NOTHING LIKE THE REAL THING- I REMEMBER THIS PRAISE SONG IN THE LATE 90s, HEARD IT THIS MORNING ON WLIB ( 1190) I IMMEDIATELY SMILED AND WENT DOING MY DANCE/ SHABACHHHHING 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾❤❤❤
I would attend the Annual summer conference every year at the New Orleans Superdome and they would open the night service with this praise each night!!! Ooh it was great times and so much fun. God moved mightily!!!!!
I notice how everyone keeps saying they remember when they used to sing this song. Just imagine if this language is closer than we think to God and if we continued to speak it, oh how blessed we could be!!! #Shabach #Barach
The church I grew up in used to sing this song and I loved it when they did. Shoutout to Pastor Joel Brooks and Christian Life Center (now known as Stones Church) in my hometown of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Takes me back to New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur Ga. The late Bishop Eddie long man the whole congregation got it in witth the holy Ghost with Byron Cage as the prause leader 1995. Man GOOD things happened at that church no matter what ! 1995 this was sang a lot there , Byron Cage the first person I met at the church. I opened the door after church was over, the doirs were locked and he wanted to get in he said hello and we introduced are selves and said God bless you brother. Boy what a time. Snapfinger drive lol long walk if u got there late you had to park on Weskey Chapel at the supermarket parking lot or other places where you could possibly park. But it was cool sometimes because Id meet somebody walking to New Birth too. Met a few nice sisters too. Singles ministey was nice too. Good times all the way round. Love this song
Man this was and still is the jammmmm.... I liked this when it came out in the mid 90's. Glad to know that Byron has stayed with the FGB Association too.
It's not ancient Hebrew and the English isn't actually a translation. I always know when people have heard this song and come with the incorrect translations lol! I think the only one that's correct is the "to sing"
I will bless the Lord with all my heart and all that is within me ! Psalm 34 King James Version (KJV). 34 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. 3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. 4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. 5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and ...
Yet we get the first President with a Hebrew praise name and not only did we forget how to praise the lord any longer, black people are still saying what has he done for black people. Sounds alot like moses and the children of Israel. Never satisfied and always complaining. Which is the reason why the original people who left Egypt never made it to the promised land. You better shabak and Barak and all the other 5 before the Lord.
Glory to God I worship and praise you lifting you up giving you life in and through everyone around me as we come together worshipping and serving you
This was my favorite song as a child. It’s been stuck in my head all day lol. Time to teach my kids. Thanks for posting
