i crocheted my first mini cactus! i've been wanting to make this for so long and i'm glad i finally got to do it. it was super easy. the result is amazing and every time i look at my little plant i get so happy lmao. another thing i appreciate a lot is how you didn't fast forward anything. i'm not a new crocheter but it's nice to keep going without having to pause or rewind. it's fun to crochet together. :D
I’m going to crochet for the first time dong this cactus, I want to do it for my mom for Mother’s Day and this is so help full for me, I never crocheted something and never took any lessons or learn about crochet but this is so easy to understand, I like how you explain and teach
I used brown for the pot, mint green for the cactus, and light pink for the flower and it turned out really cute! I've named her Peggy ☺. Thank you for the pattern!
I just started crocheting and so far I have tried and made 4 things from your videos and they have all came out pretty nice. I’ve tried to follow other people but they just do not explain like you do. Ti end up getting frustrated or just give up because it’s so hard. Thank you so much for all of these videos. ❤️🌵
I love making these Laura. You instructions are clear and easy to follow. I've made 8 of these and plan on selling them. I glue on googly eyes to give it a whimsical look....and I have to admit.....they look adorable. Thanks again.....
By the way, I weighted it down with a glass marble inside the pot, then stuffed it. And I find for small projects cotton balls work very well for stuffing. Or cotton from pill bottles.
You are such a great instructor! You show the steps and speak the steps so clearly..it is much appreciated for this wanna be crocheter! Thank you for this tutorial
I love all your videos and I do try most of them. These little cacti are sooo cute. I put 5 pennies in the pot before a bit of stuffing and they stand really well . It is so easy to follow you. You are a wonderful teacher!
I enjoy doing this project together ❤ love how easy you make it to crochet. This is my first time doing small projects. I understood your instructions. Great job, and am proud of myself to.
This is precious! I love your tutorials and your explanations as you go. I love your use of "fiddly bits" and started using that term myself. I'm making a key chain out of mine! Thanks for all your hard work and for sharing with those of us who can't write a pattern or figure where to start on a new project!
I love ur videos, they’re easy to follow along and I like when u talk to urself..I do it a lot when I’m crocheting (sometimes my words get quite colorful) so I’m glad to know that’s the norm with fellow crocheters lol 😂
Love this pattern! I enjoy doing the little projects, and just made three ice cream cones! And they're low calorie, too! Easy to follow instructions and you have a pleasant soothing voice! Appreciate your hard work in making crochet easy!!
This is just the cutest thing ever! It took me several tries and lots of frogging, but I did it! Your creations are unbelievable, Laura. I love them all. You are so talented! I've made the little baby doll and the turtle. So adorable!!!!
So lovely! I made this and it's really cute. I think they should have a GCSE for crochet or knitting..why is it there isn't one? Maybe someone should petition the school board because I really think it would benefit the UK's young people. Teens have such pressure and stress these days that they deserve to have a relaxing and creative option like this for GCSE too!! It needs to be done ;)
Just found you today and I am fairly new to crocheting and this project inspires me. Thank you. I subbed and will be spending enjoyable time learning...as you are a good teacher, and thank you for showing close ups of the exact stitches.
if using double crochets for stuffed things, i like to use linkrd ones. They are packed tighter (just like two rounds of single crochets) and can hide the stuffing better.
Thank you for these cute cacti ( I once got corrected outside a florist for called them cactus's lol 😱) I have made two of these one with double yarn and a lager needle to make it abit bigger I love them and they have the colour without the prickles 😊Amanda xx💕🌵
You have such a lovely manner, sharp, well-lit videos, an easy way of explaining your process and really interesting, cute and fun projects that make me want to try them. I'm so impressed and can't wait to find the time to have a go. Quick question just out of interest (I'm not in any way telling you that you shouldn't haha) but I was curious as to why you use the US stitch names as your main terminology rather than the UK?
Ive been wanting to make this for a while now, and I got to making it today! Its such a cute little cactus :D I love the mini things you make on this channel
I completed my first mini cactus last night and it's super cute! You're a great teacher and your voice is very soothing. Thank you for sharing your creativity and talent with all of us! Hugs, Vina in California p.s. I used Patons Grace cotton yarn in the color Fiesta for the pot and I added a few glass pearls in the pot as weights to keep it standing. I wish I could insert a picture of my cute cactus. Off to make a few more!
This tutorial is the best. First cactus made. Can't wait to try some other ones. Thank you very much for that! O learned a lot with such a small cactus! :)
