Stop saying she is underrated, she won. She's 50 and leading a show that got everyone's attention and I do not know of anyone who does not know who Jennifer Aniston is.
Well I think they mean it in terms of work. Of course she has a star power and she is very famous but I think they meant that so many people see her as a celebrity and pretty face and they don't acknowledge how good of an actress she is. Similar case for me as Scarlett Johansson.
Everyone seems to keep looking at her as Rachel from friends and just won’t let her get into different things so it’s really nice that she got an award for something else than friends
She created her own work opportunity with Reese Witherspoon. These women have taken the reins over their careers. By individually creating their own production company and working their social network. Her winning this award at 50 in an industry that counts out women in their early 40s is huge. This is big on so many levels.
And her comment in the beginning of her speech about dreaming about getting out of that house is so nice to hear, that she managed to carve out a life for herself that made her happy, and that growing up in an emotionally abusive home didn’t break her down, but instead she pushed through it.
And if we pay attention to society’s hyper fixation on Jennifer Aniston’s vomb, male partners, and her sex appeal...it’s not off to state that she has been underrated in terms of her acting abilities by society AND the entertainment industry considering she has been cast as Adam Sandler’s ”side sexy piece of meat” for well over a decade now. And she has had much more within her acting range than to simply having majority of her roles being ”the girlfriend”. I remember reading literal articles about her dang nipples...what’s wrong with people?! And it was presented as such a normal thing without one regard of the what actual disgusting objectification of her it was....and still is!
Shes still very underrated in terms of performances people tend to overlook. The Good Girl,Friends With Money,Cake.
Shes on TV? When did she stop doing movies? Oh well ,couldn't care to see her in anything anyway not even were the millers

She's excellent in Cake too, but the movie itself it isn't so good. It's a movie that if it wasn't for Jennifer's performance, probably it wouldn't even be remembered. "The Morning Show" is a incredible show, with a great story, and of course, awesome performances. And at least for me, her performance in "The Morning Show" is a little better than in Cake.
And The Good Girl was released in 2002, when Friends was still on air. And like I said: it was her best performance and her best work since Friends ended.

Some people thinks it's underrated because not everybody has access to apple tv. But personally, don't get me wrong as I love TMS and hugely admires Jennifer Aniston, I think it's actually pretty great of a deal especially since as i have said, not all have access to apple tv yet a lot watches and loves the show.

Her performance and everyone else, like Steve Carell and Billy Crudup truly make that show one of the best. Also it's the 20th century, you can stream that show for free even without AppleTV subscription, just saying. :)

And it's sad bc some shows on less popular and less accessed paid streaming devices are more deserving of the bop that is given to some netflix shows. Oh well. Maybe it's just for me :)
I am here, after I watched Brad Pitt while he was watching Jen speech at Tv backstage!
She was phenomenal in every second of every episode of season 1. I thought she was only good at comedy. She was perfect as Alex. My most fav scene is where she is being fired by the board of directors and then she tells them this is going to be my way. I can watch it over and over again.
Comedy is actually harder. It's all about timing and so many other things, doing a straight drama is much easier. But the lady has talent, and 25 years after the show that made her famous began, she's still turning in great work! I'm so happy for her!!
