One of the schools that Cassie attended was involved in a shooting that occurred 11.4 years after her first major television program aired. Cassie's first major television series was not Make It or Break It; it was actually Dance Revolution, which was a E/I-compliant reality television show that aired on CBS' Saturday morning block between September 2006 and May 2007. Between September 2006 and September 2013, DIC (later Cookie Jar) was responsible for programming that block, having took over from Nickelodeon (who held the contract since September 2000) after Viacom announced the shutdown of The WB and UPN in January of that year. The first 3 seasons of the block were sponsored by AOL (season 1) and American Greetings (seasons 2 and 3), with Cassie's group, the Slumber Party Girls, performing video interstitials in the first season. In September 2013, Litton Entertainment (which began producing a block that replaced ABC Kids in September 2011) began programming the Saturday morning block for CBS; it would later add two other blocks for The CW and NBC between September 2014 and September 2016. Litton now holds a monopoly on E/I-compliant television programs in the United States.
