so the differenz to Yishans end board in terms of interuptions is, that you have an Apax Avian and he has Appolousa with two negates. Well I would say it depends on the match up, what's better (an omni-negate or two monster negates). but in your combo you can be hit with Nibiru until you normal summon the Statue. and that makes the combo way worse.

I saw Cimo's deck of the week about this deck a couple of weeks ago and then I watched some of your videos about it. Then I tested this deck out online and I love this deck! I took a 4 - 5 year hiatus from playing ygo and this has inspired me to build my first deck in a very long time. So thank you for showing off this deck!

I suggest testing out The Fabled Cerburrel in the deck as it can make the cat combo into 1 cat and any tribrigade monster. 1. Cat into Kerass and Kit link 2 for Ferrijit 2. Kit dump Nervall search Kerass or if you already have Kerass add a different one. 3. Use Ferrijit special one but keep Kerass in hand e.g. Kit 4. Kit eff banish 4 for Shuraig 5. Link all 3 for Apollousa Shuraig search Cerburrel 6. Kerass eff discard Cerburrel to special summon itself triggering Cerburrel in GY 7. Kerass banish 3 for a Simorgh 8. Synchro both Cerburrel and Kerass for Arc Light End board: Apollousa with 3 negates, an Arc Light and a Barrier Statue.
The only thing you were missing with the last combo was a pair of poorly-drawn sunglasses on your face as you went over it, haha. I dig these videos of yours. I just got the cards recently for this deck, and this definitely helped! I'm definitely liking and subbing, sir!
I'm just getting back into the game with this deck... and you know, even with out this absolutely critical info piece I was pulling off some ignorant boards. I'm really glad this video exists though.
2 card combo which is foolish burial and a lyrilusc turquoise warbler (this combo is good when you cannot open fraktall) I also like to run Number f0: utopic draco future because he's cheaper than zues and he's good. 1. Activate foolish to send cobalt sparrow. 2. Special warbler, activate effect and special sparrow, sparrow effect search nervall. 3. Overlay into starling, detach and search swallow to hand. 4. Special swallow and nerval from hand and overlay into another starling, detach specifically nerval to search a DD crow, nerval effect add kitt to hand. 5. Overlay into utopic future and then draco future. 6. Normal kitt, activate effect to banish 4 and special summon shuraig. 7. Link away shuraig and kitt into a simorgh, activate kitt in grave to send oath and shuraig to add kerass to hand. 8. Special kerass by discarding the dd crow from earlier. Activate kerass to banish 2 and summon double dragon Lords to field. Now you have a beast, beast warrior and winged beast on the field for oath to resolve. 9. End your turn and in end phase special barrier statue to the field.
Awesome combos! I'm learning a new one myself that I've just recently discovered on my own. How about... add a Naturia Beast in the mix. Yup you read right! Nat beast, Simor, apolu, statue, and then some on first turn. Yup, sending those resources to the grave for pluses! Infinite spell negate! Can't go wrong!
what may also be interesting: a one card combo with fraktall: 1. Eff Fraktall, dump Nervall. 2. Eff Nervall, search Kitt. 3. Normal Kitt. 4. Kitt eff banish 2, special Harpie Conductor; 5. in Combo 9 at 28:50 you should use Nervalls effect to summon Rugal, go in an Apollousa with 2 negates, and than go into the Simorgh link with Ferrijit an one of the birds. then turn the last lvl 1 Bird into Linkuriboh. Endboard: the same, except the apollousa has only two negates, but you can summon the statue under the simorgh, so it has targeting protection. in my oppinion thats much better.
Lol very good video, i aredy play bird up is it a little hard for starder to learn how to play this deck but when you use to it you can combo up with any hand and it very fun to play
@Yishan I know that you don't use jack in the hand due to remote duel, but i just wonder : do you think that rescue cat is better than kinka-byo and jack in the hand or do you prefer cat ? In real life if it will be possible to play in locals (in a future we hope) , will you use cat or kika and jack in the hand ?

Might sound like a noob play but what about playing reload and monster reincarnation? Warbler seems pivotal for big plays and is not really searchable. if you start with sparrow, reincarnation, and Fraktall you can send Warbler to the grave with Fraktall effect, use reincarnation to send sparrow to get back warbler and do the big play. Reincarnation also has some synergy with the tri-brigade graveyard effects. Reload can help the turn 1 big plays trying to find some way to Warbler, Sparrow, and Fraktall.
Can you possibly do the updated video? Seems no one runs Harpie Conductor anymore. So having trouble figuring out what would replace that step. Thank you
I can see the appeal for a gren maju player to go to this. Instead of banishing half your deck and hoping you still have what you need you can search so much in this deck and it is so consistent.
the problem is, that if you dump Oath before you have apollousa, like you do in Combo 8, you might get interupted and then not be able to make the Oath live.
You can make it work as, with a bit of foresight, you know what you can spare from the ED to dig for 3. The real question is do you need it? This deck is incredibly consistent. If you can play it at 40 with Upstart then bricking is rare and, with the addition of Cat, you have so many one/two card combo options. I would suggest Pot cards are a little unnecessary and potentially harmful.
@chris johnson what build plays 5 bricks? The main strength of the Bird Up deck is that it’s incredibly consistent and has a bunch of two card combo options.
What’s the most competitive build for this deck? I have option to make this version or the tribrigade Zoodiac version, or is there a way to combine all 3 to make it even better
So playing Master Duel, I still cannot for the life of me figure out why this is as after scouring the texts of all these cards there seems to be no reason for it, but I just CAN'T use the Tri-Brigade's ability to link summon from the grave most of the time. I have done it, know how to do it, but more than once I've either summoned a Tri-brigade after counting my graveyard to make sure I have enough cards (all either Tri brigades or Lyrilusc) only to not be prompted to use the ability, or even worse, sending Fraktall to the graveyard. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason- I'm completely aware that you can't link summon non-beast monsters the rest of the turn but I don't even have any link monsters in my extra deck that aren't one of the 3 types. I don't understand. Is there some weird timing issue or interaction I'm not seeing? Thanks

Sorry, this is a month late but I've just found this video (and your channel): on all the R-Cat combos, when linking into Ferrijit, how do use activate Kitt's "sent to GY" effect after summoning it with R-Cat? Shouldn't Kitt's effects be negated by R-cat's summoning effect? I'm a very casual duelist, so if you could explain what I'm missing, that'd be super helpful!
so there is a rule in yugioh that if a card changes location (field, grave, hand, banish being what I mean by location here) it is actually considered a different card, i.e. the kitt in the GY is not the same as the one on the field and since its effect activates in gave it can use it. Check out my advanced rulings made simple series.
So, on combo 5 (through Nib,) what’s the line if they Nibiru in response to Nervall’s effect to summon Rugal? Would it just depend on the other cards in hand?
was doing test hands and found it very hard to draw >1 HT per hand. do you think its worth to cut 1x kit 1x kerass 1x rendezvouz for a set of 3 handtraps?
so question, when you use the tri-brigade monster effects to banish and special the link monster can you special summon it anywhere or does it special to the extra monster zone or to a link pointer?

Something a bit more random you could attempt is shuraig to search for cat to summon nat beast, although nat beast is already debatable in the deck and isn't necessarily worth it over the standard board. Other than that, under the first combo line cat doesn't really do much else since you've already used nervall and kit, and going under different combo lines it may strictly not be worth it in terms of going out of the way to do something, at least going first. It might be something better turn 3, say if you're opponent has dragoon set up, then you could bait it, ns x tribrigade and make shuraig to banish dragoon, make ferr and search rescue, then summon and use rescue to summon ferr and kerass, sending them for whatever link 2, then sending nerv. The issue is that that then you don't end on anything of note, essentially, so it's not good unless you have fodder for (and have) another kerass at that point, whereas otherwise you could just add a tb off shuraig's search.
@@Yishan so I’m assuming that same “rule” applies to any card that you’re bringing out using that specific tribrigade effect , correct? Like Harpie Conductor and Simorgh, how they have specific summoning requirements. All that gets bypassed since you’re not technically “link summoning” them?

Sorry, this is a month late but I've just found this video (and your channel): on all the R-Cat combos, when linking into Ferrijit, how do use activate Kitt's "sent to GY" effect after summoning it with R-Cat? Shouldn't Kitt's effects be negated by R-cat's summoning effect? I'm a very casual duelist, so if you could explain what I'm missing, that'd be super helpful!
so there is a rule in yugioh that if a card changes location (field, grave, hand, banish being what I mean by location here) it is actually considered a different card, i.e. the kitt in the GY is not the same as the one on the field and since its effect activates in gave it can use it. Check out my advanced rulings made simple series.

Cat always gets negated by hand trap so opening cat gamma alot of the time makes your opponent play w 4 cards

yeah ina lot of these combos. you will be wanting to resolve ferrijet eff but this is just worst case stuff

Often you can search Cat using Shuraig's effect, does it open any new combo line?
Something a bit more random you could attempt is shuraig to search for cat to summon nat beast, although nat beast is already debatable in the deck and isn't necessarily worth it over the standard board. Other than that, under the first combo line cat doesn't really do much else since you've already used nervall and kit, and going under different combo lines it may strictly not be worth it in terms of going out of the way to do something, at least going first. It might be something better turn 3, say if you're opponent has dragoon set up, then you could bait it, ns x tribrigade and make shuraig to banish dragoon, make ferr and search rescue, then summon and use rescue to summon ferr and kerass, sending them for whatever link 2, then sending nerv. The issue is that that then you don't end on anything of note, essentially, so it's not good unless you have fodder for (and have) another kerass at that point, whereas otherwise you could just add a tb off shuraig's search.

You have to settle for simorgh, statue and rendezvouz on the gy for that.

@@Yishan so I’m assuming that same “rule” applies to any card that you’re bringing out using that specific tribrigade effect , correct? Like Harpie Conductor and Simorgh, how they have specific summoning requirements. All that gets bypassed since you’re not technically “link summoning” them?
