I fail to see how this is much better than the V1. The V1 felt like an Xbox controller, big analog sticks, good triggers and even pretty light! The elastic system didn't cause many issues really. The V2's copying the switch design, smaller analog sticks, clickable triggers???? even heavier????? None of this justifies the 120 euro price tag when it's a clear downgrade. Yeah it fits larger phones, but if your phone works with the V1 already I don't recommend getting the V2.
Switching the full height control sticks with trash switch style ones and raising the price to $100 makes this an absolute brain dead buy. The original Kishi can be bought for $40 and is great for that price
don't know what the problem was with the V1, it allways works for me, full fledged joysticks which are a big deal for me, not these switch like tiny ones, clickable triggers makes it feel more cheaper in my opinion. Design might be better then the V1 but i've worked my way around it completly and i love my puppy.
Backbone gave them a run for their money! I picked up a Backbone about a month ago and it’s been great with mobile games and XCloud. Won my first Fortnite game on the go last night 🥳
Bro... i have a razer kishi... you blew my mind with this. Thank you for covering this im definitely going to look into getting one. I honestly loved the original kishi so this is just awesome for me.
Prefer this over the backbone. My ps edition backbone dpad & L2 just stopped working after a month. My Kishi v1 is still going strong over a year now. V2 here I come.
Yesss same I had the kishi v1 I hated it everything about it then I had the backbone so many times I replaced it the triggers and bumpers are not that good there mushy feeling the buttons are hard to press and the joysticks are bad but the v2 joysticks are different alittle more range. I have the kishi v2 for iPhone iOS and it’s way better better buttons and triggers and dpad is way better then that mushy dpad on the backbone microswitches are the best
I bought two kishi over the past 2 years ... they both broke lol no aggressive use just regularly gaming ...always felt the V1 was poorly constructed. Excited to try this v2... maybe it'll get me back to the cloud gaming
@Sunny Cloud Gaming u got to be careful using thumbnails with your mouth wide open and u holding an object to it. Lol I'm just saying. Also 2:19 are the triggers pressure sensitive analog triggers or are they digital (just off or on) . If the triggers aren't analog this would be a huge downgrade from the first kishi for racing games.
PRO TIP:....What many people forget or dont realize is that you can also connect your samsung phone via DEX and play your emulator games on your smart tv wirelessly which makes it even more badass with the controller.💪😎 Havnt seen any videos on that.
RE: The dedicated screenshot button. Is there a way to disable the insanely loud shutter sound that it plays when you take a screenshot with that dedicated screenshot button? Even if you have earbuds on it plays a LOUD shutter sound out of the phone speaker, not the earbuds. I see no options for it in the Nexus software. I have the shutter sound turned off at the OS level in the camera app and via the button combo for system screenshots. Pressing that dedicated button on the Kishi V2 still blasts a LOUD shutter sound through the phone speakers when you press it. It's so loud that it will turn heads in a room. As a result, I will never use that button because it's incredibly annoying to others around you. I've reached out to Razer support but so far I've not heard back from them on whether or not this is something that is intended (which would be insane IMO - making such a LOUD sound mandatory is absolutely something you should speak to if that were the case, because it's enough of an issue to recommend avoiding the use of the button if annoying those arounds you is a concern) or if it's an issue and needs to be updated.
I'll wait to snag one this black friday for sub 50 bucks. Original Kishi working just fine for now for the 20 minutes or so of mobile gaming I get per week lol
As soon as I heard "clicky" dpad and the sounds of the shoulder buttons, I lost all interest. I have the first Kishi and I love the softness and quietness of the first one and will stick with it.
Hey what’s boosteroid? I’m looking into it but I’m not too sure. I saw Cold War and I want to play zombies but I don’t want to pay for the subscription if it’s complete garbage
Great video! Curious if your able to use the rubber inserts with your s21 ultra? I have the same exact phone. I took both rubber inserts out in hopes I could use my case with it but mine didn't seem to fit. Even with my phone being caseless, my phone still doesn't seem to fit with either set of the rubber inserts. So it's only usable with my phone being caseless and no rubber inserts at all. I'm scared of this damaging my phone.
Are those clicky triggers even analog? WTH? Are they clicking when you start pulling them, or when you hit the max? What does this do to a driving game?
Doesn't anyone have my problem? I use the earbuds 2 pro and when i connect this controller the default microphone its the phone one. Or i just got complains about my voice level because the controller blocks the microphone, can someone help me?
Thank you for this. Have v1 and was a bit interested in this one. But after seeing ur review i think i’ll pass. Clicky analog shoulder buttons?! Why 😖. But the main thing that made me decide was the sticks. I feared, from looking at the images, that they’d be a exact copy of backbones sticks and u confirmed that they were 😞.
Prolly said before but COD and Apex mobile works with the kishi v2 if you connect a Bluetooth controller (xb or ps) while it's connected. Also I made a video on my channel a few days ago on how this is THE GREATEST MOBILE CONTROLLER FOR FPS GAMES. Seriously check it out. I'll show you why.
I just want them to bring that game to Stadia so i can play it again... the constant updates heat my phone up so bad and take so much time and space... that game would be awesome if it was on Stadia where you dont have to worry about that kind of stuff
Sunny, you have to be one of the very best cloud if not THE best cloud gaming channels out there, however your videos have become noticeably spread out and that's because you've always lent toward Stadia as your platform of choice. I think even you know it's time to throw in the Stadia towel now, there are other platforms to get behind and seriously Stadia doesn't deserve the backing you've given them, you are too good for them mate.
What is this expensive garbage. How about some back buttons, a decent d pad, rumble motors, interchangeable back grips and interchangeable analog sticks. Wish I could just build my own.
Unfortunately this pretty much looks like what I expected. A wholesale ripoff of the Backbone. I was hoping it would keep the longer joysticks of the Kishi, basically one of two advantages it has over the Backbone. But being just a Backbone with no headphone jack or play on any screen functionality, this has no use for me as a lifetime owner of Backbone+. For anyone who wasn’t lucky enough to get the lifetime Backbone+ subscription, I recommend this controller over the recently announced Backbone for Android. I hope this forces Backbone to stop being so boneheaded over their subscription model. No one wants their controller to lose remapping and recording function unless you shell out $50/year. That’s an absurd price.
Well said! Pretty much agree with everything you've said. Backbone One for me has always been number 1 but until recently it was only available for IOS Now that the Backbone subscription cost to use some of those features. I would put this one as Number 1 for Android (For me personally). Especially since it's mostly a carbon copy of my favorite mobile gamepad
Backbone copied them the had they 1st mobile controller that works well for cloud gaming I told you about this controller 🎮 last year sunny 😎 on you Livestream check my page out

Agree, have a backbone one and the sticks are terrible abs nothing like a console controller and more like switch sticks
nah haters
Do you still get the app and all that with them original kishi?
Man my V1 Kishi just came in a couple days ago. Works well with my Pixel 6.
I honestly love mine a lot no issues in my opinion
Yeah me too bro
don't know what the problem was with the V1, it allways works for me, full fledged joysticks which are a big deal for me, not these switch like tiny ones, clickable triggers makes it feel more cheaper in my opinion. Design might be better then the V1 but i've worked my way around it completly and i love my puppy.
yea I prefer the v1
My only issue would be that it's not as portable as it's the original kishi, the original, folds really compact.
Oh nice eye i didnt even notice that
The only reason i dont like v1 is because u have to keep taking off your phone case idk if u still have to on v2
But the rigid back should keep it from flipping in the heat of battle.
Backbone gave them a run for their money! I picked up a Backbone about a month ago and it’s been great with mobile games and XCloud. Won my first Fortnite game on the go last night 🥳

Love my V2, paired with gamepass, it retired my switch.

I love the compact design of the previous kishi 🤔
Still no headphone jack is a HUGE letdown tho
I don't think any of the android controllers have a headphone jack. could be limitations
The backbone does and they're making a usb-c version
@@Rockmirth Backbone been saying that for years but how did Kishi beat them to the punch 🤷🏾♂️
I bought two kishi over the past 2 years ... they both broke lol no aggressive use just regularly gaming ...always felt the V1 was poorly constructed. Excited to try this v2... maybe it'll get me back to the cloud gaming
How does the Kishi V2 compare to the Gamesir X2 or Gamesir X3? I know you were a fan of the X2 so is it worth the switch for either?
Great review!

I use V1 with my S21Ultra all the time.
Same here I have s22 ultra fit well

maybe thats why i cant find an orginal Razer phone on ebay
I'll wait to snag one this black friday for sub 50 bucks. Original Kishi working just fine for now for the 20 minutes or so of mobile gaming I get per week lol
Can u play with your phone case on cuz kishi 1 u have to take your phone case off wich is kind of annoying
They definitely designed it just like Backbone but with Kishi own style with more buttons
How are the deadzones on the analog sticks? Does it have any? a little? alote?
What's a case that I can use for my samsung galaxy s21 plus, so that I won't have to remove the case for.
As soon as I heard "clicky" dpad and the sounds of the shoulder buttons, I lost all interest. I have the first Kishi and I love the softness and quietness of the first one and will stick with it.

My phone is a20 and i want to play fortnite on this device can i play it with good preformance
I haven't try the Razer Controller yet but this maybe I'll give it a try...

Can you fit a galaxy tab 7, i think is about 8 inches ???
Can I play FFVII The First Soldier with Razer Kishi V2?
Good review, my man. Does a USBC headphone work? I use one with my pixel 6
My only question is does it feel better to play shooting games with it. I have the Razer kishi 1 and its a little difficult to play shooting games
Way better because it’s slimmer the backbone is okay but I prefer the kishi v2 a lot more for my iPhone
How are the diagonals on the d-pad?
Are those clicky triggers even analog? WTH? Are they clicking when you start pulling them, or when you hit the max?
What does this do to a driving game?
They are analog ? He just clicked it like that it’s analog I have it rn it’s better then the backbone i had I have the kishi v2 for iOS
Doesn't anyone have my problem? I use the earbuds 2 pro and when i connect this controller the default microphone its the phone one. Or i just got complains about my voice level because the controller blocks the microphone, can someone help me?
I think Backbone is probably taking so long to release Android Version because they have to release the App to Android too
Can you use the screenshot button for stadia?
Looking forward to seeing the reviews of Gamesir X3 and Backbone for Android
Thank you for this. Have v1 and was a bit interested in this one. But after seeing ur review i think i’ll pass. Clicky analog shoulder buttons?! Why 😖. Can a type-C headset be inserted on the controller?
I don't think so. All these USB c Port seem to o ly Transport electricity but no data
Which one is better: Backbone or Kishi v2?
Back
Will the Kishi work with Amazon Luna on your phone too?
Yes
@@SunnyCloudGaming Thanks!
So how does it compare to the backbone?
Well the Kishi v2 has better buttons and triggers it Kidd feels a lot better to me i had the backbone but I prefer my kishi v2 for my iPhone
Time to review the gamedisir X3 ;)
This thing is very flimsy. I can't recommend it to anyone who plans on taking it outside the house.
I think they should've named it something else
It's nothing like the original kishi
Looks more like the backbone right?
@@wolfcloudstudios right
