I decided to make a arbor out of old deck railing 2x2’s for a Concord grape vibe that was neglected for years. Seeing something built helps so much. Well done!
I bet the arbor is beautiful. This is really a very strong design. We have had no issues to date with it whatsoever. You can definitely build one just like it.
@@GeorgiaWoodsHomesteading I can hardly wait to move on my own, in the countryside, here in Romania, and mind my small projects.. this concept from DaVinci is mesmerizing to me.. I'll have a small house based on it.. this resistense structure concept and hempcrete..
Thank you, we have actually learned to not put cameras on our head anymore, the camera moves back and forth way too much. Our new videos have much better footage.-Nikki
We agree, this was a hard lesson learned. We now have a higher quality camera and a tripod. With the better quality we are having to upgrade our editing program as well, which is why we have not brought out new videos in awhile. But, hopefully soon we can start again with more updates of what's been going on.
Thank you 😁❤️ we are hoping to remake it someday with better footage. We will be making another bridge. We haven't posted new videos here lately due to having to learn a new program with our new equipment being better than what we had. Hoping at the end of this year we can start uploading again. We have tons of new footage that needs editing 😅
Yes, we have learned to never stick a camera on our head anymore 😅. The videos through time of trial and error are getting better. We have thought about redoing this video when we go to make another bridge.
@@kevindel7765 out of popular request we are going to recreate the video that will explain more. We didn't have great devices to record with back then. The bridge is still good so when we do look for the update.
Hello, I’m working on a project to build one of these that’ll need to be 45’ long and probably 6’ wide over a rather deep and fast flowing creek. I was wondering if there was a better way I could get in touch with you about your project, pick your brain for any ideas that might make mine go a little smoother, I don’t want to guess and then be stuck in chest deep fast water trying to come up with last minute solutions. I need it strong enough I can at least drive a lawnmower over it so I was planning to use 4x6x10 segments of pressure treated lumber for the frame and then probably synthetic decking for the flooring material, then I dunno what for handrails and such. I’m still working on permits but they want pretty detailed plans it seems before they’ll approve.
You can email me at Georgiawoodshomesteading@gmail.com and we can talk a little more about it while I am available. Truthfully if you are going to need it in that length you may end up having to build the bridge i made and using it for the support of the bridge you build over it. This bridge is based off of a circle so 10 foot sections will never make it across a 45 foot run. I almost think you would need 22 to 24 foot lengths of lumber to build it the way I did. I have had 1500 pounds on my bridge at once and it dosent budge so I am sure it will be plenty strong enough. For yours you may be able to connect the bridge on both ends into the side walls of the creek down in the water and then build a straighter bridge across the top being supported by Di Vinci design.
I will say the other part of the bridge length will be the weight of connecting it all together. Our bridge is only 23 foot across and me and my wife were able to do it. You may need a few more guys for one that size and maybe some heavy equipment on one side to get the weight of the bridge to the other side. It can be done, I'm excited for you.
Hello, this is the wife. I would love for you to make a video of your build as well. Keep us in the loop. We have plans to widen our bridge, and will be making more videos soon with much better quality of footage, editing, and sound. (This was recorded with a cheap camera). Hubby is correct, the Davinci Bridge, in your situation would be best used as support for underneath your main walk/driveway for the bridge. Maybe using two tide together.
Camera work hurt my eyes - however a family working together is a joy to my heart.
We learned where not to place the cameras in this video for sure.

Dogs having the time of their lives. Great job.
Yes they are. My wife wouldn't have it any other way.
Your bridge truly is golden! Many blessings to all of you!
Thank you so very much. It is one of our most enjoyable additions to our property.

Love it. That is exactly what I want to build across my creek.
You can do it. It is unbelievably strong.
Great work and a nice cameraman! Thank you

Get a tripod, can’t see anything with you swinging the camera around.

Very interesting nice bridge😊

Great subject but honestly, the camera was all over the place making this very hard to watch.

Is this a video of how you built a bridge or a freaking video of your damn dog running around?

@@timkilpatrick9978 I guess that would have been fine if my wife wanted a straight bridge but she didn't, she wanted an arch.
