I completely agree on the back zip vs. chest zip. With a 3/2, it doesn’t matter (in my experience, at least) as much since the water isn’t that cold. I upgraded to a chest zip 5/4 a couple years ago and it’s made a huge difference in warmth. I do struggle getting my hips into chest zips though, so I go a size up.

Yes chest zips for those winter wetsuits makes it so much warmer!! And I agree it does get some getting used to when getting in and out of them ❤
The attached hood is definitely a must. I surfed for years with a separate hood, which always bunched up and leaked water into the neck.
