Looked like you had a great time, lots of beautiful dolls, thanks for sharing your doll show, loved it ❤ that was a cute picture of you and the members, it seemed like the ladies liked you and you’re cute bubbly personality ❤
im crying in Australian right now! this is such an overload of iso's In Australia doll meets like this are super rare and usually exclusive, just saw so many of my iso list in this video for insane prices Moving to America xD I loved seeing some of the vendors talking about the dolls- also love you and your friend chatting inbetween youre such a doll encyclopedia its so cool watching you identify things in miliseconds
2:18 Oh, that's a surprise! Susi is a brazilian doll that came out in Brasil before Barbie was sold here. She come out in the mid 60's while Barbie only started being sold in 80's. My mom actually never had a Barbie growing up, Susi is her childhood doll! Susi also had a boyfriend named Beto, who was inspired by Roberto Carlos, a famous brazilian singer from that era.
Not me being the most annoying person ever in the background lmao aw I had so much fun, thank you for taking me along and being so sweet! I hope we're able to meet at the next one! 💗 Btw not me being wrong about absolutely everything 💀
Annoying how?? I was surprised watching back because I thought we talked a lot more ON camera… I still don’t know how to compute multiple people throughout a video it seems 😭
@@xCanadensisI didnt realize how much I screamed out of excitement?? Lmao I’m still not done with the video but I had so much fun and I’m so happy you took me along 🥺🫶🏻
I enjoyed hearing and seeing you. Doll joy is better when shared. Also, it’s nice for me, who was born in the 70s, to see younger collectors enjoying dolls from past decades. I’m sure some of the senior sellers there felt like that too. 😀
Great haul! I loved the show so much! The story behind your Tiffany Taylor is so sweet! Stuff like that makes dolls extra special! I love her, your World of Love Doll, and Jody (I was looking at her too) the most! I love the commercial for Jody. 😊 There were so many incredibly nice people at that show! I feel like that show catered more to the kind of dolls I'm interested in. I think it's a good balance with the other shows too. It was so much fun getting to see so many doll collectors again and meet new ones.
I was at this show! I actually spotted myself in the background! It’s funny to watch because I can tell you got there earlier, but when you go back the Kellys, the ones I bought are gone. The Rapunzel Kellys are weird because some have 2 variations. The Angel has a brown & dark red haired version, & the peacock has a short & long haired version. It’s surprising to see so much excitement over the “lemon head” Kellys, I remember them being very disliked when they first came out. It really was a great show! So many great doll finds!
The Nutcracker Snow Fairy and Rapunzel Angel Princess Kelly’s are either reissues or left over stock from the original line from each respective movie. Fantasy Tales (also known as Princess collection) mainly focused on a more budget friendly alternative to the main movie lines, and it came out in 2003-2004, right before Princess and the Pauper. Especially hard on the budget friendly in this case since the Kelly’s in general are on the cheaper compared to making the full scaled Barbie’s and Ken’s - ESPECIALLY poor Ken as he only got one doll in that line that was meant to be shared with Clara, Odette and Rapunzel. Someone on that design team didn’t care that he absolutely did not look like any of the three different looking princes from the movies 😂 such fun finds!
the movie kelly dolls are in fact from a rerelease line in 2003 and 2004! they released budget versions of dolls from nutcracker, swan lake, and rapunzel alongside some new kelly dolls
@@strwbrysodaayes!! They rereleased one dress from the original fashion packs per movie, along side a newly introduced wedding dress intended for Clara, Odette and Rapunzel (funny that she actually had a wedding dress in the movie, and the fashion pack looks nothing like it aha). The play sets are all original to Fantasy Tales/Princess Collection, as far as I can remember :)
So much Kelly goodness, I'd have gone crazy for these! They are called Shelly in Europe. Those newer head molds are called 'lemon heads' by some collectors 😅
LOL, it's so hard to watch, and not get grabby hands for all the dolls we don't see very often over here in the UK. FYI, I got both my Twiggys from Japan...or rather one Twiggy and a minty Twiggy head, but finding her a body has been so difficult... And I finally succumbed to Poppy Parker just last week... then she needed a friend (my dolls always need a friend if they're going to stay...), so I now have 2. LOL, you mentioned Kozmic Kiddles - my husband had those when he was a kid - we're that old! I'm just loving that you're moving in to dolls more from my era, but it does make me jealous of the availability over there! 🥰 Oh and I think Teen Skipper's friend is called either Courtney or Nikki, I think..?
i believe that doll at 1:13:52 is from the teen skipper era, she looks like one of the friend characters (nikki to be more specific) rebodied onto a straight-armed twist n turn body
Dollect is voluntary and I don’t really seek people out to add things. It’s meant to be like Wikipedia, anyone can come in and contribute what they like. Not honestly sure what a jester doll is :(
2:18 OMG finally! I've wondered if Susi would ever make an appearance on this channel haha this was the doll that was made in Brazil to "compete" with Barbie, they had a lot of cool editions for her, the one I remember the most from my childhood was the swim class one. I heard that Susi has been released in the USA as "Tammy" or something like that! Amazing!
I love this video 💙 Btw, Rock Flowers are the same height as Dawn, World of Love would be a quite a bit bigger than them. The only reason I know that is because I thrifted Heather from Rock Flowers. She is one of the most sentimental dolls in my collection 🥺
This took me back to the 90’s doll shows I used to attend in my town. They are no longer. I remember getting my first Heidi Ott doll there and wanting Magic Attic dolls. I did eventually get some. I’m so glad you filmed so much of it. I recognized one of the “grocery store” dolls. I still have her pink bow but the doll and dress are gone. So nostalgic.
The Kelly doll sweetsville were really Not Popular with the then Kelly collecting folks, the teacup kellys you really liked (sorry I'm not done with the vid yet so not sure if you got them) were rare to find, and they came in both Klassic Kelly and Lemonhead (which was the nickname the collectors gave the Sweetsville range) Some really nice finds in that lot, I collect Kelly - or Shelly as she's known over here in the UK, where ofc we got a vastly smaller selection. The Lemonheads marked the time that Mattel started to move away from Klassic Kelly (the cute toddler look) and thenn went on the change her name to Chelsea, and her body to the taller version, which of course led to the moulded on clothes which, frankly, me and a lot of other collectors absolutely dislike because we grew up with dolls where all the clothes were interchangeable. The Nineties and Two Thousands were the absolute heyday of Kelly and friends, with numerous outfits and sets that we just so cute. Loving the video, so many lovely dolls. It's years since I went to a doll fayre anywhere here.
5:15 I think that might be a Venessa(Ursula) in her wedding dress. That is what she is reminding me of, at least. Especially when you said she had purple eyes. Then again I am likely wrong because I don't know much about Disney dolls, and that one looks like she is porcelain. She is gorgeous, though.
I used to watch Rose petal Place when I was a kid so that’s a pretty doll and it was fun watching you a shop with your friend. Do you have gym in the holograms or what 80s dolls do you have cause I have two gem dolls but that’s the only ones I have maybe my Barbies are from the well. I have a peaches and cream doll, but it’s not the one that I had one as a kid 1:09:45 10:35 AM 1:09:45
42:03 this makes so much sense bc when i was a child aournd 2010's era i saw many similar toys. they were simply puff balls in various colors and had felt feet and googly eyes glued on. i remember a particular one very vividly, it was deep blue, sat on someone's desk at a planetarium and i really wanted to have it.
Oh my god that green lion plushie freak just reminded me of this horrible deer plushie my grandma used to have... It was super stiff and hard and made of brown felt with some kind of wire armature inside and it had a horrible little beak mouth and on one side it had a woven basket full of felt roses... It must have been like 40 or 50 years old. I miss it so bad but i think one of my aunts took him when my grandma passed and her house was sold
