I painted an In Flames leather jacket for my ex Husband back when we were still together, it's pretty bad ass I still have a few pics of it. They're not the best photos, but I had put texture on their jester head character so it had a really cool final outcome and held that sort of runic look that is in the face. Wish I had better pics of it.

The Depeche Mode cover was definitely the best. Wicked Game isn't awful but it just makes me want to listen to the version that H.I.M. did. I don't even like HIM at all really but the cover of Wicked Game they did was fucking great, if their own music was that good I'd actually listen to it haha
I think IF remains the only band whose Depeche Mode covers I like. Wicked game sounds off to me, like the vocals are in the wrong key half of the time.
And even the Depeche Mode-cover is kinda boring, because they almost play it one to one like the original. But it's still the best one on this EP.
Also I don't know why they had to cover some of the most covered songs on this planet of all times? Why not try something a bit more unique?At least the Depeche Mode one is quite okay. The other ones are horrible...
Their version of Down in a Hole & Hurt are damn near flawless.i enjoy In Flames for their ability to stay at it,even tho they have shifted sounds multiple times,they are all unique in the sense I can appreciate each album for its individual identity.Wicked Game is an oldschool song that like,my dad knows.he enjoys this version,and honestly so do I.the first track idk who is the origins artist but I enjoy In Flames and all their music.solid.worth the 6$ I spent

I have never seen such hate for covers before in my life. These are great covers of some of the greatest bands of all time. AIC and fucking NIN would be disappointed hear this. I love metal, but you guys need to broaden your horizons a little bit if you can't respect these songs. It sounds like the majority of you don't even realize these are covers, and these songs have been treated among the best of all time.

Okay. Metalhead confession time: Though I'm not a fan of the direction that In Flames has taken, I will say that their rhythm sections in newer releases have always caught my attention as a listener. Something about the way the drums work to try to make a standard 4/4 beat sound interesting, accompanied with the subdued guitar riffing and melodies - what little there is to be found - in "It's No Good" almost make me want to buy this EP. Almost.

People piss and moan about this... it sounds like their Passenger project they did back in 2003/2004. Bands evolve. Friden's voice definitely isn't what it used to be, now with the use of autotune, and more singing vocally. yea i miss the old days but im not going to shit on them for still doing what they're doing.

Rhinainflames I thoroughly enjoyed their passenger project, and also enjoy the direction they are headed. As I said, his voice isn't what it used to be, but they're making it work. In flames is, and always will be, one of my favorite bands. I will always buy tickets to their shows when they come around. When I do see them, it's like seeing friends you haven't seen in a long long time. I love that feeling.

In Flames is one of those bands that surpass the chains of their genre and just focus on writing Music. My main issue with this EP is the overall production. It could've been polished a bit better in my opinion, but their performances were great nevertheless. I can't wait for their next album. I loved Battles, my only beef being a bit with the production. I only hope the next album has more of the raw punch they had in previous albums, like Siren Charms and Sounds of a Playground Fading.

If In Flames wants to be taken seriously at all with their sound, they really need to rename the band. They're always going to be compared to their old sound until they do. That's kind of how names work.
If you looked at me and said "hey want some pizza?" and I said yes, then you handed me a brownie, it might be a great brownie, but no amount of "well this is just what the word pizza means now" is going to make me not set the expectation for tomato sauce and cheese on baked dough. After that, anything that's not "old pizza" isn't going to scratch the itch.

Unfortunately, the title describes the content very, very accurately.
But there is a silver lining, at least for In Flames - they probably gonna be playing those songs on the radio, and IF can make even more money.
