Though I have another theory since I have read the Cinderella story, just because Cinderella in the rise of red seemed to accept the punishment that her stepmother gave her in the actual story Cinderella had a habit of disobeying what her stepmother said to her when the stepmother wouldn't allow her to go to the ball in the actual story she went anyway completely disregarding what her step mother told her in the sequel it could happen that Elle did the same thing which then would have still led to cholie still have the same parent and actually Maleficent and hades didn't hook up until the were rounded up on the isle of the lost so I doubt anything would change about the history that had already been written. But think back to what Maddox warned red that messing with the past could cause her to lose her mother. Which in that movie, she lost the mother she had of course when Maddox had warned red about that she told him that she couldn't careless.
Also, the rise of red descendants' movies doesn't really make all that much sense considering that anyone who actually read the books know that the queen of hearts since she was the villain of the story Alice in wonderland one of Disney's classics would have ended up on the isle of the lost. And her daughter, according to the second book in the series, was quin not red. Again, the storyline of this movie made no sense what so ever.
My biggest confusion about this movie is how did the VKs use the book in the original timeline? If there was a spell on it does this mean that in original timeline there was no spell on the evil cooking books thus allowing the VK to prank Bridget it just doesn’t make sense
A theory suggest they somehow used Ella ( young Cinderella) to open the book...

My favorite character from descendants 4 was actually Red herself, and my opinion on the 4th movie is, well I can’t even describe it in words! It’s so phenomenal in so many ways it’s more then just phenomenal!!!

i feel like the reasson why the queen of hearts dress isnt full pink bc she might be a little rude like the original time line and that the prank still happend just not at castle coming so its not that embarresing and i feel like uliana took control of ella at castle coming and in the new time line bc cindie wasnt in the castle coming she might not have opened it or my my red dress theory could also happen
I have another theory for the next movie . Maybe we could see Chad and reds dad maybe something happened and a portal opens and take Chloe red and Chad back in time but instead of going back they go into the future and see Cinderella being evil and they try to figure out what happened and we see repunzels daughter then she tells them the whole story of what happened so because Chloe and red went back in time something got nest up and made Cinderella evil and everybody in wonderland got locked up and fairy god mother tried to talk to her but Cinderella locked her up too and all the people in aradon where hiding so Chloe tried to talk to her mother to get her to stop and reminded her to always be a good person but Cinderella didn’t listen and locked her up and red and Chad make a plan to free her and they find uma and tell her to help them and tell them what’s going on where are they uma explains then red try to find her dad to help them red does not remember much about him but all she remembers is her mom telling them that he is dangerous they find him and red is surprised to see him then Chad thinks that he can distract the guards while red frees Chloe and then they find a portal but they just remember Chad and they go save him they go back to the portal and go back home and try to prevent Cinderella turning evil. i wanna throw this out there as an idea for the Descendants-verse.
Descendants 4.5 where we have a limited animated series of Red and Chloe finally figuring out what changed in the present due to their ripple in time to bridge the gap, leading up to Descendants 5.
Descendants 5 be dubbed as "Rise of Red 2" or "Blue's Uprising" where Chloe finds out from her mother Ella (Cinderella) what happened at CastleComing after the VK's got caught. Chloe undergoes a subtle character change with her becoming a pseudo-antagonist of the film. Red realize she didn't change that much from the time ripple but notices Chloe's change closer to a VK and must figure out how to keep things as is while trying to figure out how to save Chloe from becoming someone completely unlike her original.
Ending-wise, I'd like to imagine Red coming to terms with her mother as she got to live with and see what a "kinder and nicer" Queen of Hearts be like. reluctant, Red goes back in time to fix what she and Chloe had done, allowing the original plan of prank to go through. Red goes back to the present and accepts her mother as the original Queen of Hearts, knowing there is actually a heart under all that meanness.
The movie blew my expectations, it's absolutely amazing and the idea of a sequel is so exciting. Red was my favorite character, and the way the writers explore her relationship with her mother tugged at my heartstrings. I also loved how both Chloe and Red discovered their moms were so diferent from their present versions.
My question is how did the villions in the past open the book because it was cursed and if you didnt have a pure hearth you get frozen so how did they open the magic book thats my question ?
Maybe they tricked or threatened Ella?

I don’t think the theory is correct cuz merlin won’t just leave the vk frozen for an eternity. He isn’t even a villain, and even if he did his death will unlock the spell. And Cinderella couldn’t have went to the castle coming by sneaking out the house without the stepmom realising.

I love this movie, although it left me with a lot of theories and quams like did the queen hearts really kill off Cinderella. All we saw were the glass slippers getting smashed in the looking glass. I found that very misleading. My favorite character was definitely Red because all she wanted was to be loved, not feared she wanted to stop the coup, and save anyone from an untimely death and demise

Descendants Rise of Red Movie was awesome. I watched the movie more than once. The sequel will also rocks as soon as they figure the storyline for it. If they go with make Chloe Charming evil after time traveling would be a big mistake and wouldn't make any sense.

So here's what I think is going to happen in the part 2 of descendants the rise of red because I think that they messed up that they left something behind like the cookbook or the pocket watch because if they leave the pocket watch behind they they can like mess up the fabric of time yeah because if they both wanted the Queen of Hearts to stop the crew from happening and also they don't want Cinderella off with her head also like in the beginning it's actually a spoiler for the people that didn't watch the movie at Maddox had I said even though it's to mix up the if you change something for the better they're still going to be consequences for that
