The dynamic that Kevin Ubanks and Jay Leno had was unmatchable during this era of late night.
This man had the funniest opening monalogues
He did have some really good ones ... I think all the older shows Johnny Carson when I was a kid , David Letterman , Jay Leno , Conan I think all those shows were better than the ones we've had since then . And I also loved Tom Snyder ... he was great ... and a great storyteller .
Right.
I'm looking for the one where he talked about the 2 people stranded at sea who survived on raw fish and urine. He said, " That's disgusting !
I hate raw fish "
Wow even on a semi-off night, Leno is still 1000x better than Fallon! The difference, you may ask? Leno is actually funny!
I dont care, Lenos monologues are legendary. Lol
It always cracks me up when he gets booed and he usually says, “Oh shut up!” like at 4:09 🤣
Kevin Ubanks is adorable! He always has a smile on his face! Great laugh!!
“Christian Slater Investigation!”😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jay Leno is ICONIC!
He was very popular for hes time. Filling Johnny shoes no small task
The guy was a riot and 1000 times more original than any of the others Loved his quirky off the wall bits like "Will this impress Ed Asner" Jaywalking, or the time he showed up at people's apartments and had them star in their own movie And his cracks about Olive Garden were hilarious
Funny you mention him cracking on Olive Garden because several years ago white rapper Post Malone took late night host Jimmy Fallon out to eat at Olive Garden , and I was making jokes about how that's not even authentic Italian food .
You wouldn't believe how many people gave me a hard time and try to argue with me telling me how great Olive Garden is .
Jay Leno was way ahead of the Curve that's for sure .
@@gardensofthegods Oh yes! The line is always, oh the endless breadsticks and the salad! You'd have to eat an awful lot to fill up before the "Tour of Italy" arrived with the canned tomato sauce that tasted like it was made by Chef Boyardee And Fallon is to comedy what the Olive Garden is to a real family owned ristorante in Roma
The Good Old Days!
Back when it was actually funny
Sometimes Kevin would come up with some really good ones .
He was simply the best in the business
Not ten minutes of political whining like late night hosts of today.
Keith I hate this era we live in ... I really miss the good old days . Johnny Carson , David Letterman , Jay Leno , Arsenio Hall and Conan O'Brien .
My childhood
Man, who forgets what it’s like to say people are fat and gay and not get killed over it?
Jay Leno is a 1990's favorite!
when the jay leno show came off the air i stopped watching tv
The late night shows we have now aren't just terrible, their evil.
please bring late night back
There’s no one better than jay I love him late night just not the same without him
The inflatable Halle Berry doll.. 😂
Leno ❤️❤️
I'm glad he brings some of his classic monologue antics and now even HEADLINES to his new show: "You Bet Your Life" it MADE me cry...🥲... of Laughter 🤣🤣
JAY: I was looking at some Battle Creek, MI advertisement in the paper, a touristy ad, and it calls itself "The Breakfast Food City..." OK NOW HOW FAAAAT have we gotten in this country and obsessed with eating to call a city "BREAKFAST FOOD...*HANDWAVE*...."
This was i’ll classy time in America. If you had told somebody from that time. That they would’ve laughed at you, but it’s true. Our society has broken down so far.
I miss jay❤
My high school years lol
back when late night talk shows were comedic and not political propaganda
i like the skunk hair cut look , real appealing : )
Man what happened to late night shows? It's all propaganda these days. Thank you Jay and Kevin for the many years of laughter
where can i watch the full classic episodes, if anyone knows let me know
No where. And my uploads get few views, fewer thumbs up and even fewer thanks.
Those were the days when everything wasn't so politically correct. Jay is awesome
Different time
i always liked or hated how he so constantly says "what else is going on" as if he's coming up with these in real time.
Maybe that was his subtle way of stalling, to give the guy time to get the cue cards ready for him to read
@@dennismclaurin1487 Holy you are right. Mr right is your name from now on. Until you're wrong though. Even in the tiniest way. Terms apply.
Prince Charles is now a King of London.
Times sure change. What do you think they hated more back then, poor people, gay people, or women?
They didn't hate any of those people back then. You either had a post 9/11 sense of country and strength or you hated George Bush. Other than that, humor was fully allowed on both sides.
(11:00) Well, Stone was his birth name but he changed it after he had that breakdown.
It's still a Flintstone-style name, either way.
What, you never wondered why he laughed like that? I think Robot Chicken did a documentary on his relapse. As Jay would say, "Did you see this? Did you hear about this?" ;)

I looking ate he show 1995. I. Still looking in the year of 2020
It’s Len O’clock!
Do you have The Jay Leno Show in 2009?
Oh, ok, that was the year he went prime time! NBC blocked those uploads, but I was able to upload a partial episode with Halle Berry, but I had to splice it frequently to avoid content ID. Lot of work; yet, some people still complained! ua-cam.com/video/rpGcDKCWclE/v-deo.html
Jay was hilarious. Sucks he’s probably gonna be remembered for the Conan thing
Lay Jeno
If Jay still here I’m sure he’ll have a blast making fun of Donald Trump
Yeah, just like other presidents, but not to the extent of today's comedians who use Trump as a crutch, just like they use obscenity rather than wit.
@@jeffzest8393 ah yes, the old tired trump as a crutch argument but we all know it just means they were spot on and hurt your little feefee booboos over your para social relationship with orange man.
Sad people
Sas
Sad
Leno was a wonderful standup comedian in the 80s, just check out his old stuff on Letterman, he's in the zone, sharp as razor. But his Tonight show stuff was painfully bland, and paint by numbers, despite great ratings. I never thought he was fully satisfied with his own performances either.
I vividly remembered Leno said "Holy Shiite" in one of his monologues, lol.
But seriously, the comedians of today just need to chill out about President Trump and the obvious leftist push. He knows it too - without him, they'll have ZERO material to work with. About the only exception is Conan... somehow I think he was forced go the political route by the higher-ups.
I didn't appreciate this show shame on me
That's such a vanity exercise of making sure you get Jay shaking hands with fans on camera. The little black spot on the front of his hair is like a black hole for jokes.
Not so much in my opinion. He really is that friendly. I went to one of his shows, and he patiently waited to talk to fans in line to talk with him. He also came out before the show in all denim and was generally warm and very entertaining...even more so than in the show!
Not a great set at all
God I miss late night like this
Me too.
