transport" before selecting it and launching it once there? (Typically Beam NG or ETS 2 to get the mission you have to go there) Or does career mode only work and only under instance? That's a bit of the impression it gives, and it's a shame if that's the case! Afterwards... We don't have the opportunity to have OUR plane so far in the alpha it's always "loaned" planes (once again like ETS2 before buying your truck) BUT. There is no menu box in HQ that suggests "free flight" :/ So... What happens if you want to free fly in career mode? With vehicles purchased outside of "free flight" mode, where everything is unlocked in advance? In short, can I fly freely without starting a mission in career mode? Or can purchased planes only fly in "instance" type missions?
I have the Got Friends version of the Jetson already and it is fun to fly, this looks like it will be just as fun to use as well. So pretty keen to give it a whirl! Is there an option to add the safety bars around the outside of the the rotors? The Joby and Archer look quite interesting to fly as well! Some really fancy flybywire in them. Low level taxi/tourist stuff will be pretty fun in career mode. Dunno about taking them onto Vatsim though, lol... probably get in trouble doing that, but still.
Yeah, though I was surprised by how different it seemed to fly from the Aero 1, which I fly often (it’s my city explorer). It seemed to resemble hover mode on the Aero 1, which I really mostly use for takeoffs and landings. It will be interesting to fly it and see how it actually compares.
Are we going to see integration of live user voice for ATC and or AI voice ATC in an update module. Can this be done with the new intel chips and of hi end GPU's processing this or is it still to new and we will see it in flight sim 2028? Thanks
Consider the HEMS als a carreer mode for these ones. The VTOL aircraft are big enough to have patients. And I as a hardcore Helicopter simmer wil use these ones.
Jetson is insane! Wild! A few years back I was lamenting and gnashing teeth at the lack of innovation in aviation as opposed to the early history where people were trying everything. It's so nice to see it happening again and with high tech automated assistances to simplify aviation.
e-VTOL startups have been bringing demonstrators and simulators to Airventure Oshkosh for almost 10 years now (as well as to other industry shows). I think there's a lot of innovation and R&D stuff that happens behind the scenes that we, as consumers, just don't often see. It's cool that we are seeing this a lot with really small startups though as opposed to the big boys that are much more risk averse and not as agile.
I know it is a little bit silly (maybe this looks like I am some kind of wirdoe), but I fell in love with Jayne's voice, just because of her voice. I didn't heard for a long time such a lovely female voice. I could listen her everyday. :)
focus dude. this is not the 707. claiming realism but not be able to focus your attention makes for very unrealistic pilots. so this platform is good for you because you csn always press the restart button
Marwan, good to see you, very nice new products you are on, awesome. Saving money...lol. But what about my LOVED HONDA HJET? Will it be updated or works perfect on fs2024? Best regards!
Has MSFS2024 resolved the issue where helicopters appear as airplanes to online players? This significantly disrupts immersion and needs to be addressed. It is notable that no one has addressed in this version of MSFS.
Interesting to see where technology is taking aviation in these cases. Personally I don’t think they would be much fun to fly. These types of fly by wire advancements don’t translate very well into flight sims in my opinion. The flight models are too basic. You could have just as much fun going into the showcase camera view and slewing around.
what you want does not exist. and this platform should never be messured against the real thing. that is a myth and we all know that no flightsim really caputures realsim 100% but that is not why we use FS. We use it to get an end to end feeling for what FS probably feels like......that should be enought. seeing that all of us sit in front of a statis screen on a static chair we are in 2024 and most simmers still doesn't get this
The Tech Alpha runs better on my machine than 2020 does. I doubt there are any serious performance issues if they run just fine on 2020. It sounds like they just didn't think of having them do the aircraft showcases on 2024 for whatever reason but will be changing that for the next dev sessions.
You're kidding us with the exorbitant system requirements! It is inadmissible to put i7 processor at minimum requirements! You should have left it up to us how the terrain was loaded online or static, not forced it to be online, increasing the graphical requirements. You were despicable in what you did!
you dont get it , do you ???? tech changes and times too. every single other software addon grows with time and need more pc power you can always use the outdated older platforms that suits older hardware better we want evolution, but then also want to have things not change you will buy day 1 and a new pc, for sure and that you dont grasp simple facts , now that is "despicable" and you can always just skip this software. you dont have to buy it but rather skip the fake outrage, that is a good start
why did you watch ???? all this fake outrage for someone that cannot get the dev right or that fact that this is not a plafform stream but a FX stream maybe remove the term "bug", because people throw it around far too easily. you would proably moan about the real atr as well or maybe create one yourself to "stick it to microsoft. but you probably have ZERO grasp of coding or dynamics. this will never be 100% like real flying, but you can always try COD or real flying
I would love the F22 to be a main fighter :/ the A-10 is incredible but it isnt vector turning, The F22 corners like a fly lol... Mach loop anyone??? :D
It all hangs on whether they've updated the camera system, because to be quite honest, the last camera dev was a complete and utter idiot, I've never seen someone get their job wrong so badly before in all my life, the guy does not have a clue how to make a camera system for a flight simulator, if it's still got that fish eye view you've ruined it again.
I installed MSFS a total of 4 times, no matter how hard I tried to like this sim, it was a complete mess from the get go. Flight model was boring AF. Camera system was made by an amateur developer. by the time you turn all the settings down to get it to run nicely it looks worse than X-Plane, just a complete mess of a simulator, and I was a beta tester for it, never been as disappointed at a game release in all my life
These dev streams are perfect. I had absolutely 0 interest in these planes just from the aircraft list, but hearing the devs speak on it stopped me from being a curmudgeon. It's great to see so much thought and heart are going into these.

Respect to you 😊
I never knew these aircraft existed let alone being so awesome using incredible modern tech. The Joby is like new city taxi but with no traffic.
These look like they’ll be awesome for sight seeing in VR. Appreciate the hard work that went into these.
Looking forward to next Wednesday!
VR? With so many moving objects like endless propellers? I have issues with gliders having an RTX 4090 :))) Let's see.
