I am so thankful you brought up Escada Casual Friday. I blind bought this in the late 90’s when I worked retail and I still think about that fragrance till this very day. I so wish I had that bottle. Thanks for the recommendation on something that will get me close.

I'm surprised you didn't toss in Mugler pure malt, and Star Man Nebula.. Just got it the other day and am really enjoying it so far.
The ALTERNATIVE for Midnight in Paris was Bvlgari Black Unisex [hockey puck]...It was UBER cheap as well but it has been discontinued TOO.
I thankfully still have my Midnight in Paris, and only wear it very sparingly. It also looks spectacular on my display stand. That being said, I do have Luna Rossa Black, and you're right, its scent is quite close to Midnight in Paris! Nice!

Attitude extreme was my first perfume. Gifted by my mom.
It’s been a looong time but when I tried daarej it kind of reminded me of it. But I can’t really remember the scent too much. I will defo get givenchy gentlement !!
midnight in paris is great.. if you layer PI with l'homme ideal, you may get that benzoin+tonka+almond+leather ... i never tried it but i can see it working

Joop nightlight is my most missed fragrance. Jaguar Classic smells similar for a few minutes then it's gone
Probably not many remember Helmut Lang Eau de Cologne for Men (2000) but it was a really unique Summer fragrance. Only have about half a bottle left and never found anything that remotely comes close to it. Would love to get a backup, but they're going for $300+ now

You have to look a bit into the German brand Eclat. They really have some amazing 1:1 clones, also of discontinued fragrances. It can be a little challange to know what they are a clone of (all in same bottles, but different numbers) Trust me, they are worth it.
my best replacement for Gucci envy is Ministry of Oud. Oud Royal.... more so on the dry down... its a clone of Royal Oud by Creed...I would highly suggest it to you. or any one who wants a hint of Gucci envy on a dry down.

Prada Luna Rossa Black kinda resembles it. My opinion it is the closest to MidNight in Paris.

Givenchy Very Irresistible was my introduction to gourmands back in the early 2000s. I used to love it and was willing to pay whatever just to have it again. Thankful Catalina Herrera Bad Boy EDP smells just like it from what I remember

Zara vibrant leather is the closest one to Armani Attitude but it lacks projection and longevity. It's a Zara afterall, but if you miss the AA it's worth it; and it's cheap

Guys I flopped bad. I found a bottle of Midnight in Paris 2 years ago at a yardsale for like 10$ and I bought it for my sister (I was not a Fragrance head back then) it was brand new and it broke when it was dropped. Rip
Be careful with maxaroma , but “new” bottle of Mancera wave musk , batch code was 3 years old , yeah I know , sealed , shouldn’t have a problem, but with some “freshie” shelf life shorter just thought it wouldn’t be already vintage 😂

Parfums Vintage makes a Midnight in Paris clone named Superbious it’s pricey though $89 for 50 ml and $139 for 100 ml or $6.00 for a sample.
The original Armani Attitude was dynamite. Tried and failed for years to get something close to it.

Armani Attitude Extreme is to this very day my favorite fragrance, my first signature fragrance. And no, those are not just memories! I can´t get over it being discontinued, never will. Sorry, nothing smells even close to Attitude Extreme and neither does Gentleman Réserve Privée - not even in the same ballpark.

U showed us Man in Black, and apparently to my knowledge that is still available, whereas the similarly sounding Black is the one discontinued. I have no idea why midnight in Paris was discountinued. It was such a masterpiece. I wish it gets revived, maybe under a different name and different price tag. But I wish!
I messaged Van Cleef & Arpel and they told me that it wasn't selling unfortunately.
@@Mooljim I'm sure it got overlooked by so many people because of the price, and the fragrance community on the social media wasn't as strong back then to really put it on a piedestal. It was such a bargain. I miss it really. One of the best fragrances ever made.
