StarliteJem Oh you were lucky enough to get a tape from the 'Stars' and 'Wild' that is Sunbow's music department? Nice. :) Seriously, you should work for La La Land Records at least and put out a proper CD release of the Jem soundtrack, fans would love that. :)
StarliteJem Oh there are to blame for raiding the Wild Stars of Sunbow then? :D Or acquired them from Hasbro directly. Either way, that's interesting to hear. :)
Fantastic job on this, the background vocals really shine now. If I remember correctly, this is the only Jem song to feature both the Jem/Pizzazz singing AND speaking voices in one song.
That was my first guess because the voices sound so familiar, but it's not entirely true. The songs were recorded in New York and the voices in LA. So the speaking parts are the singers too, Britta and Ellen. After all it would've been more work and more budget back then to record the speaking voices separately and cut them into the song.
No way! I knew the speaking/singing was done separately, and wondered why they would spring for the extra expense to insert Samantha and Patricia's lines into a song when they wouldn't even pay for a second singer on I'm Okay. Pretty uncanny voice work by Britta and Ellen to sound like their speaking counterparts. With Ellen I'm not surprised, her voice is crazy versatile.
Thank goodness for dolls with cassette tapes. :D
Yeah, but this 'tape' wasn't with the dolls :)

+David315842 A friend of mine got his hands on some
'long lost' masters.

Are we talking about TheMitigating and his Master Jem Tapes or Reels that he acquired :-)

+jasonfinley235 Just so you know, I'm Okay is actually sung by two different people.
+M Rayside no it isn't.
StarliteJem
Really? I thought that Florence Warner was Kimber, while Lani Groves was Stormer.
Although it is not my favorite song, sounds uncredible and I'm happy to have all of them in this way. Great job!!
It starts being all mellow then boom!
The increible great and powerful 80's sounds.... nothing like Jem
Thanks !!!
Dommage que les chansons de la série n'aient pas été adaptées en français...
