I from Malaysia and yes we are in the group of death. We have long time never face Jordan, last time we meet them is 2020 that we lost 4-0 in a friendly match. I'm Brazilian, but if there's something I like in football, is alternative teams(national and clubs) or underdogs.
In Asia, my favorite team for now is Uzbekstan.
A club from their country, Pakhtakor, once reached the Club World Cup final in a game I played, so I kinda got some affection and admiration for them, because another thing I like is clubs from alternative countries doing good in International Championships.(Like Sheriff from Transnistria or Moldova).
Their youth national teams, the sub-17 and sub-20 doing good in 2023's sub-17 and sub-20 WCs, got me to follow their games, and now I'm a little bit of a supporter, although I still like to cheer for all underdogs and alternative teams.

As a Malaysian, here’s my prediction. Malaysia team now with a Korean coach, short term goal is to make it through the group stage to the round of 16 by all means necessary. No doubt on that. Since that’s the case, Malaysia team will actually focus on achieving 2nd place in the group, to avoid a certain death or pre-K.O.ed with facing Japan in the next knockout stage of 16. That would be the mid-term goal. It’s a very realistic and achievable goal, as Malaysia at least has the abilities, potentials and capabilities to edge both Jordan and Bahrain with 1 goal difference. The chances are 50:50 or 40:60. Should Malaysia succeed in doing so, then Malaysia will have better chances of making upset against S.Arabia or Uzbekistan in the knockout stage and proceed further😎✊
That’s my opinion, as S.Arabia recently cancelled our planned international friendly match before the upcoming Asian Cup, as rumor has it that Mancini foresaw or predicted that his team might have the chance/probability of facing Malaysia team in the knockout stage. That’s an interesting take😊

I thought nobody know about malaysian football improvement.. but many predictions said they would pass the group stage. Group E is really interesting to watch, especially if korea have a downfall by losing their touch.. anybody in that group can pass 😅
I'm Indonesian. tbh I'm hoping at least qualified even with 3rd place.. but yeah we're grouped with Vietnam and Iraq on WCQ already, even though not playing Vietnam yet, based on Iraq game we didn't have tidy gameplay. PLUS we couldn't take points from Philippines already showing that.. this team isn't ready yet.
4th place (although that means not qualified) with less goal conceded already good enough imo, bcs not only we don't have tidy gameplay yet, but we also have almost no experience outside our own country.. mostly friendlies were held in Indonesia and the players don't have mentality yet to perform outside. idk if all of sudden those naturalised mixed blood players can carry up the team, conceded only 6 or less goals already good enough
