I find the asexual male population doesn't get as much recognition as the female, so it's great to see what you're doing. As an older asexual it's nice to see this younger generation reaching out to each other, Keep up the great work!

Thank you!! Means a lot, I have noticed that it is mostly girls that are posting videos about them coming out as asexual on UA-cam, so want to show that male asexuals still exist. Thanks a lot for your comment

The popular question is" How do you know if you've never had sex?" I ask" Why do you care? I told you a thing and you need to have the respect to accept it."

Most of the responses I’ve gotten are “Good for you!” and “Thank you for trusting me enough to share that!” which is so great and I feel very lucky to be surrounded by such great people ♥️
One response really made me laugh because of how shocked they were 😂

I haven' told anyone yet about my asexuality. For me it's still new and I have to feel comfortable before I start telling people. At the moment I feel like it isn't something my family should know. Even if sometimes I wish they would know. I'm currently in love with someone and we've only be true friends for 4 months I think. But I know him almost a year now. I met him yesterday and my family is ALWAYS asking what did we do...
they are very open-minded about all this sexuality stuff so questions like "Did you kiss?" and even more embarassing questions are normal for me -.- (but no we didn't because he has a broken heart at the moment and I'm not the right person for an affair...). So...yes...those questions are reaaaaally annoying! And still....one day I have to tell him about my sexuality and I'm really afraid of that day :( I want to cry...
I think my friends will react positively but I think my family might react in this way "You haven't met the right person yet" or "It's just a phase".
I'm happy for you that your friends and family reacted so positively :) Do your parents knoe that you are making UA-cam videos? ^^

I can understand that it takes time before you can tell people, I was the same. I hope you feel like you can soon. It shouldn't have to be like this though, we should be able to feel comfortable telling people about our sexuality with no fear of anyone judging us for the way that we are, but that's not the case unfortunately :/

Yes you are right :) would be awesome if this wasn't such a deal. That's why I don't like "coming outs". I understand why we have to do it but I'd like it more if it was like a normal talk "Oh rainy weather today. And I figured out I am asexual. Last time Jennifer told me that you like red shoes?"
That would be awesome. And an LGBTQA class in school would be great too!

+Liradu2 haha exactly, that's exactly what I say in one of my videos :) hopefully that will be the case in the near future :)

Ok so US sex ed.... It varies greatly by state and I have not have any classes go over any different types of orientations. The extent of the sex I have gotten is if you have sex you will get pregnant and die (excuse my Mean Girls reference) but if you do have sex use condoms. They called the whole puberty talk sex ed, just so they would have enough material to consider it a unit in health classes (how much exercise you should have, basic anatomy stuff, how to eat healthy...). I do know that a lot of people are speaking out a lot and trying to get things changed throughout the country to be more pro-LGBTQIA+ and less abstinence only but it takes a ton of time to get such a touchy subject agreed upon. I think in most places currently it's very minimal (like what I had), and it is up to the student and their parents to find out more. And good job with 50 subscribers! I smiled when I saw that you uploaded another video today.

There is a new John Oliver video out on UA-cam on US sex ed... I haven't seen it yet.

Yeah sounds very similar to the UK tbh, except here we don't seem to be making any effort to implement the values of minority sexualities into the curriculum. Thanks for letting me know though :) thanks so much, you helped make it happen.

Well I went to Catholic school in America, so I never got a public school education on sexuality. So yeah though in answer to your question, I went to school in America, and my sex ed was EVERYTHING heterosexual. They mentioned homosexuality, but only to say that we should all treat them with respect and not make fun of them - which is good, but not good enough. Because there could very well have been queer kids in our class who would have benefited from an actual education on sexual orientations - like myself as an asexual for example. I think it sucks when you have to discover who you are through the internet, and not through mandatory education. But also, on the other hand, thank god for the internet.

+butterscotchwm I completely agree, schools should be inclusive of EVERYONE'S sexuality to ensure that everyone understands what every sexuality is. I believe this should be taught pretty early on to ensure kids understand that just because one person is not heterosexual it does not mean that they're not normal.

A whole lot of asexuals are sex repulsed. That is normal. But it appears that some wet dreams are traumatic for you. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. Being sex repulsed isn't bad. But I would suggest what if you go to a therapist/social worked to just focus on how to deal with having wet dreams, and maybe lessen anxiety attached to it. That doesn't make you crazy. In my opinion everyone should go to the therapist from time to time.

+Nicole Nicoleo thanks so much for this. Admittedly as I have been having them for about 6 years now, I am now used to them. But thank you so much for this piece of advice, I completely agree with you. Nobody should be afraid to go and get help

Wet dreams are your body telling you to have sex. It is cleaning out the older sperm to make room to produce new ones.

Ok so what is the one thing that pleasures you to replace sex in your life? Like what makes you feel like ecstasy or orgasmic ? A kiss? a good meal? sorry I just want to learn more about asexuals and what they do to feel good in life :) I know nothing can feel as good as an orgasm so it must be hard not feeling that ? Do you asexuals have and orgasm in the chest area or ?

    • @CookeeMonsterr
      @CookeeMonsterr  9 років тому

One thing to note is not all asexuals are the same, if you asked this to ten asexuals chances are you will get 10 completely different answers. Sure I love kisses etc and yeah a lot of food gives me pleasure too :) thanks for your comment

Asexuals are still capable of having orgasms, we just don’t really feel the need for them..? We don’t really want them.
I know it may be hard for someone who does feel sexual attraction to imagine living without sex and it may seem like something that would be equivalent to torture 😂 but asexuals don’t feel the desire to have that in their lives.
Hope that helped clear things up :)
