Thank you Pastor Brian! Eyes up! Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Acts 16:31 "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Colossians 1:14 "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:" Salvation is obtained by simply believing in Jesus' death (Blood sacrifice), burial and resurrection for payment of all your sins, past, present and future.

Not hard to understand, Revelation ch6:16... The wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come….
Why would Yeshua pour out His wrath on His bride or His body?
That is why we will be snatched out of this world. If people can not see this it is sad!

    2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV
[16] All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, [17] that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
Here we are reminded to be good Bereans. Understanding we need the whole counsel of God, even when sometimes it's difficult.

Hi Pastor. I do agree there are many holes in all 3 rapture views. I used to be in the pre-trib camp, but switched my view to post-tribulation rapture for two reasons:
    1) The first is that this verse was specifically written to the church in Philadelphia, which did in fact undergo an hour of trial during the ten historical waves of Roman persecution throughout the first century. Many in the church at Philadelphia died from that persecution, but the church still managed to get through that difficult season. To suggest the removal of the entire body of Christ from a future antichristal persecution, when the very church to whom the promise was given was not removed, but endured severe persecution, seems highly irregular. The second more perplexing problem addresses the choice of the Greek word, "tereo," interpreted "to keep": “I also will keep (Gk. “tereo”) you from the hour of trial...” (Rev 3:10). If John intended to communicate a removal from the trial, he would have used the Greek word "airo," translated elsewhere as "take out or remove." Instead, he uses the word “tereo,” which means “to keep”-not remove! Both Greek words actually present themselves next to each other in Jn. 17:15, where John, the same author who wrote Rev. 3:10, writes, "I do not pray that You should ‘take them out’ (Gk. “airo”-to remove) of this world, but that You should 'keep' (Gk. “tereo”-to keep) them from the evil one" (Jn. 17:15). Rather than "remove the Church,” Jesus promised to keep or “preserve” the church during the difficult days ahead. To preserve doesn’t mean that souls wouldn’t die during the persecution, but that the Church would get through it victoriously without compromise. This theme of preservation runs deep throughout the rest of the Bible and Scripture. Rather than remove Noah from the earth during the flood, God kept Noah by enabling his family to endure (go through) the flood (Heb. 11:7). Rather than remove the three Hebrews from the fiery furnace, the Lord shielded them to endure (and go through) the heat from the flames (Dan. 3:25). God could have removed Daniel from the lion's den, but instead chose to close the mouth of the lions (as Daniel went through the lion’s den) (Dan. 6:23). Rather than remove the Israelites from the desert, God had them go through the wilderness. In Acts 4:29-30, the disciples did not ask that the persecution be taken away, but that God would grant them fresh boldness to preach through the persecution. Jesus' very prayer in John 17 echoes the same theme-"I do not pray that You should take them out of this world, but that You should keep them from the evil one." Why would God suddenly change one of His timeless principles that transcends both Old and New Testaments?
    2) There is no such thing as a 7 year tribulation period. Revelation mentions a 3 1/2 year tribulation period 5 times Daniel mentions it once. So if I were to read the bible cover to cover and then asked "how long is the tribulation period," what would I say? Three and a half years. Why? Because that's what the bible says. The most common teaching of Daniels 70 week prophecy has some bad math and has nothing to do with a 7 year tribulation period once studied correctly. Just my two cents. God bless.

great sermon today Brian thank you. i do have a question though not releated if thats ok. i have been reading the old testament for perhaps the first time in my enitre life ( i was told very young to concentrate on the new testament) and so thats how it was for the first 50 odd years. Anyway, in Dueteronomy Mosses sounds like a mad man, talking about killing and stoning others and so on and so forth and i am just stund by it. Godsmacked is probably the best word since i had no idea there was so much violence in that book. I do know that jesus came with a new covenant thank God but why did moses say those things and why dient the early writers take that out since anyone reading it would surly be turned off by it? i will continue to read the old testament regardless since there is tons of incredible insight into the comming of Christ jesus and how to live and so on and so forth. i can hardly wait though to get back to the new testament again i have to be honest. You are a well versed man who has studied the word for years and probably have the answer i am looking for here so i await with anxious ears. In the end, God/Jesus and the word ( the bible) IS the final word for me and that will never change. Just that i have still many burning questions to ask being a fairly new christian ( goin on 7 years now). thank you man, ps i have been listening to Elvis continuously lately and forgot just how good his 70's songs truly were, not too mention his 50's and 60's love ballads including perhaps the greatest gospel albums of all time. i used to do Elvis as well as lennon in liverpool- Bealtemania way back when so they still hold a special place in my heart. i have to add NO sex, drugs or rock and roll though for me anymore, not playing or listening. The lord put this on my heart 7 years ago. Anwyay, thank you brother Brian, glen

Hi Pastor Brian. Matthew 24:22 .. do you believe the generation that will see the budding of the fig tree is the generation that saw israel become a nation in the 1940’s. Or could it be a propecy fulfilled when the last temple was pulled down?

My personal take on the 7 churches:
The seven churches are just that, churches. All had some non-believers in them with the exception of the Philadelphia church. The Philadelphia church which has "an open door that know one can shut." Rev.3:8. They represent end time believers that will be raptured.
At the other end of the spectrum is the Laodicean's church that has to hear Christ's voice and "open the door" (Be Born Again) so that Jesus can "come into him" and will 'sup' with him.
But the KEYWORD, and this is given to ALL 7 churches, is OVERCOMETH. Everyone who OVERCOMETH at the time of the rapture will be CAUGHT UP.
John gives us the definition for the OVERCOMER in 1 John 5:4-5: "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?" Shalom...

Revelation 2 & 3 Jesus says overcomth seven times
Jesus says this every time before He mentions any rewards
The rewards are for the Saints that overcome the mark of the beast
Revelation 7 14 the Saints get White robes
Revelation 20 4 the Saints get the thousand year reign
The church doesn't have one Bible verse that promised them White robes or the thousand year reign
Mystery Babylon added the church to the thousand year reign without one Bible verse that supports it
The church rapture is at judgement day
      John 6 39 40 44 54
Jesus says at the LAST DAY four times
Jesus is always truth. Keep the faith

There was a fulfillment of the book of Revelation at 70AD all prophecy was completed, but that was the introduction of the new heavens and earth a new and better covenant with its everlasting blessings the kingdom of God
Rev 21:1 ISV Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, because the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and the sea was gone.
Rev 21:24 ISV The nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.
The nations have the opportunity to walk in the light, when they enter his kingdom a spiritual kingdom by faith
Joh 1:9 ISV This was the true light that enlightens every person by his coming into the world.

Historically, Rev. 2 & 3 are addressed to the seven local churches in Asia Minor around 90 AD. Doctrinally, they're addressed to the local churches in the Tribulation period.

Rev 3:10 is addressed to the church before the Tribulation. To all the the churches, Jesus first speaks in the present tense then switches to the future tense. This is particularly indicative of the church of Philadelphia. Brian is correct in his analysis.
3:10 is a very clear reference to the Rapture.

Wrong- you are way off friend. The church is removed because it’s a promise from our Lord. You can’t change what he said. Whatever our dwelling places will be , they will far outshine any earthly mansion, call it whatever you want.
Try not to dumb down God’s promises. Many people are trying to do that
