About Riverdale:
As a new school year begins, the town of Riverdale is reeling from the recent, tragic death of high school golden boy Jason Blossom - and nothing feels the same. Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) is still the all-American teen, but the summer’s events made him realize that he wants to pursue a career in music and not follow in his dad’s footsteps despite the sudden end of his forbidden relationship with Riverdale’s young music teacher, Ms. Grundy (Sarah Habel). Now Archie has no one to mentor him, certainly not singer Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray), who is only focused on her band, the soon-to-be-world-famous Pussycats. It’s all weighing heavily on Archie’s mind - as is his fractured friendship with budding writer and fellow classmate Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse).
Meanwhile, girl-next-door Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) is anxious to see her crush Archie after being away all summer, but she’s not quite ready to reveal her true feelings to him. And Betty’s nerves, which are hardly soothed by her overbearing mother Alice (Mädchen Amick), aren’t the only thing holding her back. When a new student, Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), arrives in town from New York with her mother Hermione (Marisol Nichols), there’s an undeniable spark between Veronica and Archie, even though Veronica doesn’t want to risk her new friendship with Betty by making a play for Archie. And then there’s Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch)... Riverdale’s Queen Bee is happy to stir up trouble amongst Archie, Betty and Veronica, but Cheryl is keeping secrets of her own. What, exactly, is she hiding about the mysterious death of her twin brother, Jason? Riverdale may look like a quiet, sleepy town, but there are dangers in the shadows.

I can't handle what this show is about anymore. Everyhting is so weird and it's not my Riverdale anymore. But nevertheless, this song was really beautiful and you could see, that the cast shared real tears there.
For me it's the opposite, the show's finally grown into the Riverdale I always wished the show were - regardless, I'll agree with you, this song is beautiful
@@wariowarecomix they should have done it this way from the beginning, but I guess that they were too scared that this won‘t work like in the comics, so they made up aaall the teen drama, the murder storys and solving crimes 🙄 but after all that time changing a show for ONE season, where everything is different than before (I miss bughead so much) just doesn‘t work for me. I feel like I wasted my time with all the seasons before 🙁
@@Saabriinii I know it doesn't necessarily help at all, but in case it does, try to think of the seasons as essentially different comic runs. As a fan of the comics I'm super used to them doing like one-shots and miniseries of the characters in various very different situations and genres - even the main run of the 2015 Archie comic went through a couple of creative teams and directions. And it can be jarring, especially if you get used to one take only for it to be replaced with another, but I think it helps to view it as an inevitability of the Archie Comics brand and to instead focus on trying to see what's fun and interesting about the new take
As for Bughead, I really can't relate to missing that particular pairing, my preferred takes on Jughead and Betty are the ones where they're essentially best friends (a dynamic we're still robbed of, unfortunately :-/) and I honestly prefer takes on Jughead that aren't allo and/or het, but I do know it sucks when a ship or character that you're rooting for disappears, so like while I can't exactly agree with you I do get it
(Maybe they should have made the show an explicitly anthology type thing that changes setting, year and genre very clearly each season to avoid the mess they're in with some longtime fans now?)
@@wariowarecomix yes, I would be more happy if they changed the time and style and settings every season I guess. This way is just not right, but I get that they wanna show off the comic aspect of it, as it should have been from the beginning. I think we‘re completely robbed of with every friendship here, I feel like Jughead is just a side character in this season, and I don‘t see him often with Archie or Betty and we all know they are the closest friends. Hmpffff
@@Saabriinii That's definitely all criticism I agree with. I'm loving the vibe and the more comicsy stuff too much to be mega bothered, but I do wish Jughead shared more scenes with Archie and Betty, hell, even Reggie and Veronica (though I'm not sure how Jughead and Reggie's dynamic would work with the show's significantly nicer portrayal of Reggie this season). I love how much material Ethel is getting here but I'd gladly sacrifice like a solid 30% of that for Jughead having time to build believable friendships with the rest of the core gang

Enough with the musicals already. This is probably the reason why the CW is pulling the plug entirely after season 7, because it’s getting ridiculous with the musicals. Also why are they making Betty & Veronica into a romantic couple? Outrageous 😂
I like the musicals, and Betty and Veronica have dated in the comics as well (Archie vs. Predator II) so it's not that out of left field
