Sounds like you guys had a great time !That is what me and my wife do every time we visit we buy school supplies and hand them out, ESPECIALLY the brightly colored ones. You will rarely see items in West Africa like pencils with bright designs, coloring books with Disney characters , brightly colored erasers and sharpeners and when you do they are priced ridiculously high . Believe me those kids have never owned anything like that and will treasure those items! It is almost sad to see how appreciative they are because the typical kid in America wouldn't get excited over any of this stuff !
Yes we couldn’t leave the salon till the rain calmed down. The storm reminded me of the hurricanes we use to go through in Florida. We finally got to meet our sister and brother aka the Blair’s 🎉🎉🎉🎉
There’s a lot of hotels and apartments. Five stars hotels To explore and choose from it all depends on what you plan on doing,a lot people wont to go exploring so many different places,is safe and people are lovely
That’s it you own a house and you will never have to pay any mortgage , also it feels good to be able to go back and forth for whatever reason between the states and Ghana
Ghanaian family members will introduce you to people, food and experiences that "tourists" are not exposed to. Consider yourself blessed! I am fortunate to have local family members show me the ropes in Nigeria and the experiences are above and beyond expectations. Africa, the Motherland is truly the "Garden of Eden". You'll soon realize that the philosophy in the West of "living to work" is what's killing our spirits and physical beings. The Almighty Creator meant for us to "work to live". I commend you on your move to Ghana and the immeasurable benefits you will reap from this move. Live and Enjoy Life!
The traffic? That's why everyone says it takes 3 hrs to travel from Accra to Elmina/Asebu. Looking at the area on Google Maps, the distance is not a 3 hr distance. I realized that the route can't be traveled 55-75 mph like here in the states. First, it's an extremely snaking route and second, while adequate, the road infrastructure and civil engineering is not very good. With no traffic signals and all drivers doing their own thing, well there it is. It's a day trip to go from Elmina to Accra. May as well make it a weekend trip. Stay overnight and rest up for the trip back. Thanks for sharing! As usual, a nice talk. Sharing the Ghana soil in little bottles was a nice gesture!
I'm soooo happy for you guys, you have no idea...I'm in the area so I might take a look at your house....hopefully, I can get mine started before I leave.
I’m glad y’all enjoyed yourselves! I agree, I just want to enjoy myself, because, I’m going to be building!❤️✊🏽I’m coming when there is no raining season❤! What size is your land, I’m going to get 4 plots, you have a cute voice, I noticed
New subscriber! Found your channel a few days ago and l really enjoy watching the process of your home being built along with your excursions out and about. I'm also subscribed to Ms Karen's channel, Karen in Ghana. I saw in one of your videos where you met her. I'm preparing to go Ghana in the Summer of 2024. I really want to build there as well. I can feel through the videos so much freedom and no stress. I live in Los Angeles and I'm ready to leave it. I was going to move to Vegas because I have family there but It's not a feeling of freedom like Ghana. I have a question, can you have a pool put in your back yard? I remember hearing Ms Karen say the area she lives in was waterlogged. With that heat, I'd have to have a pool. I'm sure it's hotter than AZ and NV.
I’ll be visiting Ohiaba in Spring 2024. 😇 I’m not sure how close that is to your home in the PAV. What airline do you usually use, and are your flights uncomfortable, or not? Because I need to be able to stretch my legs. 😊 Guurl! Let your husband share the conversation. 😂❤ He’s side eyeing 😒you lol.
Hi Blairs...what was the name of the museum that you went to that had the hand-crafted items? I'm interested cause when I travel there I would love to buy some items to bring back to America!!! Africa has the most beautiful items to buy...I love wood and stones...very hard to find....You guys are very informative with your videos...great to see you guys back ...keep the videos coming
What airline did y’all fly on? The cost for flighting has skyrocketed. I have several pair rain booths. From my previous trip to Ghana while there I kept rain boots in the car.
If you want to reduce the airfare, fly through Toronto. Take Air France or KLM or British Airways to Accra with a stop over in Paris, Amsterdam, or London respectively. The flight may be longer because of the transit, but you will save money and not pay $2000US for a ticket. That is outrageous. For economy ticket, you may pay around $1420CDN for a return ticket that is good for 6 months. Even that $1420 is too much, the most I have paid
wowowww No, please nothing is expensive like that in Africa... Never pay 150$ for what?? They are just acting like they are tough, don't give them 150 , just play the game until you buy it at 80 or around 100$
love you guys keep on what you are doing in Ghana
I didn’t know you had a dad, that’s Ghanaian and live in Ghana!❤️ Wow, you have family in Ghana, awesome ❤
He lives in the States but now he's retired and plans to move back to Ghana

Hello BlairsNGhana.
Nice video . Nice trip to Ghana too.
Mrs Blair , you said you stayed at your father's house in Accra , is your father a Ghanian ?
Hello ❤️ and yes, he is!

It's actually hot but not dry heat like NV or AZ. Plus, Cape Coast gets a nice breeze. If you wanted a pool, you can do it.
@@BlairsNGhana Thank you
I’ve seen beautiful furniture videos in Osu. I want to have some furniture built. Did y’all see any furniture on the street while driving in Osu.
We seen furniture on the street in plenty of places but can't remember seeing any in Osu. Probably wasn't paying attention.
Are you going to share some of the things you purchased?
We haven't purchased yet, but we did pick some items out that we liked.

Hey lol ....We're not in the Pav, but Ohiaba is close, and we flew Delta. The leg room was comfortable.
3.06. Blair pronounced Akomapa properly. Akomapa means good heart
Where were you when your Uncle took you guys to the place with quality stuff?
At the Kwame museum

@@kwakuakonto8942 Thank you! We did made reservations on British Airlines.
Could you give me the name of the hotel that you stayed at, only thing I don't know if I could cope without a fridge in the room.
I definitely understand. The name of the hotel is Akomapa Village Art Center in Elmina right beside Coconut Beach
Hey, Do you guys fight at all like normal couples?
No 😆 knock on wood!!! We are the same sign. We're real chill we usually just talk things out before it escalates.
Will y’all be back in January?
Next summer/fall
