I have to say this 4K remaster and overall grade is the definitive look for these films--I genuinely can't get into the Blurays as much with the extremely saturated grades and downright muddled BOTFA scenes. But this 4K was spectacular.
@@GedSmyth I just watched all 6 films over the last few weeks. I can't believe how much the 4K bluray improved the movies. Honestly, it's like watching the movies again for the first time.
Looks brand new, the HDR makes the gold in the mountain in part 2 look golden again, the escape on the river looks awesome and the battle of the five armies feels exciting. Huge improvement over the bluray
Love that this isn't a simple scale up to 4k (cash grab) and Peter put some love into it to make sure it looks stunning.

Ya that 4K remaster brought them together really well. And now we have ‘the ring of power series’. I may do a post 4 episode live about it.
Sees less than 900 views, doesn’t expect a quality review, gets proven wrong, gives a thumbs up
I appreciate the kind words. Cheers and thanks for watching.
I got both trilogies on eBay for 90. So it was a steal for me.
Enjoy every moment of this series. It was re mastered so well!!!

Much better job with the CGI in the 4K transfer.
Agreed. The while thing was coloured so well
@@GedSmyth Yes, it has a much more balanced saturation
It is actually like $90 but because pre orders there is no stock
