@@pedroteran5885 I saw them exactly 2 years ago on the day with orchestra and 3 choirs in Reykjavik. I thought myself a bit crazy to spent all together about 1000€ to see them, but it was an incredible experience and I don't regret it for a minute only that I could not take my husband with me. Somehow I was a bit soothed, that I am not the only crazy person: the cards for those 4 concerts went to 42 different countries even to South America.

The raised eyebrows when Edda Tegeder starts singing, And again love watching you react to Skálmöld.
Could you react to Árás and Gleipnir from the same concert

Guest singer is Edda Tegeder Óskarsdóttir, she is vocalist/guitarist of Angist, you should check out Circle of Suffering. Anyways, Skálmöld is brilliant in tour, even without her, and had a good talks after the show half a year ago.

Her name is Edda, she was a guest singer from another female metal rock band called Angist

Edda was absolutely doing everything she was doing on purpose. It's her trademark thing: breaking out of the growl into a clean note of desperate angst. This song made me cry the first time I heard it

The first time I heard the live version I had to check the studio version again, because she is so spot on I thought they used the same recording!

If you don't know it already then a lot of the rhythmic movements of the conductor's hands is to indicate master tempo, so it's really helpful for the orchestra to have one guy telling everyone else what tempo they're at

saw them live with orchestra 2018 summer on 2nd iteration of this. same conductor, just he grew LONG hair. so imagine conductor guy woth longer hair, blasting once again to wonderful Skalmöld!!

Great reaction, great song and great show.
This was definitely Antonio's time to shine, great musical knowledge there.
Conductors are a quite exccentric people and each of them has their own style. The orchesrtas they are leading have to bond and train hard with them, so the musicians know what to do with his (or her) signs at the given time and they totally deserve recognition for what they are doing.
To sum up the playing of an orchestra: The musicians have their note sheets to play the music and the conductor decides how to play the music.

Hel is a giantess/ goddess from the Norse tales, daughter of Loki and the giantess Angrboda, and rules over the underworld. Skamold is fabulous, and this mans vocals are a Viking war cry.

So, some years ago Metallica played with a symphony orchestra and released their S & M album. People were feeling so and so about it, like how the the orchestra wasn't really integral to the Metallica songs. in 2013, the then 4 year old band and only 2 albums into their career was invited by the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra to play with them and produced a show that's just quite simply far superior to the musical output of the S&M performance. For those that haven't listed to the whole performance, here it is in its entirety.
