I really enjoyed this lovely video. I visited the amazing Isle Of Wight in 2016 and walked the coastal paths from Yarmouth via the Needles to Freshwater and from Sandown to Ryde. And I absolutely loved it. My plan is to come back and walk thr whole coastal path and also explore a bit inland. Thank you for this lovely video and Happy New Year 🎉😁

Lovely to see your enthusiasm for your little daughter. A tip from an Islander : If the wind is from the North, walk along the beach, having checked the tides, where there are cliffs and ...hey presto....no north winds Obviously you have to choose your spot; I live in the West Wight, so I often walk from Brook to Chilton Chine Don't walk too near to the cliffs because of mudslides and rock falls. I repeat : check the tides !

Hi there . I was born on the Isle of Wight 71 years ago, then when I was three, my late Father it would be a good idea to move to New Zealand. I manged to get back for my 70th Birthday, a surreal experience. Will get back one day to see more as it was a bit rushed. I was told at the Needles after a bit of confusion over my Kiwi accent, that I was indeed a caulk head or caulky . Apparently named as such as the boats back in the day were caulked between the planks to stop water leaking in. Congrats on the new arrival.
Hi Guys I just stumbled on your awasome vid and realized we were literally there in IOW around the same time 27 dec 2021 and we too stayed at seaview! Your Drone shots were fantastic and you must have had a lucky day on the needles as it got body-pushing windy when we got there and my mavic2 was like "erm, nope!" I laughed at the bit where it started to get dark cos I know that feeling it was only 3.30pm and there is pretty much nothing else to do in IOW from then😅! Although i hope you managed to check out the Christmas house light hunts, that was something really nice to see at night this time of year! It was our first time in IOW (covid brought us here lol) and we too realised this place must be buzzing in the summer especially seeing the dino-crazy golf and blackchine all closed up in winter. I know a few nice extra spots really cool for drone shoots are you guys heading back in this summer? PS big congrats on baby Brooke she is adorable, we have 2 lil baby girls ourselves so we know going around in winter is a big challenge so kudos to your really nice edit! Happy NY

Without a doubt, the prettiest baby I have ever seen.
Compared to the upper Midwestern USA it is plenty warm. Have had some nights here at 25°F (3.89°C) with 27 mph (43.45 kph) winds. Weather here is more like living in Scotland. Love fossils and fossil hunting. I take coffee or tea seriously preferably black, Earl Grey, or Gunpowder. All kids are great we are finishing up on our last grandchild or 4 grandkids. She is 7 this year. Good video on the Ise of White at li looks like a great place for the off-season. Looks to touristy for a summer visit it would more in line with vacationing on the Great Lakes for us. (Pretty much all the tourist stuff) We like low key, slow vacations with fossils, history, conversation with the locals, not fairy tours, beaches, & etc.

Such a shame it's not the Island it use to be, the island is crumbling , so many roads are closed and many businesses have closed down. Sandown is in a state of disrepair etc.

The Isle of Wight is my only home away from home. My nan lived there while I was growing up, and we'd visit her in Ryde every Christmas, Easter and summer holiday, and drive more or less all over the island.
It's always good to see the island getting some love, especially from fellow South Coast dwellers like yourselves :)
