A video was taken off due to copyright issues, i have been in contact with the company and they are going to contact6 youtube requesting my channel be put back on.

I agree, it's not youtube fault as they face being prosecuted if they don't comply with the record companies demands for video/audio removal. Down with WMG, oh wait thats were all my music comes from erm. Stupid Monopoly!

It's definitely not youtube's fault, they don't want to be sued.
I'm sure only a small portion of the song was played too.
I've had 2 Tenminmixes get silenced because the record companies don't want me to play their songs.
It sucks

youtube can be an excellent push media, but you are not independant and allways risk the guillotine.
I understand that you cannot give the name of the company then.. maybe a cat# of the release involved just for curiosity ? :)

This makes no sense what-so-ever....let me explain, if someone is playing a song they are promoting it, so why would a record company want to silence the video? Its free promotion for the songs artist, and should help in promoting the sales of that song or record...dont ya think?

Just say you used it under the fair use policy that says you can use copyrighted material if it is used for teaching and/or education
