The last game was chef's kiss perfect.
It took some time and preparations but it all came together in the end
Leona’s is using her shield to protect herself from the other students throwing her food!
That’s why she has the big ass shield!
The level-up art is her standing up against the bullies. It's quite cool tbh

If you guys pay attention the people throwing food are Boomcrew rookie and The zaun 4 mana unit that creates sumworks map when you hit allegiance.
And in level 1 you can see an egg going through the shield then lev 2 art the egg is on her shoulder. Like that was the last straw.

In the art for Leona, the shield is blocking food being thrown at her by other kids. I think EZ is there throwing some food as well.

36:50 - the lifesteal didnt work because you set ASol to strike first, and since he had 13 atk, he killed the unit before the lifesteal one could hit :b Thought you might've overlooked that part
He didn't at first though. He first sets the Sunforger to strike first and even checks the eye.Although im not sure what he was so confused about when he said "sometimes CS works and sometimes it doesnt".
It did work tho he just forgot that time winder deals 1 to nexus so he only gets three health back

Concerted Strike had a bug with fury where striking an already dead unit would still give +1+1. Mogwai wanted the +1+1 more but would have liked to heal 4 as well.
I think it must be a neat feeling to post a deck then play against it the next day lol
Hey guys. It's me. I'm the guy that does the thing where I keep up with the number of times Mog has played each champion. I'm sure no-one was actually count'n on me for that, but I felt rude not saying anything. Unfortunately depression has been kick'n my ass recently and I just don't have the energy to do it anymore. Maybe in the future I'll feel better and make up for lost time. Who knows. Anyway. So long and thanks for all the decks.

I legit think Leona is a solid champion but Daybreak really falls apart without her, that's why I think Riot should give her tough so she'll have more survivability.

I'm actually playing a Leona/Darius deck for a week now and I have a 70%-80% win rate against Poppy and Sion/Draven decks. The stuns from daybreak and the early damage they can deal really paves the way for an OTK from Darius.
Can you share this deck? I really like Darius and I am lacking a good deck with him lately. Not a good deck creator myself. Thank you!

I know you won the last game but man, that infinite value provided by Lost Soul really says about how insane that card is, especially in that deck. I find the card amazing but also straight up degenerate and ridiculous. I was at the edge of my seat watching that last game and wondering how are you gonna pull it off. Props for winning that one, Mogwai!

@megamogwai the reason concentrated strike fails to activate sometimes is because the target is already dead fury and life steal units have to hit first to proc their effect. If the first unit kills them even though it shows the strike they are swinging at nothing
Damn man, the Mindsplitter has some awesome SFX. When you dropped it against FTR it just sounded so sick. Had no idea because no one plays it haha.
Leona has that shield because she's probably that uptight member of their student council who everyone dislikes and she's blocking the food thrown at her, or Ez is that chaotic student who starts food fight in the cafeteria and Leona is caught in the middle of it, again.

if u take a look at the art you will se food being thrown at leona which is why she has activated the shield and why she holds it(there is a field around her that comes from her shield)

the fact a sion/draven deck (supposed to be a midrange) can keep up with an aurelion sol at super late game shows how dumb lost soul is.

16:50, Students are allowed to bring anything to school. All sorts of students bring weapons. Side note, if you're in the assassin club, you're allowed to "practice" on other students.

There is lore for the skins. The battle academia is a classic anime combat school, there are four houses like in Harry Potter. Sorcey club, Battle club, Luminary club and Assassin club, the last one being the only one with permission to kill another student during a combat, for some reason. The champions are students from the different clubs being the "protagonists" Lux and Ezreal. It is not that long, mostly anime references and tropes

I feel like its really a deck that just doens't go very far against decks that have any form of stall. Even a single stun can just completely mess up their winning turn

have you though about including Inviolus vox? its a good card that can generate you perma value with dragons every turn. and has 6 health which is hard to kill instantly
Could be a good add though this is a sun break deck not dragons.
The thing is that there are no need in value in this deck. This deck is generating enough value, as we saw in a game vs Draven Sion.
To be fair, if I had to choose between eating with one hand and dealing with Ezreal and co throwing fried eggs, milkshakes, burgers, etc around while eating...I think I'd have the giant shield out too.

We need a goth Diana BA skin :p maybe she'd participate in the food fight and is throwing the chicken at Leona in a tsundere "show affection by annoying someone" type of way
Kind of surprised they've taken the Battle Academy route and introduced the Lux and Ezreal (aka also Lux) skins. Of all the Lux skins I think Star Guardian is the most iconic one and it would've been an opportunity to give Poppy, Lulu, MF, Ezreal and Jinx their respective skins too.
But I can certainly see Lux getting 2 skins and Malphite silently waiting for his odyssey skin

I wonder why 1 mana flash speed daybreak/nightfall spell, that works super good with Rahvun and Leona, weren't added to the deck.
The problem is that it's *only* good with Rahvun on the board. If you're a Daybreak deck, you probably have a better use for your Daybreak trigger, and if you're using it for the Nightfall, just slot in whatever you'd hope to get off of it.
It's nice for Create decks and decks that play both Day and Night, but in a pure Daybreak deck, there's not much you'd want to do with it.

Mog, about the concerted strike, for it to heal, you would beed to choose the sister first, because if she hits the heal first, as you chose the Aurelion and he killed the card, the sister didn't cause damage, so it didn't heal

When you concentrate strike if your first monster kills the unit the second units attack doesn't happen you just get the little animation. That is why you didn't get any lifesteal your Sol killed the Zion so the lifesteal unit hit nothing essentially.

Mogwai, if you’re in the Leona market, I wonder if you’d try out daybreak frostbites? Forking open with frostbites and develops with Leona stuns is really strong. I also really like using leonas champ spell as a finisher, especially when you have a sun hawk on board. It would be so sick!

well, if you really look at the illustration, you'll see that Leona is in middle of a food war so she has to have her shield up to protect her from the food
