Absolutely. I was hesitant to give Titanfall 2 a try, since the first game had not really a SP campaign and thus, I was sceptical. And boy, was I wrong. The SP campaign of Titanfall 2 is definitely one of the best and most fun SP campaigns I have played in a game of this type for quite some time. The only thing I would complain about is that the campaign was a bit short for my liking, but then again it still absolutely excels pretty much every SP campaign of most modern SP FPS. I mean, what they have the balls to call "SP campaign" in the MW games usually can be finished in less than 2 hours...

Jay Jayson I got it yesterday on pc and I can confirm the enemies are in fact not bullet sponges but are actually damage type enemies, example being if I shoot a enemy that takes primarily small arms damage they will die relatively quicker then if I were to use larger round weapons

I like it in Far Cry 2 because there are at least two routes you can take to get to and from objectives, and it makes the decision to take a different return route easier. Check out FC2 Redux by BigTinz, it's a masterpiece.
Hate that shit. Recently played Borderlands GOTY Ed, and sometimes I’d spend 5 minutes carefully clearing out a dozen enemies. I’d move forward a bit too far coming across another large group, and fire away while backing up, only to realize that the first group I cleared had respawned, and then I’m surrounded by two dozen enemies.

This guy is definitely brilliant, but as cool as he is, for me personally the deep dive into each aspect of the game is what makes it difficult to enjoy a game. Days gone is the epitome of this. That game is a masterpiece in my book. I had more fun in my 65 hours in that game than any other game this year. Putting a game like that under a microscope will totally spoil the experience and cause some to miss out on a beautiful game. In many cases the negative reviews caused many to miss the experience all together.

Well the original premise is escape a nazi evil castle that is either science lab or some kind of prison or both.. yeaaahhh been done so they need to branch out of it so I don't really see it as losing their way
razor edge the new order was miles better than the new colossus in my opinion. It felt that to me in the new order the focus was on making incredibly fun and diverse gunplay with a good variety of levels. It felt balanced and exciting to play through. In the new colossus it felt to me they discarded quite a bit of that delicate gunplay balance in favor of virtue signaling and quirky storytelling. Something just felt off to me the whole way through that game. Now it looks like they’ve doubled down again on virtue signaling and sjw nonsense. I feel they lost their way. Where the new order felt like a natural evolution of the older wolfenstein games, the new colossus felt like a grotesque mutation. Looking at this footage of Youngblood, it is even worse than the new colossus. Edit: oh and you must not have played the old blood where the setting of the game is castle wolfenstein. They did it just fine there with no complaints from their fans

Do you remember how they initially advertised the game leading up to release? Oh course bj had to have a racist father that shot dogs and hated black people. As far as the gameplay goes, did you try playing the game on medium? Even medium difficulty was so poorly balanced that you could no longer run and gun without dying. What made doom 2016 and the new order so successful? The gunplay balance and the badass feeling it gave you when you were just blowing apart rooms of nazis. I absolutely hated the first half of the game where you only had 50 hp. God it was poorly balanced. Level design is next. The level design of the new colossus doesn’t come close to the globe trotting adventure that was the new order. The levels were so stupidly boring. I hated it. The only level I actually really loved was the train level. They did a good job on that level. That was the only one. Don’t even try to compare the two games gameplay wise. The new colossus can’t compete. Edit: remember that weird fever dream level of bj where he was in the amphitheater trying to escape only to find out it was a dream? It took me an hour to beat that stupid level. Just fricking terrible design. I actually gave up on the game after that level for weeks. It took me a long time to pick the game back up. That wasn’t a problem with the new order. I couldn’t put it down when I played through it. I ignored all the warning signs I saw of the marketing and gameplay leading up to release because I was such a huge fan of the the new order. I was going to buy it anyway. I just didn’t see how I couldn’t have a good time playing the sequel even if they messed up in some areas. God was I wrong

I work in communications and the marketing around Young Blood seemed suspiciously lacking for a title that you'd think they'd be shouting about from the rooftops if they were really proud of it. I started getting a "Holiday season movie release pushed to January or February" vibe from it pretty quickly.
They knew it was mediocre, and Doom is coming out later. This is just an underwhelming sequel at all. Maybe they should've waited another year or something.

Nvr Slp I beat it and there’s atleast 15 hours of side missions and probably 3-5 hours of story the game look beautiful but the story is underwhelming with little to no attachment to the characters and the plot feels like a set up to a more fleshed out game which is what we didn’t get in this title if you can tell one of your friends who want it to buy the buddy pass version of the game and pay him back 10$ because this game isn’t worth 30$ I’d argue it’s worth 15$ 20$ at most, the game has you running around the same areas until you have memorized it like the back of your hand ... I went off on a tangent I’m sure you see the point

I´m not a huge fan of the new changes either. The forced co-op and screen crammed with HUD, in particular, seem rather redundant. I personally don't need an annoying health bar above regular enemies, and the huge orange "LEFT CTRL" hint is simply ridiculous.

I thought this was going to be a short 6 hour experience like Old Blood was for $30, but it seem to have a lot more content then I thought it would have. It might have more content that New Colossus had.

ACG, I hope you are read this. GTX 2080 and 2080Ti are the utmost top end of performance and it's absurd to mention them as requirements for 4k since graphical fidelity in games has only marginally gotten better for the past 2-3 years. The only substantial graphical advancement is raytracing, but it's worthless to discuss at this point due to its steep pricing.
I feel like all Wolfenstein games are meant to be played for one playthrough and then maybe pick up a year later and play through again none of them are really made for replayability including this one
I adored The New Order but The Old Blood and especially The New Colossus were disappointing. I'll probably try this out when very cheap. Shame, but thanks for the heads-up! Great review.

I just got this game from Gamefly, and I actually love it so far. I'm disappointed that so many people are hating on it. I can understand why some might not like the changes, but to me this game feels like a studio taking a risk and I like that attitude. And this isn't a "mainline" Wolfenstin game. It's a sort of expansion or add on. Perhaps I'll change my mind as I get further in, but I've loved every minute of the first few hours and those daughters are hilarious.
That’s basically what it is but most people don’t realize. Old Blood was a dlc to new order but they released it as a stand-alone game. This game is the same with it being $30 it’s not meant to be the next huge “Wolfenstein 3” type installment in the franchise. When you look at it like that it’s fine I think many for some reason take it as the next big entry that will show where Wolfenstein is heading when it’s just a side game released in the meantime until we get 3. So that’s why I find it ridiculous when some say it’s franchise ruining because they’re basically letting an extended dlc ruin a franchise for them lol.
When I first saw the cover of the game, I burst out in laughter and was like: "What is this ? Life is Strange 3 ?" xD Jess looks so much like Max Caulfield. And, you know, life is kind of strange for them :P
ACG maybe I misquoted him. I believe what he said was that some enemies were taking forever to beat because they were bullet sponges even with a shotgun so he tried buying a small melee weapon with real world cash and that small melee weapon did more damage than the shotgun. Seems like they want you buy those weapons to make things go faster. But I think you said the real money was only for cosmetic stuff. I reached out to him for clarification.

I'm an older gamer and I don't like this way of doing things. I prefer my, pay for a game and get all the content. Doesn't matter what in game the purchases are, I'm against the concept in general.

Looking at this footage of Youngblood, it is even worse than the new colossus. Edit: oh and you must not have played the old blood where the setting of the game is castle wolfenstein. They did it just fine there with no complaints from their fans

Albert Wesker I disagree. It seemed they did a bunch of things for the sake of diversity. Who does pointless things solely for the sake of diversity alone? Sjws. Do you remember how they initially advertised the game leading up to release? Do you even know of the punch nazis campaign that just so happened to launch right after the same hashtag became trendy on twitter? Oh course bj had to have a racist father that shot dogs and hated black people. As far as the gameplay goes, did you try playing the game on medium? Even medium difficulty was so poorly balanced that you could no longer run and gun without dying. What made doom 2016 and the new order so successful? The gunplay balance and the badass feeling it gave you when you were just blowing apart rooms of nazis. I absolutely hated the first half of the game where you only had 50 hp. God it was poorly balanced. Level design is next. The level design of the new colossus doesn’t come close to the globe trotting adventure that was the new order. The levels were so stupidly boring. I hated it. The only level I actually really loved was the train level. They did a good job on that level. That was the only one. Don’t even try to compare the two games gameplay wise. The new colossus can’t compete. Edit: remember that weird fever dream level of bj where he was in the amphitheater trying to escape only to find out it was a dream? It took me an hour to beat that stupid level. Just fricking terrible design. I actually gave up on the game after that level for weeks. It took me a long time to pick the game back up. That wasn’t a problem with the new order. I couldn’t put it down when I played through it. I ignored all the warning signs I saw of the marketing and gameplay leading up to release because I was such a huge fan of the the new order. I was going to buy it anyway. I just didn’t see how I couldn’t have a good time playing the sequel even if they messed up in some areas. God was I wrong
Environments and gameplay look like Homefront : The Revolution, very similar looking.

I work in communications and the marketing around Young Blood seemed suspiciously lacking for a title that you'd think they'd be shouting about from the rooftops if they were really proud of it. I started getting a "Holiday season movie release pushed to January or February" vibe from it pretty quickly.
They knew it was mediocre, and Doom is coming out later. This is just an underwhelming sequel at all. Maybe they should've waited another year or something.
A coop campaign game with no split screen? I love these games but that's just disapointing.

Nvr Slp I beat it and there’s atleast 15 hours of side missions and probably 3-5 hours of story the game look beautiful but the story is underwhelming with little to no attachment to the characters and the plot feels like a set up to a more fleshed out game which is what we didn’t get in this title if you can tell one of your friends who want it to buy the buddy pass version of the game and pay him back 10$ because this game isn’t worth 30$ I’d argue it’s worth 15$ 20$ at most, the game has you running around the same areas until you have memorized it like the back of your hand ... I went off on a tangent I’m sure you see the point

I´m not a huge fan of the new changes either. The forced co-op and screen crammed with HUD, in particular, seem rather redundant. I personally don't need an annoying health bar above regular enemies, and the huge orange "LEFT CTRL" hint is simply ridiculous.

I never cared for wolfenstein series that terribly much. I preferred Doom.
After doom I just couldn't get into wolfenstein even when I tried to. Doom is just so polished and intense it makes everything else seem pretty weak.

New order and old blood are the only two good ones in the new series. I wasn't a fan of 2 because of the writing, levels and the new characters.

I thought this was going to be a short 6 hour experience like Old Blood was for $30, but it seem to have a lot more content then I thought it would have. It might have more content that New Colossus had.
Got to love those barely noticeable upgrades. +2% permanent damage! Wow! Also, I can't help but think that the pre-order stuff is weak when compared to games like Cyberpunk 2077 that has a bunch of stuff in the standard edition.

ACG, I hope you are read this.
GTX 2080 and 2080Ti are the utmost top end of performance and it's absurd to mention them as requirements for 4k since graphical fidelity in games has only marginally gotten better for the past 2-3 years. The only substantial graphical advancement is raytracing, but it's worthless to discuss at this point due to its steep pricing.
I feel like all Wolfenstein games are meant to be played for one playthrough and then maybe pick up a year later and play through again none of them are really made for replayability including this one

I just got this game from Gamefly, and I actually love it so far. I'm disappointed that so many people are hating on it. I can understand why some might not like the changes, but to me this game feels like a studio taking a risk and I like that attitude. And this isn't a "mainline" Wolfenstin game. It's a sort of expansion or add on. Perhaps I'll change my mind as I get further in, but I've loved every minute of the first few hours and those daughters are hilarious.
It more deserved to be DLC of Wolfenstein 2 !!!
That’s basically what it is but most people don’t realize. Old Blood was a dlc to new order but they released it as a stand-alone game. This game is the same with it being $30 it’s not meant to be the next huge “Wolfenstein 3” type installment in the franchise. When you look at it like that it’s fine I think many for some reason take it as the next big entry that will show where Wolfenstein is heading when it’s just a side game released in the meantime until we get 3.
So that’s why I find it ridiculous when some say it’s franchise ruining because they’re basically letting an extended dlc ruin a franchise for them lol.
When I first saw the cover of the game, I burst out in laughter and was like: "What is this ? Life is Strange 3 ?" xD Jess looks so much like Max Caulfield. And, you know, life is kind of strange for them :P

ACG maybe I misquoted him. I believe what he said was that some enemies were taking forever to beat because they were bullet sponges even with a shotgun so he tried buying a small melee weapon with real world cash and that small melee weapon did more damage than the shotgun. Seems like they want you buy those weapons to make things go faster. But I think you said the real money was only for cosmetic stuff. I reached out to him for clarification.

I seem to be a minority with this, but games that have microtransactions are an automatic "wait 6-12 months for sale" for me. I'm an older gamer and I don't like this way of doing things. I prefer my, pay for a game and get all the content. Doesn't matter what in game the purchases are, I'm against the concept in general.
