The car barely moves as it is, I have removed the TCM , yup K00. If i just had it replaced wouldn't it have to be K05. Interesting. We need lawyers for this type of stuff?
Hey Ben, love your channel! Im an old ford mechanic but my 2012 focus is acting up. I removed the tranny thought the seals might be leaking but ford dealer installed the new brown seals and clutch at 55k. Getting p0715,16,18,p073f,p074b,p2700andp2701. Transmission failure warnings and will shift into neutral by itself. Shift forks were free and working well. Changed both shift actuators with ford parts but no fix. Should i gamble and buy a new ford tcm and can I program it with forscan or will i need to take it to a dealer? Its getting frustrating, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again!
Hi! I would change the speed sensors on the transmission, the clutch and forks and slave cyl for p2700, and pull the back case off to inspect synchronizers for p074b p073f. I have a video called dps6 used transmission inspection which shows how easily the back case comes off to inspect those
I found out I have the k05 in mine. I trashed 2 tcms that are k00 and a remanufatored tcm no label lasted 200 miles and stopped working. Now I have a junk yard k05. Tcm works like a charm. Just had to do the adaptive learning thanks for the videos . Knows I have the best tcm makes me feel better. Cars works perfectly now I understand why . Follow this man's youtube. Saved my car

Transmission no problem since Module recall TCM replacement, PCM, computer, clutch replaced at 75,000 miles. Now has 110,000. New plugs, air filter didn’t affect vibration at an idle. Any ideas before I take it to the Ford Dealer? Car runs good.

I just had to replace the TCM on my son's 2017 Ford Focus. It was not covered under warranty as my other son's 2013 Ford Focus was. I had the dealer give me the old part and its tag says K04. It is a Ford part. Is that a part that should be under warranty? Please let me know. Thanks
@patmcwilliamsmusic hi, it's very unusual for a tcm to fail on a 2017 or 2018. What codes and symptoms were there, and are they gone now? K04 is a calibration ID. It's what was programmed originally on that tcm, it's an indication of how old it is. I was a little misleading on this video and corrected myself on a newer one.
@@BigBensCarsAndCycles The clutch was done on that vehicle last year as well. As well had the O2 sensor replaced but still getting P0135, P0131, P2237 codes. It was ok for about 6 months
Ben has need a little help as always. So I put a clutch kit in a 17 focus and now I can’t get It to start. Saying “engine fault service now” there are zero blown fuses. Another weird thing is my OBD2 port will not let me connect to It. Not sure what I could of did to cause this issue. I’ve done 30 clutches and this one is a first for Me. The cars engine ran good before the clutch kit install. Any suggestions would be great
Found It. Pinched and broke 2 wires under the back of the transmission mount. Another question. Are the the 6f35 transmissions rebuildable or does a new transmission need put in . 2013-2017 ford fusions/escapes.

I had my tcm replaced under warranty about 6 months ago i’d say now, i just looked and they gave me another K00 instead of a new redesigned K05 they said the tcm warranty is a one time thing/one time replacement. if it fails would it be on them for installing a outdated part that they know could fail again, and would they give me another free one for that if i were to go them or if it failed? Thanks
Wish the warranty wasn’t a guaranteed replacement until it actually fails, checked mine and seen it’s the original design so hopefully it doesn’t randomly kick the bucket while I’m on the highway or something 😅
Hi ben , i got engine light and have faced delay when i accerlate above 2000 rpm , i contacted racv they detected 2 issues one is transmission control module and body control module, although car is alright it is starting well, but sometimes i am facing rpm issue while i accerelate

At 2:43 that coil thing is a Inductor . Theres a Capacitor connected to it that go's bad. MY comment about the wheel barrel full of TCM`s and rack and pinion`s are Going to mexico to be remanufactured BOOMER OUT ,,,,,,,,,,,,

I had my TCM replaced under warranty back in May 2018, looks like i'll have to go look for the sticker the next time i do an oil change

Check the obd2 fuse on the passenger side fuse panel inside. Then reseat the battery fuse panel connector if you had it unplugged. Any codes?

I would get a k05 from a junk yard or ebay. Your tcm could fail at the worst time. Up to you! Hope this helps
