To ensure that you get the latest toolbar update in Version 13.2 of Mathematica, you may have to run the following code: PacletInstall["NotebookToolbar", UpdatePacletSites -> True]
Thank you Theodore for returning to Wolfram Research and pursuing this wonderful extension of the utility of Mathematica which I believe will have amazing benefits for the growth of Computational Knowledge to benefit all mankind… Syd Geraghty
Just as with ordinary Notebooks, there are many ways to use Chat Notebooks. One that I’m particularly excited about-especially because of its potential to open up computational language to so many people.
Based on this wonderful presentation, I paid real money for OpenAI access. The $20/month charge is for access to ChatGPT. Access to the API and to get an API Key is different. It's an additional cost based on usage. My initial api charge was $5. My guess is if you will be using Wolfram Desktop (new name for Mathematica?), there is no reason to pay the $20/month for ChatGPT, especially if you're finally taken off of the waitlist for GPT-4 access. (That's a separate step after getting API access -- until then requesting to use the GPT-4 LLM under Wolfram will return an error).
13:00 Dunno how you come to the conclusion that you need to resend the whole conversation via the API to get context. I asked GPT-4: "do you maintain context on the server or on the client side?" just to make sure and from that I don't think your claim is true. "The maintenance of context in a conversation with an AI language model like mine can be handled on the server-side, client-side, or a combination of both, depending on the specific implementation. Server-side context maintenance: In this approach, the server keeps track of the conversation history and context. When a user sends a message, the server can recall previous interactions and provide more contextual responses. Server-side context maintenance might be used in situations where there is a need to manage conversations over extended periods or across different devices. Client-side context maintenance: In this scenario, the context and history of the conversation are maintained by the client application. The client sends not only the current message but also relevant conversation history to the server, which then generates a response based on the provided context. Client-side maintenance is often used in situations where data privacy is a concern, or where it is necessary to reduce the load on the server. Hybrid approach: Sometimes, a combination of server-side and client-side context maintenance is used. This might involve keeping some context information on the client-side and some on the server-side, depending on the specific requirements and constraints of the application. In the case of OpenAI's GPT models, context is typically maintained within a single session... "

Thanks this cleared it up perfect!

Good to have the legend back at Wolfram Research. Wolfram defined the notebook paradigm and now its back under the eyes of its creator!
Very useful, thank you.
Computation Unleashed! ^.^
This is fantastic and staggering. English is the new programming language. The question will be what skills we need to teach 95% of people.
oh the side chat is super smart. glad i caught that in this video.
Yess finally a snarky persona. I've been waiting for this for so long. The overly polite models feel so fake
We are in the presence of Mathematica royalty!

Yeah, that's really annoying and OpenAI is also not transparent at all when it comes to who gets API access and when, sadly.

I already have a ChatGPT Plus subscription, but it looks like I need another for the API.
Automation didn’t just begin with ChatGPT-it’s a core principle behind UIs that expose complex tasks with simple controls.
Super awesome. But I was hoping a fix that when you ask chatGPT to do math, it doesn't really know how.
👏👏👏
Does'nt work. When I type "tell me about dogs", the answer is " You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details."
Has the same issue... Happened to me with 13.2, and now with 13.3 installed today, still the same. I already have a ticket open with it.
Doesn't show up in the cloud version 😥
Are you still having this issue? It looked like it was working today.
@@noahchartoff7373 No! (Not having this issue anymore). It worked a few days later! 🤗
