- My first vlog for a couple of months, takes us to my 30-acre Lincoln syndicate where I've been grafting away in the harsh weather conditions, trying to get amongst its impressive carp stock. The film includes UK carp over 40lb, plenty of on-the-bank chat, a few moans, stunning scenery and an insight into some new bits of kit.

Lovely video Simon, yep I've had it at 6 am too, on a day ticket water where the swims were pea gravel, I was woke up to someone moving it around with their feet to wake me, I jumped out the bivvy and a guy said "what time you off" there was a few choice words after that

Top vlog as ever Crowy (I still prefer it when you were in print back in the early 90s on Birch ...one from under the ice etc)...as for the etiquette...No way would they be getting an apology...more likely a mug full of pish thrown on them...so ..in short..I preferred the level of etiquette back then too.👌👌

Great vlog as always. I’d say if someone’s in their bivvy don’t disturb at any time of day. If they’re up and about and say hello it’s ok to stop for a chat, if they want to

Some nice fish there simon. Ive had the same thing with somone shaking my bivvy at 7 in the morning and asking if im leaving that day.They got told to do one in no polite way possible.Then asked me if im ok cause i seemed grumpy.
Sounds like my wife…she always calls me grumpy 🤣
6am is a liberty. Unless you're up an they can see you. I'd say 9ish is about right.

Si to right👍 I can remember being on a certain cheshire boating lake and a guy walked into the swim a couple of us were fishing at first light, 5am...His first words out of his mouth were "wen you going lads" 😮 surfice to say he got a frosty response😡 🔔 end.

in my opinion it does not matter what time it is if your inside bivvy keep away if your outside wait fo a nod or a morning before bothering anyone but 6am is a piss take
Having spent a quite a long period out of the game one thing that has been glaring obvious to me is that carp anglers etiquette is no longer a thing. When did this happen..?
6am is out of order I would of told them to F off aswell they need to have respect. Some good fish there wow well done 🎣

If they don't know your awake anytime is out of order, people work nights or stay up to listen to fish etc. It's about respecting peoples personal space...

Always the best vlogs, I remember loosing it big time at 5:30am with another angler wanting to cast over my lines, couldn't even open my eyes but he got a fair amount of mouthful of verbal and disappeared 😂

Hell, even if I'd got the biggun in the net and I needed a photographer I'd have my reservations about going into someone I didn't know's swim before 9AM out of basic politeness. I'm not a morning person, I know what it's like, I'll help anyone who needs a hand without too much grumbling but expect death stares if you just want a chat before I've had my second cup of coffee

No mate i agree totally, i hate it when people wandering who i dont even know you can be zipped up letterbox style and they still wake you up,they get the same response fair enough if your outside your bivvy ,i never bother anyone unless i see them outside then i dont always talk unless i know them,its really rude i think aswel.
