That’s actually untrue. All band members have previously described Alan as a control freak and quite difficult to get along with. You should read up on it.
@@AntonyLorenzo That's interesting - I'd not heard that view. Could you let me know where you've seen/read them saying that? I'd like to read as you suggest. Thanks.
@@AntonyLorenzo Thanks! I’d forgotten how packed with interviews that issue was. I couldn’t find anything saying Alan was a control freak .. and given he was the only one who stayed to finish an album with Flood in Berlin whilst the others left for holiday they rather left him to it. Having said that - things were obviously falling apart during the SOFAD era.
When Depeche mode first came out in the late 80s early 90s whatever I couldn't stand that group I couldn't stand it cuz they played the music over and over and over again like they do with all the groups that they want to make it and then something clicked and I started liking what the music industry was calling blue-eyed soul or British funk heavy bass lines guitars keyboards but most of all catchy songwriting lyrics that's what got all those British groups over was the songwriting and the music that went behind it dance disco or dance I really didn't know too much about Depeche mode and then I got obsessed with them when I heard walking in my shoes I straight got obsessed walking in my shoes did something to me spiritually I don't know then I went out and bought every CD that they had produced being a musician myself they're lavish talented the main members that write the songs in that group The songwriting is spiritual they mention God they sing about God and that was another thing that really affected me with them now Alan Wilder from what I understand he does the keyboard arrangements mostly and I guess the drums but they're a synth electronic group so everything's on the keyboards so between Martin Gore Alan Wilder Depeche mode now I don't klnow what happened with Alan Wilder a read a little bit saying that he wasn't appreciated he felt and that's why he left well they all grew up together or whatever or they came from the same place they started out together whatever the case may be they all started out together so some groups do downsize then people go solo some people get out of it whatever I don't know what happened I don't really care I know that they make good music together the division is I'm not trying to promote. they just make good music together so I don't want to get into the politics of why they broke up or why they didn't break or whatever because a lot of groups go to a lot of stress and when they start getting bigger and bigger vanity sets in whatever but all I know is they are all talented musicians that can write songs and the music The melodies in The sound blending in their category of being electronic synth group they're second to none
Judas, wow!!! Please, do it! Would you please be so kind to share the WAV file? May I ask you a question about your recreation? How did you create/sample the "whoosing" sound under "take me in your arms, forgetting all..."?
Depeche Mode is no longer the same without Alan. Back then, his sound was simply unique and no one could replace it. Alan is a sound genius
He was basically DM’s producer, sound architect, music studio and tour arranger and main engineer.
get over yourself. It was 28 years ago. They've moved on; you need to as well
@@ramseysounds2086 Who hurt you?

Es hermosa, bella espectacular que sonidos es una joya de verdad!!! Amo a mi Alan por estos sonidos tan únicos por siempre dm😍😍💋💋❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Always thought the live mix was punchier than the album. Alan Wilder’s work, as I think he was responsible for creating the live multi tracks.
The whole album sounds washed out because it has too much reverb.
@@TheEmpyrean15 Agreed. Nice on the vocals but some of the snare sounds are beyond awful.
@Arturo Clayton You’re right. No one cares.
@@TheEmpyrean15 i think the album version is superior becuase there IS SO MUCH REVERB

Gorgeous! Thank you very much!
Depeche Mode stopped being Depeche Mode the second Alan was bullied out of the band. I blame Andrew.

I Love that sound
Thank... y o u...
This music and the lyrics are great..but discouraging. Like life has a lost purpose
This is ok but Sounds better with lyrics 🙂
So, you can listen the original track once again.
Still one of dms greatest songs of all time
Que sonido más limpio y perfecto, solo Alan podía lograrlo!!!
OH MY GOD! THEY KILLED ALAN! YOU BASTARDS!
Great work! The nowadays live version is unfortunately too slow...some punches missed out :-(
Renew or die... That's simple.
One of my fav. instrumentals by far ... so many feels ; ) thank you!!

A Brief Period Of Rejoicing- Winston Churchill
@@johnnyhawke4672 thanx
Rumalo M it’s actually Daniel Miller imitating Winston Churchill saying the words Johnny so correctly stated above.
@@johnnyhawke4672 don't hear 'OF rejoicing', just hear 'WITHOUT rejoicing'.
A brief period of rejoicing. It's actually Daniel Miller sampled.
Excellent post
Wonderful work... You are a Genius!
thanks, the hardest part was to recreate the bass, next time I will try to make the song Judas
Judas, wow!!! Please, do it! Would you please be so kind to share the WAV file? May I ask you a question about your recreation? How did you create/sample the "whoosing" sound under "take me in your arms, forgetting all..."?
Unfortunately, I can not tell you
It's a secret, you mean? Okay, Secrets are welcome if you go on recreating these masterpieces...! ;-)

Great!!!!
Fuckin A
Can I get the sounds/ samples you're using on this one? Looks like you have original multi track stems.
