yum!....its a chilly Montana Saturday morning minus 12 26 inches of fresh snow...living vicariously thru your travels...only one problem with this video it made me hungry, but when I went to the fridge there was no fois gras , no escargot, no scallops and somebody ate all the pate and caviar....such a let down ;-)

It is bad enough that I gained weight even trying to stay away from lunch and afternoon tea (scones with cream) but then I have to edit all the food. I would sit down at each meal with no intention of vlogging and then a plate is put before me that I just have to video. Much, much food ended up on my "cutting room" floor and much, much food ended up in my stomach. Groan and pass the TUMS.
Thanks for sharing, you've changed my mind in Oceania's overall experience! I'm a huge foodie but I have to watch what I eat, and it seems there's something for everyone (but definitely more gourmet on this ship). I have a few suggestions for you though: 1. try to hold the camera steady because it's dizzying otherwise; 2. always remember to finish your comments before cutting the scene (what did you say?); 3. be nice to your server even when you are disgusted by your dish, they work hard and are generally not paid well; 4. Not necessarily your doing, but cruises in general have a horrendous amount of food waste. Keep the vids coming...

Thank you for sharing this video, but I'm quite bothered by your propensity to waste food. At one point, you show us your beef wellington/rock lobster entree and then proudly proclaim " believe me, I'm not eating it all, I (only) want to taste it." Apparently, most of the filet mignon and lobster goes down the trash chute? This is very wasteful and increases the costs for all of us who cruise. There is too much food waste on cruise ships.
Thanks so much for your view and thoughtful comment, Paul. There is incredible food waste on ships! I gave up on not to wasting food since it is an exercise in frustration. At home, everything I don't eat comes home in a baggie for another day. With trays and trays of buffet food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, my uneaten "tastes" are a drop in the bucket. IF, both the tenderloin and lobster were delicious, I would eat them both but much of what I order is not to my taste, e.g., that entree. I'm not faulting the cruise line since it is impossible to please everyone. I also hate to see the abundance of food go down the drain when so much of the world is starving but don't have a solution. I'm booked on an Oceania to Bermuda in July. No telling it will actually go but this is helpful. I hope they offer gluten free options. It looks like most of those desserts are a no go for me. I'm wondering if Oceania's food is any better than NCL or Royal. The presentation definitely looks it.
Oceania definitely wins on presentation. I thought the food was good but not worth their brochure bragging rights. But, as I always say, "We all have opinions." I am positive they will have gluten-free options so no worries on that. I've even noticed gluten free corners in some hotels. The wave of the future 🤔 So hope yours (and my) scheduled cruises go. Just got back after 20 days on Riviera. Ate my way through the UK, France and Spain. The food is superb. Gained 8.2 lbs. So worth it.
